3:30 This is one of the worst ways to think about addiction. It’s not just flavored air, it’s not just a battery-powered stick, it’s much deeper than that. Many people don’t realize how nicotine works in our bodies and the habit of consuming it, regardless of its form, can rebuild our nerves and receptors. The psychological side of addiction is an area that every addict needs to explore to understand why they got addicted in the first place. So please don’t trivialize addiction in this way. It makes it much more difficult and shameful for those trying to recover and break free from any type of addiction especially nicotine addiction because it doesn't sound as serious as the stronger ones
@@RISETWICE thanks for this I really appreciate this response. I think this was me trying to trivialise for myself - clearly I’m embarrassed of the addition. Hope you don’t think I was being insensitive :)
This couldn't have popped up on my home feed at a better time Liv! I've had a very similar experience to you - it's so nice to hear your story, how you've navigated quitting and the fact that it gets easier and the temptation slowly goes. Today is day 1 for quitting for me - I've just downloaded the app you mentioned!! Wish me luck 🙏
I’ve been also vaping for around 8 years, I’ve tried quitting but it’s always been fault, however now my physical health is on the line and I’m more committed to it now
do you mind sharing with us how did this happen? you're the second person that i've seen commenting about relapsing after a year of being free, which makes me worried about relapsing because i've quit almost 2 month ago and i still have cravings but they're becoming weaker day by day.
Don't think it is embarrassing, it is a victory. You should be proud!
