Fixed! - Phone Not Connecting to PC but Charging Only

A tutorial on, how to fix if your Android phone is not showing on your PC but charging only. Phone USB Option not showing on PC.

Phone didn't sho.w up in other devices or any devices but my phone still gets charged from the computer. I followed all of your instructions

make sure the wire its self supports data transfer as some wires have only two wires connected for charging only

what if my device isn't showing up even on the device manager? my phone used to be recognised but now not even the device manager can show that it's charging. it's like the pc doesn't even realise there's something connected. its a Tecno Spark 10pro

My phone still doesn't show up on my laptop. The laptop is new though and I still haven't updated it with Windows. Do I first need to update my laptop for my phone to show?

you are a life saver. cant view my phone even if I turned on the USB debugging on the developer option. I tried the device manager, looked under the USB section, found USB that has error. tried to uninstall the device and then reconnect the USB cable. then voila, it is showing again. thank you!

Thanks, I have been fighting with my Pixel 7 Pro for over a year now, and every time I connect the phone to the PC the PC sees the phone but I have to go to my settings and switch to allow file transfer to connected device and since I watched this video... I switched to 'Developer Mode' made the usb settings change to 'file transfer' when connected device is connected via USB and now that I plug in the USB cable into the Phone to transfer Files to PC it defaults to 'File Transfer' Thank you for this video Techie Leopard 😃 Useful Information.👍

Pixel phones are infuriating. Whenever I get one I have to do something very similar. Under USB options, I have to turn on 'USB debugging.' Reconnect the cable, then select file transfer. But until I enable debugging, it refuses to do anything but charge.

I have a TCL 10 and mine says "Select USB configuration" but I'm not able to select it! I've tried USB debugging and that's not helping!

Thanks dude. It was already set up on transferring files, but not showing up. So I changed to transferring images, & then back to transferring files. It showed up both times.

You need off at the windows defender the core isolation because its blocking the not knowed driver which Huawei trying connected by HiSuite

Thnx for video it works well, and yeah you need to have also the cable that it has also data port inside the cable, all cables doesn't have that.

Check your cable. You need a data transfer cable, not just a charging cable. Type C USB to USB 3.0(blue color on inside of connector). Hope this helps.
