In Islam, we are told to dress modestly. Understand that the modesty in dress is not for females only, but for males too. We are taught to be of high character, conduct, and values. I would like you to know that in many non-muslim civilizations, women used to cover themselves up. They did not know of islam's teaching, but they knew of the importance of this dresscode. Everything has changed now.. Covering up is considered oppression, while stripping is freedom. I understand that people are of different backgrounds, different cultures, and different beliefs. This is OUR belief. Lastly, we have no right to force people. We only have to deliver the message. It is fine that we are different, but we should come to an understanding. Thank you.

Do all Emirati women have to wear abaya and shayla or is it their choice? If they do, is it tradtional or legal principle? I realised that I had a wrong idea about what women in UAE wear, and I'm very confused right now, but I'm also very curious
It's not necessary to wear niqab but it completely depends upon women to wear niqab or not.. if they want to protect themselves extra then they wear it for extra protection.

The majority of the scholars agreed that niqab is not mandatory in Islam, and in Islam if something is debatable we go with the majority.
It's not necessary to wear niqab but it completely depends upon women to wear niqab or not.. if they want to protect themselves extra then they wear it for extra protection.
