According to the biography of Asma the older sister; Aysha was 10 years younger than Asma.
And at the time of Hijri Asma born in 595 AD, was 27 years old . The prophet married Aysha 2 years after hijri which makes her 19 years old. (27-10+2=19)
    Asma born - 595 AD
    Aysha born - 605 AD
    Hijrah - 622 AD
Marriage to the prophet - 624 AD

AsSalama'laikum dear brother! JazakAllahkhair for this answer! This concept always disturbed me (especially as a father with a daughter😓). It's one of the foremost concepts that many people try to attack this dean! Thanks for clearing it up!

Thank you very much for addressing this very important topic. May Allah give you best rewards for spreading awareness and clarifying this misconception which is used by kufar to disrespect our beloved Prophet Mohamad ( peace be upon him).
Many many thanks. May Allah bless you. Ameen

Also, just to add to this, if a person were to marry and have sex with a 9 year old, and she were to become pregnant as a result, she could die due to birth complications such as a hole in her birth canal or fistula. A girl of that age is not ready for sex, and what happens during the night of marriage? Consummation. Islam does not allow harm to innocence, and a child is not ready physically or psychologically for sex or marriage at the age of 9. This needs to be questioned by all Ulema around the world since enemies of Islam like to propagate this to the world to compel others to think Islam is evil. Salam.

She was already engaged to be married to someone also so she was not 6 or 9. Also the quraish threw all sorts of accusations against him but never said his wife was a child

Absolutely magnificent, well impressed with your scholarship, referencing and style of delivery. You should start taking pledges of allegiance and guide to structured learning, particularly for those new to practice and continue engaging in dialogue with supposed scholars from other walks in the UK and protect the people from turning into sheeple. Tabari has reported that,
In the 5th year of Prophet Hood (615)
Abu Bakr , the father of Aisha before migrating to Ethiopia with a group of persecuted Muslims seeking Asylum,
Abu Bakr went to Mut`am - with whose son Aisha (ra) was engaged to
Abu Bakr asked him to take Aisha (ra) in his house as his son's wife.
Mut`am refused, because Abu Bakr had embraced Islam, and subsequently his son broke off the engagement with Aisha (ra).
This report shows clearly that Aisha was of at least 9 years age in 615,
Which would make Aisha’s age 18/19 at the time of Marriage in 624

I am impressed by this presentation - especially AFTER knowing that the speaker was schooled at very traditional places in Pakistan and elsewhere, and that he passed all those rote-memory based traditional exams with distinction. Had I not read the topic underneath (thankfully), I would have never listened to him beyond he finished his accolades and scholastic background. More often than not, that kind of background is a big turn-off for me because those graduates make homogeneous copy-paste group and usually - in my humble opinion - do not make great thinkers in Islam, barring few exceptions (like this speaker I guess)
Needless to say, I will be waiting for his future exposes.

Whether the reports of her being 6 at the time of her marriage and 9 at her consummation are wrong, weak, challenged by other narrations where she is older and so on is really secondary or even tertiary. The issue here is whether it is possible to get the larger Muslim communities all over the world to accept that marrying children as young as 6 or 9 is illegal and not acceptable, morally and ethically. That this has to stop entirely and society has to come out clean and clear that this is to be discontinued and taken out of society henceforth on the basis of it no longer being within morally and ethically acceptable social norms.
So far, more than enough Muslims and their representatives believe that it is legal and morally and ethically acceptable in their social norms and culture to marry children to adults. As long as this continues, they will not improve as a society and will not be able to avoid vilification and suspicion.

Ma sha Allah. One of the most realdeal Muftis in the world. I pray that Allah SWT makes him more famous than many Muslim Shiekh Celebrities out there due to his realtalk.
As for rejecting Hadith based on 'reason' for common people, I agree with Mufti that it should all go back to asking scholars, because I used to REJECT the apostate hadith because it's against the mind and the message of Allah - especially when many Sheikhs say that this Hadith is the way to go.
HOWEVER, what happens next is I heard a lecture by Sheikh Al-Buti (rahmahuAllah) that he says the apostate hadith is talking about someone who goes public in the country, not only fighting Islam and calling people to kuffr, BUT HE ALSO STARTS ASKING AND MAKING PEOPLE GO AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT - AS TO WAGE CIVIL WAR.
I mean in what country today wouldn't such a person get life in prison or freakin shot straight by the US/British police for being traitor?
    Jzak Allah khair ya Mufteena

People in India and Pakistan will never accept him as a scholar based on his appearance, 99% of the people from sub Indian will disallow him to lead the prayers just based on his facials, just comes down to how they’ve been shown Islam as, I’d call it ignorance for layman and arrogance for the learned

The Hadeeth is not a Holy Scripture like the Qur'an. And should seriously be analysed. The Hadeeth should be re evaluated, part by part for it's relevancy in society now, it's authentication and remove contradiction

Fatimah (ra) was born at the time the Kaa`bah was being rebuilt in 665,
when the Prophet (pbuh) was 35 years old,
According to Ibn Hajar, Fatimah (ra) was five years older than Aisha (ra). Fatimah (ra) is reported to have been born when the Prophet (pbuh) was 35 years old. in 665,
Which means Aisha must have been born in 670, making Aisha around 14 years old at the time of her marriage in 624.

Fatwas are opinions anyway, no matter from whom. I think today's average individual in their right mind, can differentiate between good and bad. The general consensus that the slavery is allowed in Islam at all times but it died its own death as the time passed so it is disallowed today is untenable. If it is in the Qur'an, then it is permissible at all times. Today, our scholars try hard to explain away the unpalatable philosophy and legality of slavery and concubinage in Islam, and try to take the apologetic approach. The Qur'an, however, the Word of the All-Knowing, and therefore, is applicable for all times to come. So, my take is that we need to research hard into the Qur'an (yes, the Qur'an, NOT the Hadith because I really see no authority for the Hadith folklore in the Qur'an anywhere) and learn to differentiate between the phrase "milk al-yameen”, or the familiar "ma malakat aymanukum" (whom your 'right hands possess') as used in the Qur'an, and the word "imaa" (plural of 'ama', the servant maid) as also used in the Qur'an. Engaging in the buying and selling slave trade by the believers is not mentioned ANYWHERE in the Qur'an (although it could be allowable if done for altruistic purposes, like for manumitting them). As far as the Qur'an is concerned, the only source of "milk al-yameen' is through wars and this phrase seems to refer to a certain specific class. Obviously, a "master" cannot FORCE sex upon the slave girl if she happens to dislike or hate it because any kind of compulsion violates the Qur'an in all matters of the deen. In my opinion (whatever it is worth), the verse 47:4 has baneed slavery of the POW type for all times because there are only two options for the victor -either ransom, or free them out of good will. No third option.
