First Blood has a couple truly well choreographed and riveting car chases that I've loved since I was like 6 or 7 years old!!!

So badass they are! And still don't know which I prefer-when sheriff teasle is chasing him down on that dirtbike through town and into the hills and mountains or when Rambo commandeers that army truck and tangles with the three deputies in the cruiser on the highway. So fun!

That dirt bike scene is a great one. I think that'd be my pick.

I really liked big trouble in little china , that was another one of my husbands childhood favorites . He said thats where they got the idea for the game mortal Kombat.

@@MoviesNeverSayDie you're most welcome. I think Kurt Russell was very handsome when he was younger. Last week we watched Unlawful Entry with him and Ray Liotta , it was pretty good.

Also, Red Dawn yes!! Such an original and riveting plot idea that was in that movie. Truly dramatic, thrilling, moving, and suspenseful all at the same time. And three dimensional characterizations in some parts, too. Wasn't a black or white movie. A lot of grey.

Completely agree, sad to see that remake missed the mark completely.

@@MoviesNeverSayDie It is honestly obscene to me how far off they missed the mark! I thought the same thing about the Total Recall remake as well. Hollywood film industry is a really different place today than it was in 1984 and 1990 and mostly not in a positive way...

I got the DVD for "Big Trouble in Little China" last Halloween, and the first time I saw it, I watched it twice because it was that good ^^. It's kinda funny seeing Kurt Russell playing a bumbling but likeable blowhard long before Jack Sparrow or Star-Lord popularized that trope. Plus its a pretty entertaining PG-13 action movie that actually works unlike most movies that feel dull and watered down to avoid an R rating.
Also "They Live" is probably my (2nd) favorite movie by John Carpenter and I think it's a work of art. It might seem like a simplistic B movie, but the political satire makes it really deep, and feels more relevant now considering the absurd amount of product placement in recent TV shows or movies today.

BTLC is a classic! And so out of the box unique! Russell was great! I would agree on They Live something about that movie is just amazing. Plot, visuals, cast, concept. It's first class.

Richard Crenner is so hammy and cheesy with his dialogue but very cool all the same haha

Oh for sure. Did you ever seem him sort of reprise this role in Hot Shots Part Deux? So much fun!
