That Lambo driver was too reckless. Some of his moves only „worked“ because you pulled back and were more reasonable. Great race!

We might be getting radar soon. Feedback forums are flooded with radar requests and more strict safety rating. that would clean up races dramatically.
I had a S rating and some how I dropped to B rating because I was hit and from getting out the track by crashes to me lol
Either way that was a much fun race to watch, than GT7 today, great stuff dude.

I agree 100% on the radar. It's a shame you can lose driver rating playing against AI too, especially when the breaking points are pretty random
I’ve only played a couple of races. Regular GT7 player. I’m stoked to give this game a bit of time playing through. But to get brake checked by AI in the middle of a long straight is like WTF
Loving how you've finally accepted 100k is imminent, it was only a few short videos ago it was "get to 100k in my lifetime" and now it's "get to 100k by the end of 2023". I'm going for early-mid December.
If he keeps up his current growth I think he’ll reach 100k before thanksgiving

I tend to flit between S and A ratings. I find A cleaner than the utter mayhem I seem to get mixed up in on S (whether I want to or not!), which then drops me back in to A again. Here I have a nice clean race or two, before getting promoted again...

It is improved, but the penalty system still needs work in my opinion. Still too much dirty driving in S lobbies. Maybe because I don’t have the highest skill rating 😂.

The Lambo was a real sportsman. Said "Sorry" and "Good Race" on several occasions with you and ras racing really clean! The 2 switches on the last truns of lap 3 were sooo nice.
what? 😂the lambo raced like a clown and was way too aggressive and could've caused a crash there, he just seemed mad to be overtaken so he'd fight way too hard to gain it back
is it me or the multiplayer replay saving function does not work?
I only get replays with cars on the initial grid, stuck...

Rory, glad to see you finally had a good, relatively clean race with a good battle to the end. Those seem few and far between in this latest incarnation of Forza Motorsports.
I do need to take issue with the claim that they have "fixed" it and your implication that they no longer just chuck you into a lobby without considering safety rating.
I ask you these questions honestly: other than having one decent race where you seemed to be spared the typical rammers, what quantitative data are you referencing to illustrate that the matching logic has actually improved?
Consider:
- You can never see any driver's SR or DR in the Driver's List, (including your own) so how can you validate that the drivers in your split were actually the closest to you based on DR and SR?
- When were you placed into your split? (When did you join the lobby?). When did all the other drivers join the lobby, and why were they not put into your split if they had closer SR and DR to you?
Here's the biggest issue that I have yet to hear any reviewer address: if the splits are not created AFTER the registration is closed and all drivers are accounted for with their DR and SR, then this is not actually a proper ranking system.
First-come-first-serve is not the way to build splits, if you're trying to promote a ranking system. Look at how GT7 and iRacing does this. Both of those games/sims ensure that the splits are not created until they can be made to fully place all drivers in the correct order.
So, why does Forza not show SR and DR in the Driver's list? Because then it would be obvious that the splits are still first-come-first serve and that they have created a meaningless ranking system that is not properly implemented into the process of creating fair splits.
You had a good race. Great. You also got a lucky split.
You can't claim that Forza "fixed" this if you cannot refer to numbers and evidence that back it up. One good race doesn't cut it.
I'd love to see reviewers properly address this issue.
I raced one online race & decided my online rating wasn't worth getting destroyed so I'm just playing single player until they truly fix not just the ranking stuff but the penalties.

The fact that you have to use a "small drift" in each corner to be faster takes all the fun out of playing this game competitively. It is very arcade for those who like SIMRACE games.
Definitely agree here. Even watching it happen was annoying me because I don’t recall seeing cars actually race like that in IMSA races. People might be trying to bolster their “for a is better than gt7” hat but, I still think GT7 is the better game, physics wise and feels less cheatsy or whatever you want to call it. While sure great to help you in the game it kinda spoils it when it doesn’t seem “real” when it’s supposed to be a simcade.
This is so much more fun to play and watch than GT7. It feels amazing. Now we need bugs fixed and more content!

It's definitely getting better. I'd definitely advise anyone to go into the vehicle tune and adjust the brake bias from 50/50 to 65 ish on the front and I up the pressure to 104 percent

Not sure if this is intentional, but the smoothness and gentle body roll effects makes it seem like it’s not track suspension. Like maybe these cars just left the dealership and went straight to the track with no setup lol.

Anybody see the new feature where it kicks constant dirty drivers? Was in a C class race today, and top 3 in front of me were racing very dirty, and all three just vanished in front of me lol.
S Rated driver here and it certainly doesn't feel like they've sorted it to me, I'd say the majority of races still feel like I'm playing Wreckfest with the odd few good ones thrown in like this race. Loving the game but I think the Safety Rating needs to be a lot more strict if the lobbies are based on it.

Today was pretty bad with bugs actually. Alot of people including myself got the loading screen when trying to change tyres and fuel before the race starts after qualifying... And after a race the game was crashing quite often.. the replays don't work for me still which is a bummer because I had a few great races I wanted to save some moments of.. and there is that crazy visual bug that makes cars smoke up the whole track Infront of ya so you can't see anything which is strange
M8 the curbs here are killers, nice race thou, i love the viper in GT racing. But the phrase is UNLIMITED POWER, search your feelings, you know its true !!!
They desperately need to fix whatever bugs are causing crashing/freezing in multiplayer on XBox. Nothing is more infuriating than spending the time and energy in practice, then qualifying, only for the game to crash or freeze while the race loads. It happens like 75% of the time lately.

One race last night, started on 3rd spot on maple valley but punted to last on the first corner. Fixed 🤔 😂
My 7 year old son:
“Is this game like call of duty?”

Son: “Where a different company makes each game.”- “Like one company makes Forza Motorsport, and one company Makes Forza horizon?”
Me: “I’m really not sure, but I bet you’re right.”
Son: “The people who make Horizon did a better job. “

A seven year old can see the shortcomings this game has brought us. But I am very hopeful.
Nah I disagree with the radar, okay yeah it does make it easier, but then at the same time it makes it so players aren’t practicing real spatial awareness skills, I think a guy with good spatial awareness will always beat a guy who don’t and that’s how it should be

No fr, this race looked so clean, so tight, so honest and so ... ahm... competitive. Never thought I'd say that about the Forza open multiplayer.
Nothing in patch notes regarding safety rating vs skill rating fixes. It isn't fixed Rory, you're just that damn good. The rest of us suffer

It’s solid but it’s not great. The career infinite loading screen problem is not fixed.
It is ONLY fixed for the intro cup which does absolutely nothing for 99.9% of player base go read the patch notes.
It only says that the infinite loading screen save issue is only fixed for the builders cup intro.
I’m gonna take my chances and continue the career because I haven’t had that glitch happen to me yet but I think it’s because I have never used the quick upgrade system, I’m not really sure what to believe at this point in regards to it.
Wow, these proximity arrows seem absolutely useless. When it is completely filled, you either have the space to sweep in front of your opponent, or he is too far up, and you end up hitting him. Is there a way to tell the difference that im missing?
You've got to be a Turn10 dev. Try playing the single player stuff. It's anything but fixed! Can't even upgrade your car without the game crashing.

Hey seems like your shifts a little slow if you arent run manual with clutch you csn still shift without clutch but its faster up and down shifts

The main issue is connection issues,and the game randomly crashing.
Lost time watching for penalties, lost 2nd not watching penalties. Viper had some great lines through the middle section, worth learning from.
Doesn't look all that bad to me, people have been carrying on saying that it's trash, it does have a distinctiveness like Assetto Corsa but I think I would give it a crack

Gg man. I still have a weird lag at the start of each multiplayer game. Practise and quali goes without lag, but then when I start the multiplayer race, it lags realllllly bad for like 5 seconds. Then I am at the back and can race again without issues. Anyone else got this? Im on pc with Ryzen 9 and 3080. Can you maybe show all your graphics settings? And do you play 30 or 60 fps?
