Can't believe I haven't left a comment here before but yeah ... Ron is looking sooo handsome ... and he just carries himself so well! Oh and I love how he talks .... he is so attractive, always will be😘😘😘
It is certainly in the Top 10 of the Most Underrated Albums Ever, though that is a LONG LIST. Certainly Kim Wilde's "Teases & Dares" from the same year is, as is her album of the year previously-"Catch As Catch Can" (what a title too), which is actually THE most underrated album EVER, but also another Sparks album was dreadfully underrated too, lovely "From Outer Space". Then there's Kim Wilde's "Select" from 1982 and her "Another Step" album of 1986 and a full collection of her B-sides/non-album singles to make another album. Then we have Sandra's "Mirrors" (1986) & her "Into A Secret Land" (1988) plus her "Close To Seven" one from 1992. Equally Alphaville's "Afternoons In Utopia" (1986), "Catching Rays On Giant" (2010) & "Salvation" (1997) must make this list also, along with 'Til Tuesday's "Everything's Different Now" (1988), Voice Of The Beehive's "Sex & Misery", ABBA's "Opus 10", "Gemini" & "Geminism" albums from the 80s 9which is why they're known under a name instead of being recognised for what they are supposed to be). Also Natasha England's "Don't Walk Away" (1985), Big Country's "Driving To Damascus" (1999), Frida's "Shine" (1984), Agnetha's "Eyes Of A Woman" (1985), Cock Robin's "First Love/Last Rites" (1989), Crowded House's "Temple Of Low Men", China Crisis's "What Price Paradise" & "Diary Of A Hollow Horse" from '86 & '89, Maggie Reilly's "Midnight Sun" (1993) & Ace Of Base's "The Bridge" (1995) & Cathy Dennis's "Am I The Kinda Girl" (1996). Even Duran Duran's "Notorious (1986), "Red Carpet Massacre" (2007) & "All You Need Is Now" (2011) are hideously underrated, and if you can do that to an ABBA or Kim album you can do it to anything. Guess all I'm saying is it's a horribly big list, though I agree that Sparks would be in it at least 2x, and you're CERTAINLY CORRECT about this album. It'd be in my Top 10, and I've only just become aware of it 2 weeks ago and bought it on a half treatment on here, and am not disappointed! Though I am with how it's treated!
fantastic! just wear would you get a suit like that haha! totally love sparks and this is such a great track (though i think the version on plagiarium the better) great! :o)
Un truc qui sent les années 80 à 100 % seul Ronald pourrait être transposé à 2021 et quel humour... Un truc très marrant à écouter... Et heureusement Russell a changé de tailleur depuis.
6:29 I really hope a recording of Sparks performing on that "Funky Tomato" Japanese show exists somewhere. Real shot in the dark, I know, but with more Sparks clips showing up in wake of their rising popularity following the documentary, one can dream.
Awesome! A performance of this wicked song! Makes up (hardly) for the fact they DIDN'T MAKE IT A SINGLE! Now, I've nothing against 'With All My Might' & 'Progress' (which should be lower down the release choice bracket), but come on, this title track, 'Love Scenes', 'Sisters' & 'Kiss Me Quick' are synth-drenched tuneful awesomeness. I love this synth-based Sparks outfit of 1983-1984, wish it had lasted longer. People who can't accept this are stupid, as is the way the album is reviewed generally and treated commercially. Sparks don't sound like anyone else but themselves and that glam rock thing is so early 70s and best left there!
One of my favorite tracks from their 80's output. Could this be where they got the inspiration for their 2018 stomper 'You've earned the right to be a Dick'?
Meaning all the people who dropped them and didn't chart them properly in the UK for the whole of the 80s! And this song should have been a single! This album (which I add 'Sports' too so there's 10 tracks on it) and "In Outer Space" are their most awesome for me, as I just bought them last week, but I am trying also as many of their albums on here as poss as I know I'll need to add more Sparks albums to my collection. F me, I came to them late, but this is something many people on their vids say so thank F for the internet for some things!
Hair. He had the same hairdresser as Fanta used in their commercial 10 years something ago 😉😉😂 (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you can find it here on TH-cam)
I dont know what happened to it but i had an episode from 1986 with them doing Fingertips and Dick ask Ron does he know who Stevie Wonder is and Ron says "Who is this Steven Wonder" Dick then goes i better stop this before i get into trouble ladies and Gentlemen this is Sparks...here's Janet Jackson

Ron always steals the limelight.
Ron is so hot. I can't even explain it.
All I get is polite applause.
Applause, applause, applause, applause
Ron is BAE 💘
Ron, I Love You! You coolest man in the world! :)
"Ron's looking very very sexy. I'm gaping. Bloody hell, what a fox." ---> yes
Ahhhhh!
I still have this song recorded on cassette from 1984.
I saw it when it came out in theaters, in the early 90's.
"fast cars - and fast women!!"
priceless
Faster than the speed of coherent light.
That was Dick's cue to grab the mike (which he was probably about to do anyway). It's a family show that's afraid of offending parents and sponsors!
Oh gawd.... so.... funny..... xD "I gotta concentrate. Don't bother me."
most underrated LP of all-time
It is amazing. This and Trees-Sleep Convention. Very up there.

@@Devo13So nice seeing love for Sleep Convention. One of my absolute favorite albums, and the aborted follow up is great as well.
and this song is one of their very best
@@kyachdistent1301 Great picks! But the Sparks album "From Outer Space" was actually "In Outer Space."

Sparks Bandstand!

Sorry.Russ but those groovy moves and spiky suit won’t outshine Ron’s dashingness… 😳😆
what's that "growth"
on the side of
Bob's head???

That is a feather he always had affixed to the side of his head, I guess with some kind of paste.
Paste: Elmer's natural
Featuring Tilda Swinton on the drums.
3:53 Wow.. takes away the prop mic and gives a real live mic. Those clothes are oversized on purpose. Ron out of character.. interviewing.
