I'm born and raised in Georgia one of everyone in my family who is born for 200 years and there are no alligators in Northern Georgia that's only in the Okefenokee swamp which is an extreme South Georgia
The first time that I went to one was in Kentucky. I got the pulled pork. It was good. A shirt, a fountain drink and their beef jerky. It was all good.
I have traveled up and down the eastern US for decades and never heard of Buc-ee's until someone told me about it. Their billboards say nothing about food or gas. I am not sure how so many people found them and I was surprised they are in Kentucky or any of the other states.
So, the truth is, we bought 2 sandwiches, one to take apart for the video and one for the video guy to eat. That sandwich went in the trash. Nobody was killed in this video eating gas station hands. I love Monk, Mr Dog Poop is just as crazy, he buys Clorox wipes by the pallet.
I hear that. These guys would clean up if they added a truck parking lot and truck fueling. Kind of strange that they built it on a major truck route and left out services for trucks.
It is a joke really. Minimum wage was $5 in the early 80's and has only gone up 50% in 40 years while everything else has doubled in price every 10 years. You could buy a Big Mac Meal for around $1, I used to buy 2 at a time. Now they are priced as high as $18 at some locations. That means someone in Georgia would have to work 3 hours to buy one Big Mac Meal and after taxes, they would still be short a buck or two. But we did see Buc-ee's was paying $18/hr which is good news for Georgia.
1st trip - "Wow. This is amazingly big and kinda stupid." 2nd trip - "I'm going to get those things I saw/heard about but missed the first time." 3rd trip - "This is just crowded and I'm wasting 30+ minutes for gas station food." I'll never go a 4th time. Race Trac and Love's are better.
Yup! That about sums it up. We were impressed when we first saw it, then second trip, $13 for a 7-11 burger? Maybe a bit too much, plus gas was 5 cents cheaper across the street at LOVES gas Station. It is like Disney Land, one trip and you are good for a life time. Been there, done that.
Those sliced brisket sandwiches are SOOOO good. I get one every time I go.
How often do you go? You must be a millionaire to afford all of them.
Why is that parking lot empty?
There is two bucees in St Augustine and Daytona Beach but the trip is part of the experience
It was definitely an experience for us on our trip. I assume the two you mentioned are much the same.

Huh
I have one opening in under a month about 10 miles from me here in CO
Star saving your pennies, you will need a lot to shop there. But it was impressive.

I started counting how many times he put his bare “meat hooks” on the video guys sandwich. 🤣 Monk would’ve gone into meltdown mode.

Monk, lol. Love that show! :)
"7-11 food"? How dare you!!!! I usually get the pulled pork...but they're all really, really good.
But they are wrapped up in foil and sealed, how long were they sitting on a shelf before you buy them? Maybe you just got lucky and got fresh ones.
Buc-yes, please 🙏 make a truck stop. We need good food and diesel. Plus, a place to sleep.

Got to toast the bun. Golden rule of bbq.
Would have been better with fresh roll for sure, that was the weak point of the $8.50 sandwich.
In California the gas would have been $180 and that sandwich would have been $22.50!
Mr Dog Poop is never going to send me to California, he is too cheap.
LOL, the minimum wage in Georgia is $7.25 That is what I made as middle school student 45 years ago.
@@mitchhedberg4415 And Buc-ee's starts their employees at something like $18/hr. It's plastered all over the place on their 'now hiring' signs.

“Thats gonna make someone sick”
Camera guy: -_-
He did not get sick, in fact he wanted another one on top of that.
@@mrdogpoopcanfixit oh heck naw 😭
You have done a miss justice to the sandwiches.
What injustice did we do? We ate them, they were just OK. Nothing to sing and dance about.
$12.99! You didnt have to throw it away. This homeless guy would have eaten it.
