I didnt even notice that! I was trying to figure out what Obiwan crushed at that point. The fact that Kakashi kept fighting after his eye was crushed is a testimony to his badassery. The fact that ObiWan crushed Kakashis eye to keep him from for seeing his movements right before the attack attests to his badassery as well. Both of these guys are my favorite characters from their respective stories. Either way I was gonna be happy and disappointed.
@@fraydizs7302 My only issue is how they made obi-wan on par with kakashi in terms of hand-to-hand combat. I think we all know kakashi beats obi-wan in hand-hand-combat as well as 1v1 tactical experience. Kakashi in this fight didn't fight like kakashi at all they didn't really showcase his feats or arsenal very well. Hand-to-Hand combat wise obi-qan shouldn't have been able to land a single kick, punch, or counter (when he broke from kakashi's genjutsu and countered his raikiri). Just very inconsistent overall imo and I feel the fight should've been made to showcase not just kakashi but both fighters style of fighting. Obi was very aggressive for his known defensive style and kakashi was way to reckless for his very cautious and tactical style. All in all, when they started bringing legends obito for his scaling I knew it was a wrap for kakashi. It's also non-canon so I feel they should've given kakashi his DMS which is canon. And yes I know Kakashi's DMS is a "helpful feat" but so was obi-wans feat of taking starships down from the solar system and they used that as scaling. Just to many inconsistencies in this death battle

@@nano3226 I think it also gave a reason why they didn't try fixing things themselves too, since there are Sith rituals to drain Force Ghosts, I think. Basically, they weren't invincible and they ran the risk of making things worse if they failed.

KingAce 2000 Death Battle specifically doesn’t like Disney’s new canon so they choose to use to eu as a primary source for research they did it with Luke, Boba Fett, and Vader as well as Obi Wan so it’s not biased in terms of continuity and it’s not like they are super biased towards Star Wars either Boba Fett lost to Samus and Vader lost to Dr. Doom so in terms of them being biased or inconsistent with their research is not true

They also used non-canon feats (legends) for obi and canon for kakashi (very unfair) not to mention obis feat of taking star ships out the solar system wasn’t a solo feat, he had help from several jedi and the council. They didn’t give kakashi DMS because it was considered a “helpful feat”, yet they allow obis helpful feat. They also tried to make reaction speed synonymous with physical speed. The avg human can react at 250ms...that doesn’t mean we can move that fast in terms of x amount of distance physically. Obi-wan and kakashi are relative in speed tbh and I’m still wondering how genjutsu, something far stronger than a jedi mind trick, is easy enough for obi to break in a matter of seconds. I understood why they buffed his feats tho, it was may 4, star wars day...

YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH They did Lowball Kakashi, they threw kakashi's fighting style right out the window and made him perform like he had all brawns and no brains. He's supposed to be a great tactician. Canon Kenobi is not Star Level. Legends is not Canon, so why use non canon feats as well feats that obi-wan had help with? Not to mention the scaling and logic they come up with is just ridiculous. For example, they'll say something like "Obi scales to Vader/Maul, who scales to the Emperor, who scales to Luke, who got that super fast feat in[ insert obscure Legends material], therefore Obi-wan has nano-second reactions" LOL Also, doesn't really matter if they knew it was May4th or not, Death Battle has always favored Comics over Anime so it was honestly expected

Part of these reason why fights like these tend to go sour for fans is because a lot of bets go to the anime character due to anime appearing to have the most bizarre and destructive powers. But a lot of those powers seem to cap whereas western characters like Superman, Obi-Wan, the Hulk, and Aang have nearly limitless power and what we often see is a mere percentage of what they’re truly capable of. They’re underestimated because their most compared feats are drawn from the films and tv series they are in. Other source material such as comics and novelizations are dismissed too easily.
Even most video game characters like Kirby and Mario seem to have no cap because they’re power measurements are something else entirely, almost comparable to Toon Force, taking massive damage and bouncing back like nothing happened.
Anime and manga seems to focus more on how to obtain power through self-fulfillment, whereas comics and cartoons seem to focus more on how power is used.

Just because Kakashi lost doesn't mean anything, you can still love both characters equally. If this wasn't a Death Battle, Obi-Wan would never fight with Kakashi.
Keep in mind, Obi-Wan was powerful, but compared to the Force Users of The Old Republic era, he couldn't have held a candle to them, especially someone like Revan, who mastered the Force in its entirety.
So that should tell you the scope of power differences between Star Wars and Naruto Shippuden

Listen, its true that Legends Kenobi beats Kakashi(even if only by a thread) (Legends is all the comics, the Clone Wars and everything else) but Canon Kenobi (the movies) gets sicked. They had to use Legends since it's like 80% of who he is

Everything in this was actually in the films/shows. Force speed we saw a hint of in TPM (when Obi Wan was still a padawan yet was able to run over 10 miles away within 5 seconds), using the force to block is very simple abilities we've seen multiple force users ues, being able to break out of genjutsu is basic jedi teachings 101, using the force to manipulate the earth is essentially just a mix of force pull/force push (both of which Obi Wan has used), crushing an organ is again easy force techniques. Honestly, nothing Obi Wan did here is insane, what IS insane is a force user able to suck all life off a planet within 5 seconds, force users able to cause every living thing on a planet to become their mind slaves, force users able to split planets apart, force users able to create literal black holes, force users capable of moving continents, the list goes on. Quite literally, everything in this is tame.

For those complaining about them using non-canon Star Wars feats, for one, Legends was canon since the start of the franchise until 2015 when Disney was like “Nah, screw all that.” Stuff like that CGI Clone Wars makes references to the 2003 Clone Wars, and even Darth Revan, previously a Legends-only character, was recently introduced in the Disney canon. Secondly, Legends doesn’t really affect much of anything in regards to the Force. All Legends does in that sense is expand upon the Force’s power. Technically, Obi-Wan should be capable of all the stuff they mentioned, it’s just he doesn’t in Disney canon because reasons

1: why do people keep saying obi-wan crushed kakashis shargian when obi-wan used the force he cursed kakashis right eye which was his normal eye not his shargian his shargian is in his left eye
2: imagine if a 5th ninja war started in boruto and obito came back and his spirit possessed kakashi again and we get to see kakashi use the DMS for the whole war but soon as the war ends then obito has to move on to the next world again but I don't think a 5th ninja war is gonna happen in boruto since black zestu was sealed away during the 4th ninja war

One thing they forgot to mention that Kenobi was as Strong as Master Windu and as Wise and Master Yoda they lead the Jedi and were powerful. Obi wan is very strong. Yet they have their limitations. The Sith are stronger by far due to their abilities. A sith literally would have to move and can crush their limbs in a matter of seconds. They have no limitations cause their code was made to embrace the Dark Power of The Force meanwhile the Jedi use the Light and stick to that side rather then take it all.

He has evidence on Kakashi murdering obi wan. Besides he has to use all sanarios and judge on that, meaning he could use soosano and murder obi. He says it wouldn't make a difference but he is wrong. Obi can't slice though Chakara and the soosano itself. Also he can't beat Kakashi anyway because Chakra is internal and external shone by how they put Chakra in kunai and swords and how they use Chakara as a cloke for example six paths Naruto witch is basically chakra . The force can only lift,push, and pull stuff. Chakra on the other hand can do almost anything. Kakashi is faster, stronger,and can see his next move. The only thing obi wan has going for him is his reaction time. Case and point, my nigga Kakashi is killing obi wan in every way possible not to mention stamina wise as well.
