Can I use artificial sinew in place of the leather thread? And if so, do you think I will need to split it? Was thinking that maybe artificial sinew is too heavy/thick to sew the vamp and the piping with, and then again to sew the tops and bottoms together. I went on the Bill Worb Furs site and found the exact leather thread you use, but am concerned that it might take a month or longer for me to receive it. A snail-mail letter from B.C. to here (California) takes at least three weeks, usually longer.
Worb Furs does ship worldwide. Where are you located? Most urban centres should have some kind of comparable outfit. Let me know, and I'll look into it.
@@teresagriffin9524 Not sure if you’re still looking, but Wandering Bull is an amazing place to shop online for almost every indigenous craft need and they ship across the US. Excellent service too. 😊 👍

Thank you.
just trying to clarify how much rabbit fur for one pair of moccasins. Is it 30 inches of the 2 inch strips?
Correct!

You CAN, but I find artificial sinew to be a bit of a pain to use. Upholstery thread is a good alternative, and usually available wherever you are!
I was wondering where to get the supplies in the U.S?
