He already has destroyed the economy and has isolated Egypt with nations that have zero regard to have honest and true relationship with Egyptian people. Greece/Egypt have cooperation together but that only exists because both of them are against Turkey. No problems.
The army is productive for its own economy, so buildings, farms.. Etc that produces for the army itself is not paid for.
For example army farms are giving products for the army soldier to eat at their unit, so it's all duty oriented.
If a soldier is very skillful a something, he can get offered to work as a civilian after the duty service is finished.
If any case of a commander using a soldier's skill out of the boundaries of the duty service.the soldier can go directly to a certain military instituation that handles the affairs of personnel, and if a complain reaches that institution, it will not be nice for the corrupt personnel.. Really.. Not nice.,... However, such a misuse of authority is very rare to happen and doesn't slip easily.
In the past years army products were sold to the civilians to counter the monopoly in the civilian market, especially that the government was taking some very tough decisions to heal the economy, so the army products had to be present at actual cost prices so it can help the people.
Later the government started making every government organization or country's major sector to have an independent financial planning to maximize revenue and compete to develop.
Then we could see army products, police products, and many other products coming independently from each ministry according to what each ministry could operate on, but in such products the labor are civilians and get paid with normal wages.
In short... Egyptian army doesn't use free labor... Labor inside the army is for the army itself, not for civilians, and that is needed in the army, so the army can control everything in case of wars or defense in general.
I hope this brief explanation gives you an insight to the actual situation.
And one last thing... Any news in the world is serving an agenda... So listen to the news that is backed with official statements, don't listen to opinions... Be careful with news because it's not a game

Egypt's economy is roughly similar to that of Bangladesh in 2020, in terms of nominal GDP. And BD never had/have anywhere near the natural resources as Egypt, or being the reputation as the most powerful regional state. Or the huge tourism industry. BD was a complete basketcase. Asians generally know how to make something from nothing. Look at Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, PRC, Thailand, Philipines, and BD. Arabs, I'm sorry to say, knows how to make nothing from something. Unless you're a petrodollar state run by ex-pats, as the UAE/Qatar. Here are some stats for perspectives...
    LIteracy Rate (1990s) Egypt=55%, Bangladesh=35%.
Literacy Rate (2020) Egypt=72%, Bangladesh=74%. Bangladesh's literacy rate increased to over 111%, while Egypt increased just by 30%.
GDP nominal in billion USD (2010) Egypt=$218, Bangladesh $115
GDP nominal in billion USD (2020) Egypt=$355, Bangladesh $348. That's 202% increase for BD, and 62% for Egypt. At the current rate of growth, even after COVID, BD will overtake Egypt fairly soon. It'll even overtake Malaysia in 3-4 years.
In 2020, 45% of Egyptians have access to the internet, while Bangladesh has 62%. This may seem like an arbitrary parameter to you, but it'll play a HUGE role in the growth of the economy. And so is Bangladesh's success in introducing IT education to the school curriculum. It means a much higher % of youth in BD are better prepared for IT-related jobs than in Egypt, making them better prepared for modern industries.
Access to education for poorer people in BD is MUCH higher than in Egypt, especially for Females. And so are working rights for women and economic power overall. These kinda factors have more impact on the longterm success/failure of nations, rather than how many fighter jets you've purchased from France and Russia.

Tourists regularly disappear and no-one asks questions or give replies.
      The Italian government have for years attempted to un-cover the full truth about the kidnapping, torture, homosexual rape and murder of a young Italian student, Giulio Regeni, by four high ranking members of the Egyptian army. The charges arrived at, after extensive attempts to discover the truth, in the face of total non-co-operation by the Egyptian authorities resulted in the following limited charges, being brought in an Italian court;
"General Tariq Sabir, Colonel Usham Helmi and Colonel Athar Kamel Mohamed Ibrahim face kidnapping charges, while Major Magdi Ibrahim Abdelal Sharif is also accused of causing “grievous body harm” and “aggravated murder”.

We in Pakistan also supported Mohamed Morsi was the democratically elected President of Egypt until overthrown in coup d'état and later murdered. US supplied 200 F-16 to Egypt without long range air-to-air missiles since it could be threat to Israel and these F-16s are useless fighting another modern airforce. Pakistan's F-16 have these long range air-to-air missiles and we shot down two Indian airforce fighters in March 2019. Nobody sells any weapons to Egypt that can be a threat to Israel.

Everyone one commenting this and that , I will say that we as Moslems know that our beloved prophet said” about the currency of Egypt which equals to economy will collapse and is in the list of coming soon”. That’s it......... us humans don’t see all this calamity and corrupted people ruling is the greatest sign of the end of the time. Seek refuge in Allah o you poor to rich ask forgiveness before the last sign/hour strikes us. I cry and fear for all of us imagining the day we face Almighty under the hot boiling sun that will be upon us in the day of judgment. Open your eyes Dictators and rich corrupt corporates come to your senses, accept the sin and ask for forgiveness before it’s too late. Enough is enough all are suffering at least try to listen your people and stop building castles of the devils to dwell in because they believe in living forever which is not true. (I am not an Egyptian but an average muslim brother) Allah bless all hearts with goodness and in remembrance of Allah the most kind. Thank you 😊

Erdogan is running the Turkish economy the same. Seriously, he should look himself in the mirror before complaining that foreign powers are trying to undermine him.
As far as I am concerned, Egypt is still the fastest growing economy in the region, doubling the rate of Israel and far above the likes of Jordan, Algeria and Lebanon. Egypt is also becoming increasingly popular to foreign investors now that terrorist attacks have been reduced (though nowhere near eradicated).

And people are not imprisoned for anything, there are various political parties, the religious are not systematically put in prison ... Perhaps the army has a certain power but it is not absolute . Since 2018 the IK Govt has continued to fight against corruption and the corrupt (a real cancer in all Muslim countries ...) to get the country out of a very difficult previous situation ... Unfortunately this year with the pandemic , natural disasters, locusts that have crushed the crops ... the economies of these countries will suffer ... There is much to say. ... but one cannot say that PK and Egypt are the same.

When you are actually educated and you look at facts and statistics unlike I assume most of this channels viewers, you realise how desperate turkey is as a nation. It can't even be compared to Egypts success. Egypts economy has been substantially growing every year, while the turkish economy is crumbling. Perhaps you should make a video and say " Erdogan leading an already garbage nation down the gutter" that would be far more accurate and factual.

The military backing of the Egyptian administration has been instrumental. In 6 years the country's reforms are solid and visible in most governorates through education, healthcare, security, transportation, food and exports.
According to the World Bank’s latest Macro Poverty Outlook, Egypt’s growth in Fiscal Year 2018-2019 increased to 5.6% (up from 5.3% the previous year), a rate that was sustained through the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2019-2020. Growth was driven by a macroeconomic stabilization program that was largely successful, generating a solid primary budget surplus, reducing the debt-to-GDP ratio, and replenishing reserves. Additionally, the wholesale, retail trade, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors contributed to the increase in growth.
