Thinking about putting a spring of some kind on the door or catch so it closes faster. Also thinking about using wire shelving material for building traps.. Might work fine. Thanks for the video
Would love to know the measurements of this befor you started cutting to make the doors etc, I’m guessing it’s 14 inches square not sure on over all length befor you cut the bits for the door and folded the back in.

Brilliant stuff... I remember my step dad used to shoot all the possums on our property (he was an asshole) I much prefer to humanely trap them and move them away from my place. Gonna build a few of these tomorrow.
If you live in a remote place how you gunna do that, much easier to make one with things you might have on hand ,not every one can just go and buy one you know.

So it takes less patience to do 4-6 hours of work to earn the money to pay someone else to build one than it is to simply spend 45 minutes building your own from scrap? strange logic.

Well done, the only change I would make is to replace the rope with aircraft cable or wire because the rope will dry-rot over time.

Oh yes moving them somewhere where they can kill more native birds and destroy more wildlife is much more humane.
Seems much easier to buy one at Harbor Freight Tools for $25, as I just did yesterday.
Ordered it online. They're $24.99 now.
