These two are the reason Lee Mack’s humor works. I’m thrilled about David Mitchell’s life story. He’s a different guy now that he has the wonderful Victoria and their glorious daughter Barbara! Rob Brydon seems happy now too. I’ve grown truly fond of all these guys and wish them all a great tour.
@@BlackOnionMission Oh yes! You’re quite right about that. Lee is brilliant wit and completely great on his own. And what a likable guy. But I do see a special chemistry when he interacts with these two guys on their award-winning show.. Couldn’t imagine a better trio.

I recall Mitchell’s wife Victoria on Task Master where she made it known how much she loved her husband David and respected their marriage. The Task required a marriage scene. That’s amazing. I’m happy for them.
Brilliant! My wife and I are huge fans from Maryland, U.S., and I think we'd watch the three of you simply--attempt to--sit quietly on a park bench for an hour.
I've been re watching Peep Show, again, after a few years, and it's still one of the most outrageously funny shows I've ever seen. I almost choked on my cuppa, laughing. The simple concept of people saying one thing, and thinking another is ingenious.
David is a man I admire so much for his rants as I find myself agreeing with so many of them. My favourite was one he did on one of the Big Fat Quizzes (I think), where he correctly called people trying to get you to dance as bullies. He put into words what I'd been thinking. Having been through that nightmare of avoiding someone at a wedding party because of it, I was fully in agreement with him.
When I saw that it reminded me of a very similar rant Stephen Fry had made on his podcast back in the dawn of podcasts. I remember both well because I also agree. So glad David never gave in!
He said once, also on WILTY 'that level of pedantic-ism is a reason I hate myself' and they resonated with me. He's very much the over thinking man's comedian
Just watching this now 2024 but I have to say Rob and David are my favourites, love Lee too but… Thankyou to all 3 for would I lie to you, my favourite show. 🇦🇺👌🏻💝💝💝
Rob, these interviews are hours too short! As an American, living in New England, I am, sadly, missing out on your tour. All the best to you three - you have added such cheer and laughter to my life.

I am not overstating it to say Peep Show is one of the top 10 television shows of all time. Up there with the Wire and Breaking Bad and everything else.
Ha, even though I agree that Peep Show and The Wire are two of the best TV shows (well, The Wire is the best ever) it seems kind of odd to compare them... they don't have much in common :P
See, I adore Peep Show and liked The Wire, but I forced myself thru the first 2 and just couldn’t stomach the 3rd episode of BB, I found it terrible, never captured me
Yes, I thought that was one of the best ones so far, but was over so quickly. The rapport between Rob and David was ''almost effortless''. As someone else has said a four way with Lee Mack and Bob mortimer involved as well would be a wonderful podcast to listen to and marvel at. If Bob Mortimer was not availbale then Frank Skinner would be an ideal replacement.
I truly wish I could sit in a pub with Rob and David (and any number of Rob's other guests) and sit with them while they chat. The banter is so entertaining and uplifting. I've missed post-theatre gatherings to talk about our work. This is the closest I get! Frankly, these little interviews are the highlight of my day! Being in Austin, I'm obviously not going to be able to attend any of the tour dates, but I do hope I get to see some it online.
Both Rob and David are the sort of people I'm glad exist. My impression is that they are both kind, honest, decent and funny. Could see much more of them and never get fed up.
I just listened to the whole wonderful podcast episode. I wish it could have been longer! At least another 3 or 4 minutes. I think a big part of the reason why Lee Mack’s episode is the most popular is the relationship between you two, the banter, not Lee on his own. People expect the banter to be good, and it always is.
