Last time I saw a note like this, several people could not understand the double negative. I will always miss Norm too. I'm so happy he left so much good material on the net for us to enjoy. I watch some Norm every week.
Back in the 90s I saw both Andrew Dice Clay and Richard Pryor on the same night at the Comedy Store in Hollywood. One of the most memorable evenings of my life. I've never laughed so much in one evening ever. Years later Stanhope came a close second.
I LOVE NORM!!! I can say I ran to see "Dirty Work" in theaters when it came out. I will never not laugh at Norm, no matter how many times I see these clips. ❤😂
The phone bit was the idea of the show. He thought it would be funny to have his phone ring in the middle of the show and answer it like "hey. Im on live TV". Instead he let it ring and when the hosts said something he called out the producer. 😅
This is the best thing about you and your channel. You love Norm almost as much as I do….ok, maybe more….but to put him over Dice dropping the F bomb like half a dozen times on air on CNN just shows your bias, justified as it certainly is, for the greatest comic mind to ever grace the stage……a man went by the name of Norm MacDonald! I miss the holy shit out of him.
Man, awesome examples here! 😅 That segment on Joe Buck's show with Artie, Sudeikis and Rudd is *legendary.* Even watching it on TH-cam makes me uncomfortable, and I'm a total prick. 🤣
@@TheComedyHistorian Good on ya. They wouldn’t let him do live television, except for a 30second delay on the broadcast... coz they were concerned he would go unleashed... maybe he didn’t even have a live tv moment because of that... details are hazy, been so long since I watched his (life story) documentary.
Wait, what? It's offensive to say Clinton ended a guy? Ohhh. I see the problem, "guys." The problem was he said guy and not guys. Or. People. Wasn't all dudes.
That wasn't Norm's phone ringing. The ringing sound was coming through the speakers in the studio. It was a bit set up before he went on, with an over-eager producer. He explains later he didn't even want to do the bit, the producer forced it on him.
Bill Burr didn't go too far here. Philly would've been a good example for him. You could add Russell Brand GQ award show appearance. Artie on Joe Buck was classic. Thst was definitely a good choice. You could have Greg Giraldo or Jeff Ross in there. You could have Don Rickles. Chris Rock could get honorable mention for throwing shada at Jada. Micheal Richards would be one. I could probably keep going. Nobody beat Norm Macdonald. You could have a liat of top 10 that would be all Norm. As a nerd, I would call him "Three Standard Deviations Above the" Norm Macdonald. Thank you for the video.
Well to me Bill Burr didn’t go far enough haha, not a big Philly fan I’m just being silly. There’s gonna be more videos like this, many more parts to come. I just wanted to experiment with a new video format. I’m glad you enjoyed it though msn
In my opinion, it’s virtually impossible for a comedian to “go too far”. The only one I can think of as actually going too far is Michael Richards aka Kramer in his infamous N-word rant.
I only clicked on this to say that comedians can't go too far. What's funny is funny, and if you're offended, you're the joke, and comedy is not for you. Edit: Ok. I see what you did there. You listed some cool shit and just named it after what Bill Burr said. My bad
@@TheComedyHistorian I did man, thank you. I loved Norm quite a bit, all those other guys too. Artie Lang could be a little much, but he was cool too before Stern went full authoritarian.
Norm wins this hands down. I’m not sure of the time line but l assume it was after he hosted the White House correspondence dinner. Either way it was hilarious 😂😂😂
I will never not miss Norm MacDonald.
You and me both brother
Last time I saw a note like this, several people could not understand the double negative. I will always miss Norm too. I'm so happy he left so much good material on the net for us to enjoy. I watch some Norm every week.
Norm Macdonald is my all-time favorite comedian, but Ricky Gervaise's Golden Globe material was the best of this group.
I’m probably gonna make a whole video on that because there’s so much to unpack from it
Gervais's golden globe trashing Hollywood to their face has got to be my favorite. Extra funny because they are right in front of him and it is true!!
Loved that Golden Globes monologue
@TheComedyHistorian For your part 2, check out Gilbert Godfreys' "The Aristocrats" joke. It's probably a bit too far!
Artie Lang lived longer than Norm. Nobody would have ever guessed that.
For real 😂
Or so the Germans would have us believe.
Ah, Normie! We miss you so much!
Truly ❤️
You mean didn't go too far, but the drones threw tantrums.
Yeah that’s fair
This reminds me of that tragedy that happened to Norm
The one where all the stories came crashing down?
@@TheComedyHistorian wtf?
I didn't even know he was sick
The joke about Tony Romo at 5:11 killed me 🤣
Artie’s funny af
The heart and wit of Norm is sorely missed to this day
Truly

Any countdown with the old chunk of coal as #1 is totally legit....thanks for constantly reminding people who the real king of comedy was 💪😁
You got it Virgil, thanks for watching brother. You’re the man ❤️
louis ck asking rumsfeld if hes a lizard is absolutely number 1
That’s a great interview lol
They norm guy is going places

He’s my favorite, that’s so cool you got to see Dirty work in theaters haha. I love him too
@TheComedyHistorian I sure did!! I was a big fan of Howard Stern back in the day, and I remember Norm coming in to promote it. 🤣🤣🤣 Hilarious.
Never a miss with this channel. Your killing it man
Trying my best brother, more to come ❤️
Apparently a producer had given norm the phone and tried to make a bit out of it which norm proceeded to then piss on.
Norm ! 😂😂xx
The phone bit was the idea of the show. He thought it would be funny to have his phone ring in the middle of the show and answer it like "hey. Im on live TV". Instead he let it ring and when the hosts said something he called out the producer. 😅
What, no Michael Richards at The Laugh Factory?

Hey, your edit style look kinda comicy, nice not much people do that anymore.
I'm gonna try it it's fun
Thanks brother glad you enjoyed it!
I did it th-cam.com/video/2jvtkT-uBSo/w-d-xo.html
Took me 3 hours
Norm will always be the best.
Truly
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Joe Buck does not own a doghouse.
I wish comedians played characters IRL more often. It can be hilarious
Dude for real. I actually think the Dice character itself is funny af
I swear, comedians have never been more leashed.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Bill Burr and that morning show, I wish he woulda dropped the line about how the Catholic church was the only business that could survive a pedo ring.
Would’ve been legendary
More like 5 comedians to based for tv 😂
Man, awesome examples here! 😅
That segment on Joe Buck's show with Artie, Sudeikis and Rudd is *legendary.* Even watching it on TH-cam makes me uncomfortable, and I'm a total prick. 🤣
It’s totally gonna get its own video at some point, it truly was a spectacle to see on TV haha
@@TheComedyHistorian Yeah, I love Artie. He's a genuinely good guy who beats himself up. Kind of a bummer, to be honest.
@@TheComedyHistorian You find that Anthony Jeselnik "Dane Cook" joke?
Norm was telling the truth
You're right... he was in fact a deeply, deeply closeted homosexual
Ricky didn’t go far enough. 🤣
It worked for Norm because he often presented himself as being like an unruly, boisterous child.
Norm taking his time...
Than that phone call.
Above and beyond.
I think my personal top 10 would be all Norm.
I'm biased that way.
yall should check out doug stanhope. a comedians comedian, the TV won't even televise him lol
I’m gonna make a great mini-documentary on him. I love Doug
Richard Pryor changed live television with what he said or did... I forget what it was, but the fact you didn’t cite Pryor is a big miss.
I can include Richie in part 2
@@TheComedyHistorian Good on ya. Love you Norm
Two words: Michael Richards.
Two more: was correct.
It was a matter of record
Too far? Why do people hold comedians to higher standard than their elected officials?
Normie!!!!!
Ricky didn't go far enough
vince champ
Worst gimmick a comdeian ever had!!!
Kramer!!!! Yikes
Wait, what? It's offensive to say Clinton ended a guy? Ohhh. I see the problem, "guys." The problem was he said guy and not guys. Or. People. Wasn't all dudes.
Is stating facts really going too far though?
Why were all the Hollyweird people uncomfortable about Epstein?
These are all tremendous. Maybe i've seen Normy's too often, but Billy repeatedly saying, "I know: it's a morning show," is so funny. Good comp, Nate!
Thank you Todd! Glad you enjoyed the video man

No such thing as to far in comedy. Clickbait. And made by someone fresh out puberty. IE: They don’t know anything about anything.
Norm wins this hands down. I’m not sure of the time line but l assume it was after he hosted the White House correspondence dinner. Either way it was hilarious 😂😂😂
Yet, Ricky Gervais has been the most watched Golden Globe presenter ever!
No such thing as too far when it comes to jokes.
Ricky was never wrong
