Hello thank you so much for getting back to me very kind of you I have an interview tomorrow and one Monday but really really nervous about the tests. If anything lets me down it will be the tests. But can only give it my best shot. Once again, thank you very much, Jack
Thanks for a trip down memory lane. My old hunting ground. Sad to hear you call the Yorkshire Grey the Macdonalds roundabout. That’s where the 44 tram to double back to Eltham and Woolwich 70 years ago! Times change. 70 years ago!
Hi only just seen this..I drove that route for a when I was at arriva… we sometimes had trouble with kids at middle park kings ground eltham and beaver wood school girls chislehurst but other than that ok..Loads of turns due to heavy traffic and light running….! and the pensioners before 9.30 “am I too early driver ?…ahh
Great videos please keep them coming I am in Scotland 🏴 and I have just passed my theory, hazard perception and CPC so I am just looking for a bus company to take me on and put me though my test. Can not wait been a long time coming. What was the interview light ? One company I phone said I have to sit an exam and if I don’t pass then I want even get an interview. Any way thank you for the great videos Jack
The test was just a quite easy, just want to test you use of English, and a bit of mathes relating to times. I work for Stagecoach they started in Scotland as you may know.
If I wasn’t sure of the way I was going when I was driving I’d ask the passengers. I wouldn’t ask the kids cause you’d end up in circles. That screen surrounds the driver nicely. The buses are pretty decent now days. The banter was nice between fellow drivers had a really good laugh. Even if I wasn’t disabled now I would not drive a bus anymore. That rattling would drive me nuts though. I had to learn 19 routes in one week when I was at Holloway garage. We got £100 for doing that. Of course I couldn’t remember them all as about 5 of the routes crossed over each other. Well I will watch your journey and see how long you can keep smiling for 👍😂😂
When you have you go on a different bus you e never been on been on before and how long do you take the route to get used to doing it before as you never been on before I think
@that bus driver guy. Yes 19 routes it was hard to learn. But the money was good 20 years ago. £15 a rest day on Saturday and £19 on a Sunday you could earn more on weekends than during the week. But main wage was only like £10 an hour. These days I’m sure money is better. I’m gonna enjoy watching your bus driving journey 👍
Hi mate, really enjoyed watching your videos. what's like being a bus driver, I'm mean I've driven a bus for 2 weeks. I'm from Sheffield South Yorkshire. Went this bus company call first group buses. I started the training and left after 2 weeks. I just this a big responsibility. I've passed my theory and hazard perception. driving a bus here in Sheffield. every day different route bit difficult. Especially the shifts. what's London like.
The turn you said that was 61 stand is actually a 161 stand, plumstead garage bus which i did for a few years before i left buses for hgv, best choice ever! No stress lol
TL put me on the rota for the 160 and it genuinely feels like It’s punishment 😩 the route is trash, it needs to be seriously revised and the big EV buses are wasted on that route, it should be a single deck route
@@thatbusdriverguy4182 Cuz that route is generally just not good imo 😩 its long, it’s too quite and you just feel like you’re isolated, plus the EV buses are such a chore too drive on the route. Like whoever said let’s put these massive buses on the route clearly put no thought into it
@@busdrivermalz1558 I hear that, but EV vehicles is a logical move considering TFL policy to drive down emission, I agree the route is very quiet. I don’t like dead routes.
"These buses are real quiet and smooth." *Bus shakes and rattles loudly Haha, love the video bro!
That bus driver is so lovely! Reactions like this warm my American heart
That woman was lovely! Interactions like that are priceless!
Do you have a time stamp? Would love to see it

19 routes one week wow
How are you and I hope you had a great Christmas xx😊 my Name is Chelsea I have been watching you on your TH-cam videos
Wait a sec, when the 160 used the Wright Streetdeck Gemini 3, wasn't it used by stagecoach or Tower Transit?
Interesting chat with Wayne
How do you feel when anyone has to change there route on another bus number or anything like that is it scaring to straigne to get on electric bus too

Hiya, I think London would be much the same, but depending on what part. I like doing my job in London
Nice one! I enjoyed this video.
Church on Eltham hill used to be a bingo hall

Wayne that was good
Interesting video. Enjoying the content. Keep it up ☺
So it's legal in the UK to just park on both sides of 2 way roads?? That's gotta lead to congestion at night when more cars are parked
16:50 Bromley North
the e400 hybrid is the first electric bus to come out to London
It’s not it is E200EV
Buziaki❤❤❤
The route is very long maybe I'll ride it everyday😂
Wayne I would like to drive that route the160

Ok, So why did it feel like punishment. The problem is 160 Ev buses is part of new contract. TFL requires new buses to run on newly won routes

Oooh thats weird, i live near eltham xD
Why did stagecoach take over arriva on that route?
They won the bid I guess, it use to be our routes before
Routes come up for tender. Companies bid
you don't take cash anymore do you?
No cash now
Waiting that was good
Maybe not vit l love the bus
