    Glad to see we aren't the only ones coping Dylan Joyce on repairs.
    We still got that bologna sandwich if you are still wanting to trade it for that tractor

    There is a JD special tool where you drill them out, tap and install a bigger bolt. I think it is metric.

    Those frame bolts are famous for breaking. @DylanJoyceFarms definitely can help you on those green ones!!

    I know this is off topic for the video, but with your smart firmers taking organic matter, can you write variable N prescriptions for sidedressing from there? What would be cool is if they could calculate N carryover as well.

    • @griggsfarmsllc
      @griggsfarmsllc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is possible but there are so many more factors that go in to N rates than organic matter

      @@griggsfarmsllc Yep, sorry for the loaded question. Just finished sidedressing. I used the 12inch sample data which said I had 16ppm. Then applied about the reccomended rate of 72# plus 30. I don't know... This was the iowa state model. 25-your ppm, then multiply x8.

    would it help if you welded the tops of the bolts together with a small bit of metsl.

    one nice thing about the tube everybody learns those bolts worry me if you have room bore out next bigger size retap use studs gr8 or harder then youre taper nut you can get stud tighter than bolt also watch those frame rails they are wollared out to much im afraid good luuck all trac have weak linkes even masseys my red

    Did you repaint the tractor? Thinking about painting ours and wondering how tough of a job it was.

    With all the hydraulic hoses you have I'm surprised you're not set up to make your own? People can say what the want but a 4440 was a horse and a very dependable tractor with some heart. You found a gem in Andy. Good voice, skilled and articulate and a sense of humor... you are blessed.

      The amount of different fittings I would need would be cost prohibitive. The fittings are the most expensive part.
