For your taste, which size do you prefer for travel between the 25L and 35L?
Uhm, excuse me.....sir. Where in this bag would I put my business papers?
Speaking of, @chase could I fit an iPad in that front/top pocket?
I couldn’t hit play on this video fast enough! Trakke is my all-time favorite for the feel of the materials alone. I carry a Fingal every day-even on travel days. I was so stoked to see their email announcing the new Storr and now I’m even more stoked because you dig it! I will 1000% be picking up the 20L. I’m so thankful I have a 13” MacBook. Thanks for another PERFECT bag video!!!
Found Trakke through your channel before. I appreciate the video, much love.
I love Trakke. Thanks to you. One of my favorite sling that’s been on all my travels with me is their original sling. They swapped it out for the banana one which I hate and I’m so glad I got mine before it was discontinued 😊. Good to see you pumping these vids out. Hope things are better
Yea, that original was excellent. still have mine.
love my og trakke sling@@chasereeves
Chase is BACK folks!
Great video. Thanks Chase!
Love this! Hope there is a Portobello Brief review coming soon
hey chase! glad to see you back and posting again - i miss these reviews they're definitely my comfort videos lol. i was just wondering if you had any recommendations for new bags or potentially old bags out there that could fit 2 laptops and maybe some camera equipment for example? I'm loving the 24-28L form factor - not too big to lug around for the day and not too small that it doesn't fit everything. i mean worst case is i could just get a sleeve and throw the second one in the main compartment, but if there was a bag out there that you really like with a dedicated laptop pocket that could fit 2, i would love to try it out
Agree on the Trakke zippers. I have the little Fingal backpack and even on a bag that small, the zippers are way too small and dainty. I love the zipper pulls but the zippers could be a lot beefier for sure.
Hey Chase, Those strap adjusters are from the same makers that produce the original/Austrian Cobra buckle. You'll see those "runes" on the Cobra buckles on your other packs :)
Hey Chase, great to see this video. I hope you are doing well! Quick questions: 1. how is the carry? Is it comfortable? 2. How about the lack of sternum strap? I think this will be noticed with the 35L bag packed for a trip, but would like to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks!
I always wanted the original Storr to have a smaller version. I carry the big one on longer trips and it’s perfect but for trips under a couple of weeks it was too much for me. The Hoy was nearly it, but it was a bit top heavy for my liking. But these look great.
These are just great. The folks at Trakke finally branched out of SMALL bags and gave us something for us who actually carry something daily :) Really dig them. Great review!
You wanted a travel bag to carry daily? Hmm.
@@PanaMaJwaaRd I need more than 15liters for my daily carry yes. Is that too hard to understand?
@@Dedalus11973 when you need 26L, yes it is hard to understand.
@@PanaMaJwaaRd People have different needs, people go to the gym, people carry around camera gear, people carry around clothes they need. People don't have to be boxed in by your world view.
@@Dedalus11973 have you tried not going to the gym?
I just got a new Trakke Bairn pro messenger I love, so I was considering the Storr. But I already have a Tom Bihn Aeronaut 45 from about 7 years ago. Would the Storr be a lateral/down move? Thanks, Chase!
Literally heirloom quality
People complain Trakke is too pricey, but I think their price is adequate when it comes to a europe made product. I have a floppy bag made in France and it costs me almost 200 euros. It's just a minimalist hobo bag without structure, not like a Trakke bag. You will definitely get the quality you pay for.
Nice Video..What is the brand and model headphones inside the bag with the case please? The websites is under construction..How Much Each Bags please?
Love it
How do bags from aer and goruck compare to these from trakke?
Great video as always, Chase! Quick question: how are the back panels and the shoulder straps? From the video, they seemed kinda thin. Thoughts?
I personally like them a lot. The whole bag has this really comfortable simplicity.
I’d like to ask one question about these bags , Chase. Do they stand, if you put them on the floor?
Putting your water bottle in upside down 😂
An on-body size comparison would be useful here!
great review. does the capacity stack up consistently w GR or EG? ie does the 20L hold similar amounts as a GR1 21? same Q on the 25L vs CTB26. i ask because the bag seems to lack depth vs those others. thanks
I'd say it's wider than both, so similar internal volume in the end. But feels like less material on these trakke bags which for some reason feel roomier to me.
Wish they went with no 10 ykk normal zippers not aqua guard. Especially for the price because those no 10 will last forever but can't say same for those flimsy aquaguard. Also if I want waterproofing i will use a raincover.
300 quid is nuts
What color do you prefer?
How do get how these so called “ travel” bags don’t have luggage pass throughs!?
What is their problem with sternum straps and load lifters? It’s enraging. The bag is so close to being perfect.
Short hair chase...What YEAR IS IT?!
Plastic zips? why? can you not angle a 15" laptop into the 20L?
There are three things that put me off from this backpack, first the laptop compartment, second the price and third no side handles. I already dislike side access laptop compartments but this seems too tight against the zip, and would probably scratch the laptop surface. Is there much padding for the laptop compartment and is it elevated from the bottom?
The price is too high compared to competitors or even importing a backpack from the US to the UK, which would still be cheaper than the £300+ price point. I understand that it's handmade in Scotland, but for the price, you are able to buy backpacks like a Goruck, Minaal, Gomatic, Aer and etc. All for under £300.
I don't think side handles would spoil the design of the backpack. Side handles would be so useful especially when the top handle is that type of material. With that seat belt type material, with heavy loads, it'll cut into your hand. But by adding side handles, it'll help distribute the weight. Alternatively, the top handle needed padding.
Is the branding on the front removable?
Yea, velcro patch
But why is it so pricey? Any reason for that….
Way too pricey!
why is this $450?!
That's one of the most beautiful bags I've ever seen but... Too much money. Can't swing it. Maybe one day!
I laughed way to hard at "runes".
Not cheap. The 25L is £325 in the UK which is £100 more than the Belroy Transit 28L.
Trakke is crazy expensive but they produce some great gear
Came for the Scottish accent and was a little disappointed. Chase you son of a bitch it’s good to see you back my dude.
$425 for the 20 L holy cow
20 litre is $522 US. Really?!!!!!
Huge fail to not be able to put 15inch in a 20L..... like colossal fail.
No dimension on the front section, awkward bottle holders, no load lifters, no hip strap, fiddly looking admin pocket with that useless sling. Front Pocket does seem ok without the sling. Material looks great. Deffs not for me, I can foresee me having many frustrations with a bag like this.
Gonna keep waiting for the Pakt TB v2.
Nice but for that price a Goruck would be better
it would not be. Really not.
@@Dedalus11973 $425 for the small one?
Ready to see this debate unfold.
