This music is like an inspiration song to me . It makes me think that i can do stuff that everyone can do . I love it how Danny shoes so much inspiración and courageous and determination and cheering up people that their dreams will come true . Everyone can if you work hard and accomplish your goals and reach for the stars . I also love it about Danny tells Sawyer thats she is a natural and dance together and it's soooo romantic and it warms my heart to see them together. Danny & Sawyer 💑💗❤💗❤
This movie had some of the most fluid and expressive animation I've ever seen--and suffered from the worst editing I've ever seen. You can feel the soul of the movie straining against the formula it was shoehorned into while watching. And despite that, it's still amazing. :)
I love it when every time they dance, sing, or Danny inspires them, their color scheme brightens. It's so symbolic. The spark of talent and dreams that live within us all.
vivziepop got some inspiration from this for her animation "timber" seriously look it up! theres at least two same dancemoves! or im just being stupid and missing out the fact, that those moves were popular
this is my favorite scene from any animated movie ever! i just love this scene! its so sad this movie is so underrated, it's one of the best in my opinion.
you know, I was just goofing off on youtube, just looking around at some random Disney/animated movie songs, and I came across songs from this movie, and I'm finding that I love every one of them!! wow! What an underrated movie! I've never really heard of it before, and the music is fantastic!!!
I LOVE this scene. There are few shows today that come close to this level of animation simply with the subtle things. Like how when the character's spirits are lifted and they're reminded of the feelings that make them happy, their color scheme brightens with the environment they're in. Little things like that are no longer seen in today's shows and movies. Everything is so blatantly obvious that its almost token
I love watching cartoons dance XD Also, I have to add that the use of color in this scene is nothing short of amazing. It does so much to tell the story.
Speaking as an animation student, even though Cars is really bad as a movie, the animation is pretty great, like everything Pixar puts out, animation-wise they're always top notch. That aside though, I agree - nostalgia tends to weigh so much for a lot of people, even though there is so much charming and downright indie animation made all over the world. Animation is not just what's in American cinemas, put out by Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks. It's a huge and diverse international industry!
i just watch a classic movie if you are a 1990's kid or adult you would still love this movie it brings some happy times back to me so if you remember the movie Cats Don't Dance you remember the time when movies were actully good and not the bull that people gives us now
That's basically the name of the scene and the song in this scene it's called animal jam. It is a fairly old movie i think it was made in 1996 it is an amazing movie for it's time and even now.
@Catsdontdance3 unfortunatly this has been brushed under the carpet of obscurity (mainly because of the main character), so im not holding by breath for a blu-ray release, but i'd totally buy it. the songs annimation and side characters are the real stars of this movie
I disagree about cars but thank god you spoke. I dream of being animator I am sooooooooooo god damn ssssssick of folks who share my passion just covering their eyes up to everything that wasn't made 10-20 years ago and say god damn it all to hell; they blow off hard working filmmakers and assume that the industry just doesn't care anymore because they find it more appealing to dive head first into a swimming pool of nostalgia and refuse to acknowledge the existence of quality where its due
I havn't seen this since I was a kid! like 12 years ago!! I even had it on VHS but cause it poor quality I never noticed how they brightened up when they caught the music fever!! Thank you for up loading this!!
Just because a movie is animated with computers or puppets doesn't mean there is a lack of effort. If a certain medium is being used to push the limits of what can be done with the medium, or to create a specific style or look, you can see all the devotion and effort that went into every frame and have no problem calling it art. If a medium is being used because it's cheaper, "easier", or faster, you can see the lack of effort right away. Don't bash a whole medium for a few lazy projects.
The way Danny moved was similar to the way Crocker from Fairyly Oddparents moves when he goes crazy over fairies. Usually saying 'FAIRY GOD PARENTS' while doing in.
This movie was one heck of an overlooked gem!
This is a criminally underrated movie. I think it needs a touch up and release.
I think it's great how it is but yes rerelease it
A sequel we need
I've always loved how they got more colorful as they felt more alive.
I didn't notice that as a kid. I love it now.
I love how Danny didn't over do his dancing with Sawyer he just tapped his foot and let her go wild and let loose.
Loved this movie as a kid. The coloring, lighting and animation were just fun to watch. And I loved the villains.
one of the best animations and use of color palettes i have ever seen
4:46 When Darla yells "Max!", he looks frightened. I guess even Max is afraid of Darla Dimple at times. Anyways, I love it when Max dances! :DD
16 years later and I still know every single word to this movie.
It will always be one of my absolute favorites!
I love the use of colours in this song.
never has being invited to tea sounded more creepy.

Anyone else think the turtle was humming "Puttin' on the Ritz"? :)
Sawyer is an amazingly designed character i love her
-You are dreaming Danny...
-Maybe I am
-But so you, just a few minutes ago.
Danny I was in love with you when I has 7 years
Lol
that smile at the end. XD
It's sad when all the new freshman in my animation department in college have no clue about this movie.
Hit that like button for this comment if you think that they should do it as a Broadway/West End Musical!
I got chills thinking about it!! Great idea!!
I want to do it for my school so badly
someoneinthedark Thank you!
Nat Allison yeah I know how it feels
OMG yes! that would be so divine. :)
One of my all time favorite movies
This movie had some of the most fluid and expressive animation I've ever seen--and suffered from the worst editing I've ever seen. You can feel the soul of the movie straining against the formula it was shoehorned into while watching. And despite that, it's still amazing. :)
What sort of editing issues?
zootopia before it was cool nuff said
no really this movie made my childhood and is the reason i love musicals now
I love how they made them all dull and down in the dumps. Then Danny comes along and helps them add their color with their talents.
Poor max he's just trying to have some fun
I love it when every time they dance, sing, or Danny inspires them, their color scheme brightens. It's so symbolic. The spark of talent and dreams that live within us all.
Max dancing at 4:39 was the greatest!
how many damn years did it take me to notice the color thing?
dat color saturation being incorporated though
vivziepop got some inspiration from this for her animation "timber" seriously look it up! theres at least two same dancemoves! or im just being stupid and missing out the fact, that those moves were popular
this is my favorite scene from any animated movie ever! i just love this scene! its so sad this movie is so underrated, it's one of the best in my opinion.
max was doing his thing lol
XDDD
how can you not? I love using a bright neon color to essentially ignite passion in other's hearts!
you know, I was just goofing off on youtube, just looking around at some random Disney/animated movie songs, and I came across songs from this movie, and I'm finding that I love every one of them!! wow! What an underrated movie! I've never really heard of it before, and the music is fantastic!!!
I love what they do with the saturation in this scene. It's brilliant.
Scott Bakula was great in the lead.
I LOVE this scene. There are few shows today that come close to this level of animation simply with the subtle things. I always loved the fact that their saturation got brighter when they started dancing. They truly come alive.
Cats dont dance is one of the most precious movies ever. This is a great scene/song
thanks so much for uploading these! i love this movie and the quality is the best~~
This has to be one of the greatest animated talking animal movies of all time.
I love how all the animals come into brighter color when they start to have fun. :)
Who loves that 1950's style Zoot suit Danny wears.
I love watching cartoons dance XD
Also, I have to add that the use of color in this scene is nothing short of amazing. It does so much to tell the story.
2:47 I love the camel tapping his feet or hooves. I bet that camel is a tap dancer.
i love this movie
This was such an incredible movie. The music is amazing, and the animation type is one of my favorites.
Mark Dindal is an Awesome director This and The Emperor's New Groove are my Favorites in his work
I love how they broaden the colors when they dance.
It's representing how when they were doing what they loved, they became happy!
i like how brightness determines their hope
I totally agree with you.I miss them too. they are best.
it's sad to thinking about they don't use it anymore. it's really sad.
R.I.P. the 90's.
god i love this movie. i love anything old hollywood
2:47
that hideous racket is you talking
(had to say that!)
Max is smiling! :D
lol, the characters getting brighter to represent happiness has all the subtlety of getting struck by a car.
I love love love the use of bright color here.
love this movie and some from the 90s !

i love sawyer's and danny's dancing duet, its love :)
That's basically the name of the scene and the song in this scene it's called animal jam. It is a fairly old movie i think it was made in 1996 it is an amazing movie for it's time and even now.
the original zootopia
@Catsdontdance3

Max and Darla=
Ciel and Sebastian
Holy moly an anime person In Cartoon and omg I didn't really think about it
Darla:" Perfect! How could you possibly improve a face like this."
Me: "Frying pan or skillet."
lat thing he did for hollywood before he died was this. the film is dedicated to him and danny's character is based on him.
Darla is one of my all time favourite villains!
this need to be released on blu-ray
back in the day where animated movies had actually put some ART AND EFFORT in it.
"If we all work together, we can make our dreams come true! Let's show the world what we can do." :)
Danny is such a cutie I think I'm in love 😻😻
Danny: I know he'd appreciate real talent.
Cranston: After nothing but Darla hes gotta be starving for it...
Me: ohhhh, burn!!!
6:34 nightmare fuel. first time i ever said that
Definitely needs a blu-ray release.
Am i the only one that replayed at when she said 'lets invite that cat to teaaaaa'
Nope!! And I love her 'smile'. 😃 🍵🍵 🍪🍪
4:42-4:47
I guess Max was about to break free of Darla's control there for a moment....after all, HE'S an animal too, right?
3:59 My ponytail does that when I get scared.......
Best song in the movie apart from 'Nothin's Gonna Stop Us Now' ^w^
They're equal in amazingness
I disagree about cars but thank god you spoke. Every time I rewatch this movie I cry... It's the only part of my childhood I like.
aw man i remember going out to blockbuster every two weeks and every single time i would rent out this movie, time really does fly....
i love how the boa softly floats on Tilly's shoulders. she is the cutest thing ever.
Darla: "How can you possibly improve a face like this?" I've got a few ideas...
I havn't seen this since I was a kid! like 12 years ago!!
I even had it on VHS but cause it poor quality I never noticed how they brightened up when they caught the music fever!!

"Aw, shut up you old nanny, and show old Franny whatcha got!" HAHA, love it!
"I'm ashamed to be an animal!" xD love that goat

Darla: An audition... hmmm..... MAX! We invite that cat to tea-a-a-a-a-a!!!!
XD
Gotta love that elephant!
Man I allmost watched it in Cartoon Network like 9 years ago, and well, thank you SO VERY mutch. Please upload the full movie
-shivers at the end- Dear Gods, her smile is scary as all hell...
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this scene just warmed my heart.
i like how he said with those long faces then one of the horses said "must be talking about you"
The way Danny moved was similar to the way Crocker from Fairyly Oddparents moves when he goes crazy over fairies. Usually saying 'FAIRY GOD PARENTS' while doing in.
Hang on..... This is in 16x9. The only DVD I could find, and it's in that stupid letter-box aspect ratio. WHAT-THE-FUCK!
I suddenly have the urge to study Danny and Sawyer's dance moves and perform them in a video with the exception of that hat move Danny did.
Max is the best, just look at those moves 4:42
miiiiss dimpooool!! :D
24LionHearts lol
"Look at you with the long long face!" "Hey! He must be talking to you!"
Pretty sure this wonderful "Animal Jam" preceeded your online game by a good number of years...
Yep;
