yes it is a great design. I just bought the cat traps and 1 trap closed when the cat was not even in yet, just sniffing. It can hurt the cats and now they are scared. I hope the cat is not hurt. This system does not hurt the cat and also does not scare it.
If you don't have a city dump where they can be picked up, many businesses/factories let you take them for free because they usually have to pay to get rid of them.

where did you ever find such straight wood? on one side mine is square but on the other end, the opening twists clockwise 30 deg. due to the warped wood. not wort it to work the warpage out of the boards. after all, its free wood and attracts less people attention who see it as a piece of junk not worthy of their time to investigate (and possibly steal or destroy).

If you don't want to bolt your chop saw to the bench, you can just use clamps.
It makes working a lot easier, safer and more accurate.
