ngl im glad we got 20 min episodes back so we could get those more slice of life moments where the ninja hang out thank you for bringing to light some more positive aspects of the show and reminding us why we watch, to enjoy it, to have some fun
What hurt the most for me personally was Jay’s fate in the new seasons. He was my favourite ninja growing up and they made him go from a nervous guy with funny jokes, but also smart and really useful to the team to a full blown comic relief who does absolutely NOTHING to contribute to the plot, except being Nya’s boyfriend.
I love the Filler Episodes They're fun, unique shine light on side characters like Nelson or P.I.X.A.L rather than the 6 main ninja and they work a lot better in the 11 minute format than normal episodes do
their main problem is that they don't push the plot forward, but rather the story stops in the middle so that we get an episode that focuses on a side character without anything else. they should've been like s2's
@@JolivoHY9not really they all push the plot forward in some way the paper kids ep is how wu learned the ninjas were in the pyramid so pixal could save them the news one introduces the scroll and is why the ninja and aspheera are going to the museum kaiju protocol for all its faults not only resolved wu's gripes about the ninja leaving but also set up how the tea leaves were never gonna be enough to get them to the never realm the only real filler ep in the season is the absolute worst but that gets a pass cuz it introduced fuji dove
@@monerb7185 the only one that really pushes the plot a little bit is snaketastrophy. and all we knew was that aspheera was looking for some scroll that could've been said in one line the next episode. no need to make an entire filler episode for that, and even in it we didn't really knew what scroll, just 'some' scroll the problem with the news never sleeps is that they did nothing the whole episode until the very end and just to inform wu while they've could tell pixal when she was fighting the snakes, like scream or something. the kaiju protocol has nothing, we already know that travels tea doesn't work, and even sorla said it in the last episode, so what's the point of that episode? and we already had a lot of moment showing how wu feeling useless without that episodes also fugi dove could've been introduced just like the mechanic in s6. just wasted screentime
@@JolivoHY9 no her entire motivation changed from looking for the deceiver to looking for the scroll we kind of needed to see that happening and again the ninja were also informed of where she was going and them beating her there is important to the plot kaiju protocol is the whole reason why wu and the ninja are back to normal terms next season and reestablishing the tea thing is important instead of getting only 2 lines about it in the whole season they cant exactly go back to introduce fuji dove in s6 so i dont even know what your point there is
@@monerb7185 no lol her entire motivation was still looking for the scroll in the very next episode. we needed to NOT see snaketastrophy how kaiju protocol is the reason lmao?? bro wu didn't even mention it in s13 when he was talking about how useless he was bro, i said the mechanic was introduced in s6 so they should've introduced fugi dove that way. i didn't say they should've introduce him in s6 lmao?
1. great video 2. wu's plan was to run away from his problems and stay there forever 3. they did say how Zane was the Ice emporer for 60 years (all be it. it wasn't clear enough) "Time must work differently here" Lloyd
OML thank you so much i have been defending Aspheera for years and i really do see her as a great and fun villain with a funny fool running around her(char) im glad we got her back in crystalized but i started to notie that eversince she returned in Crystalized more and more people strated changing opinions on her overall great review another banger of a video from our favorite youtuber hope to see more like this in the future
A satisfying reason for the teams made of reason would be that Asphera wanted Zane to be alone for 60 years in the past the way she was imprisoned and left to rot
Extremely over-hated season. The first few episodes may be a bit slow, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel alot of the hate comes from people with nostalgia bias who simply hate the new designs and animation
My least favorite thing about this season is how mean-spirited the banter got. I don't like seeing these characters insult each other regularly, especially not this far in.
I personally thought season 11 (aka Fire Chapter and Ice Chapter) was alright. Yeah sure I do agree with most people, it’s not as good as other seasons that came out before or even after (like say Seabound for example) however there were some good things about it.
Wu’s plan makes sense if you view it as a suicide attempt. Wu didn’t really think that Zane was still alive so he was trying to kill himself the same way he got one of his pupils killed.
Personally, I'd argue that Crystallized did more damage. Mainly because it was meant to be the final season and didn't really do a good job reflecting on the past of Ninjago as a franchise. I'm sure people(not me) enjoy Dragons Rising, but it's kinda crazy how hated Crystallized ended up being.
You said it perfectly. Crystallized had the chance to make it a Kai season, considering how that would play into Nya's disappearance as well as ending the show with the character that started the show. But no, instead with get a Lloyd season when Harumi returns, Garmadon returns, the Overlord returns, the Ninja lose their powers, and the Ninja go to jail AGAIN. Not to mention the fact that they brought back villains who had a perfect end to them, especially Harumi and Garmadon. This season just feels like they took some of the old tropes of ninjago, and threw them together while also giving Lloyd anger management issues. They also missed the chance to kill off Wu. Don't get me wrong, I love Wu. But that would've done made the story so much more impactful and overall, emotional and good. Season 11 is over hated fr.
The year was 2021, and it had been a while since I last watched Ninjago. I hadn’t even seen season 10 March of the Oni yet. Me and my younger brothers turn on Netflix and saw this new Ninjago show. I couldn’t even get through Wasted True Potential without turning it off because I hated it so bad. Later that year we went to Orlando and mom had to go and get dad for something. They were going to be gone for a couple hours and we were in a Verbo board. So I tried again. I’m telling you it’s rare for me to laugh as hard as I did that evening. I love Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitsu.
I didn't watch the season before this one until AFTER I watched this season... So to hear that people didn't like it is baffling to me. I for one thought that the animation and even the _writing_ were huge improvements from earlier seasons. I grew up with the ORIGINAL first few seasons... So yeah, I guess people forgot that it used to be even goofier.
What a joke, season 10 far better than that crap. Sure it was short and had a few other issues, but these problems are not even close to the problems season 11 has.
IDK man, I thought S10 was pretty good. Not the best, but still a decent season worth rewatching every once in a while. But I do think it’s slightly worse than S11.
I personally really value some of the darker qualities of Ninjago (I absolutely love Skybound partly because of this), and really think it can shine in some of the grittier and more emotional parts. That said, I remember absolutely adoring this entire season when bingeing it immediately after the oni trilogy. I thought it was an excellent change of pace and absolutely hilarious, and I am very glad I'm not the only one!
To be honest, I was a bit shocked and a little disappointed with the first episode too when I first watched it, but at the same time I felt some kind of nostalgia. I mean, I had a throwback to the first season where they also used to play games and got lazy, these few episodes at the beginning of the 11. season just really reminded me of the kind of dorky-nes they had at the start of the series and how childish they were
Honestly my favorite thing to come out of these seasons was definitely the citizens of ninjago city being able to continue life while the world is ending around them.
21:22 It is a shame how they Butchered clutch powers, In my mind that’s a Skinwalker who killed clutch powers and is living in Ninjago trying to fit in
I have a fix for why aspheera would send zane 60 years into the past. Let's say she had no idea zane was a nindroid, and she just thought he was a normal human. Sending him 60 years into the past would make sure that, if the ninja ever did make it to the never-realm to save him, he would be too old to be of much use (though really she should have sent him like 100 years into the past so he would be dead by the time they got there). That is definitely not what the writers intended, but I think that could have worked as an explanation, if they had thought of such a thing. Also I know zane is always in his robot form and rarely in the human disguise so that would be something they would have had to think about for his scenes with aspheera present.
I love the ninja suits from this season. They've sort of become a staple in the later seasons, serving as their base outfits, and I think that this is one of Nya's best outfits.
My opinion is it didn’t ruin Ninjago it’s just bad, and here’s the thing a show that’s been going on as long as ninjago is allowed to have one or two bad seasons not everything is going to be a 10/10 and that’s fine the issue is the fans who give up on the series because of one bad season and act like the show is ruined now. So basically this season’s not great but the fans who act like the show is ruined because of it are dumb.
See, I never hated Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu. I’m so glad that someone else agrees, and what’s more, that the “someone else” can actually prove why the season was good!
Coming from someone who only watched this season MONTHS after it came out, the tone felt normal to me. In my country, cartoons come a lot later after they're actually released. But, I think that a few filler episodes would have been nice to set the pacing for the start of the season
If you think about it season 11 is a good thing that happened. The first have of the season is very comparable to the first half of season 2. Sure the show need a refresh after the serious tone from the “oni trilogy” it needed to walk it back in order to get some new ideas. The first episode is a good starting point for new comers to jump in instead of watching 10 seasons and a special plus this if the first time the ninja outfit have texture ( asking Wu’s beard )
After 4 years I’m still not that big of a fan of season 11 it is ranked in the 15th place in my personal ranking only betting day of the departed, hands of time and Crystallized but there we’re still thinking I found funny like the first two episodes are hilarious and always give me a good laugh I love the fights especially the one in the Muslim and I liked Vex and the blizzard samurais I also like the two guys from the ice chapter that I can’t remember the names of
love ninjago season 11 its my fav season i love asphera my fav villain, animatione, fillers, plot, story, characters and their development, the song and references
I actually love the twist and Akita x Lloyd, especially since I hated Harumi's vibe. But what I think is the biggest plot holes of this season is... How the actual hell do the staffs work!? I mean, the problems in no clarification for that thing are serious. If Aspheera had a staff that could teleport people back in time and into different realms why didn't she just use it on herself? Surely it would've been better than rotting in a tomb for thousands of years. Now if you're saying that it only transported people to the never realm, it would make even LESS sense! Do you seriously think that the FSM just thought, "Oh hey, why not make this scroll that transports people to the one place they can't return from?" And the fact that no one has tried to use the staff to get BACK from the never realm or it just doesn't work like that is dumb. And if the staff allows you to do anything and bend reality to your own will, that makes no sense either! Like- this thing's plot holes go from, Zane could've gotten back on his own, to Aspheera would've never been a problem in the first place! It's also really stupid that Zane, the logical and fact based guy of the team doesn't once think, "Oh, this staff sent me here? Why not try using it to send me back?" Sure you COULD say Zane didn't know how it worked and all, but if he's gonna hold on to the staff for awhile either way, it would probably make more sense to at least TRY using the staff to take him somewhere else before doing something that he KNOWS could erase his memory if it went wrong. Oh and can't forget that the ninja have to get Aspheera to get rid of Nya's powers in crystalized, instead of just doing it themselves is really weird. Does Aspheera have special abilities that she needs to be boosted in order for them to actually do something? This nonsense should've been explained at least SOMEWHERE.
I never liked Clutch Powers being in Ninjago at all (he's mentioned early on by Cole, in the episode where he finds his true potential) just because in the movie The Adventures of Clutch Powers one of the characters loses his legs and they just put them back on and it just felt out of place to have a character who can do that exist in a universe where they seem very attatched to their limbs. I settled on pretending he either comes from a realm in which he can take his legs off like that or the name is just a reference and he's not the same character. Aside from that, he felt fully in character the whole time. also for the Zane being the Ice Emperor thing, I just thought the Never Realm did a Narnia and time just works differently between realms
I am a Former Season 11 hater, I want to express my own opinion. Animation: I didn't like it, actualy I hated it so much that the little Details couldn't change my mind. But when the ice chapter released, I changed my mind. I still like the oni trilogy Animation better, but nowadays I think that the new Animation is great too. And it's mindblowing for me that Wildbrain improved their Animation so fast, Wilfilm needed 7 years to improve drasticly. Well, I still don't like the fire chapter Animation, but I accepted it. Music: this is actually something i never complained about. I remember back than talking about how much I hated season 11 but I never talked about how bad the music is because it was good. The only little think I was annoyed was that Zane sacrifice music was used again, but this is an overal problem. Season 8 and 15 used that music too Kai: I didn't like Kai in Season 11 and I still don't, but the problem with him started before that. I absolutly love Season 8, but this is also the Season were Kai became a new character. So Season 11 just continue that path. Story: the concept was phantastic, the execution not so much. I still think that this season "wasted (it's) true potencial", so the name of the first episode is ironic for me, because it describe what I think about this Season
As I said in the live chat, I don't hate season 11, it just disappointed me to a large extent. I appreciate the new lore and worldbuilding it introduced and you can tell they wanted to try something new, but things like the more childish tone, the retcons in the characters' writing and how they behave... I just don't.
Honestly the 11 minute era wasn’t that bad but since a lot of viewers didn’t like the change of well pace it was way to cringe and silly for most of the viewers but honestly it did pan to kids well
I know the Season is overhated an all, but its really not the "Masterpiece" people hype it up to. Its okay, but there are too many weird and unexplained things in it that she mentions. Like people hate on Crystalized for relieng on a book when S11's Time travel with Zane never got explained in the show, even though it is VERY important
My theory is that Asphera's logic was that because Wu is old then if she sent him back in time, even if the ninja are able to get to the never realm, he'd already be dead but then Zane pushed him out the way and got sent back in time instead! I JUST ON THE SPOT THOUGHT OF THIS!🫨

He was my favourite ninja growing up and they made him go from a nervous guy with funny jokes, but also smart and really useful to the team to a full blown comic relief who does absolutely NOTHING to contribute to the plot, except being Nya’s boyfriend.
I think my biggest problem is how this started the flanderization of Jay
Real 😢
Man, where were you when Jay became an incel who can’t move on? Would you rather he stayed that way?
the fight with wu at the start where they all fail is one of my favorites calling back to kai failing
I love the Filler Episodes
They're fun,
unique shine light on side characters like Nelson or P.I.X.A.L rather than the 6 main ninja and they work a lot better in the 11 minute format than normal episodes do
their main problem is that they don't push the plot forward, but rather the story stops in the middle so that we get an episode that focuses on a side character without anything else. they should've been like s2's
@@JolivoHY9not really they all push the plot forward in some way the
paper kids ep is how wu learned the ninjas were in the pyramid so pixal could save them
the news one introduces the scroll and is why the ninja and aspheera are going to the museum
kaiju protocol for all its faults not only resolved wu's gripes about the ninja leaving but also set up how the tea leaves were never gonna be enough to get them to the never realm
the only real filler ep in the season is the absolute worst but that gets a pass cuz it introduced fuji dove
@@monerb7185 the only one that really pushes the plot a little bit is snaketastrophy. and all we knew was that aspheera was looking for some scroll that could've been said in one line the next episode. no need to make an entire filler episode for that, and even in it we didn't really knew what scroll, just 'some' scroll
the problem with the news never sleeps is that they did nothing the whole episode until the very end and just to inform wu while they've could tell pixal when she was fighting the snakes, like scream or something.
the kaiju protocol has nothing, we already know that travels tea doesn't work, and even sorla said it in the last episode, so what's the point of that episode? and we already had a lot of moment showing how wu feeling useless without that episodes
also fugi dove could've been introduced just like the mechanic in s6. just wasted screentime
@@JolivoHY9 no her entire motivation changed from looking for the deceiver to looking for the scroll we kind of needed to see that happening and again the ninja were also informed of where she was going and them beating her there is important to the plot
kaiju protocol is the whole reason why wu and the ninja are back to normal terms next season and reestablishing the tea thing is important instead of getting only 2 lines about it in the whole season
they cant exactly go back to introduce fuji dove in s6 so i dont even know what your point there is
@@monerb7185 no lol her entire motivation was still looking for the scroll in the very next episode. we needed to NOT see snaketastrophy
how kaiju protocol is the reason lmao?? bro wu didn't even mention it in s13 when he was talking about how useless he was
bro, i said the mechanic was introduced in s6 so they should've introduced fugi dove that way. i didn't say they should've introduce him in s6 lmao?
1. great video
2. wu's plan was to run away from his problems and stay there forever
3. they did say how Zane was the Ice emporer for 60 years (all be it. it wasn't clear enough) "Time must work differently here" Lloyd
I’m so glad you brought up Cole’s sleeves cuz that has always bothered me 😂
OML thank you so much
i have been defending Aspheera for years and i really do see her as a great and fun villain with a funny fool running around her(char)
im glad we got her back in crystalized but i started to notie that eversince she returned in Crystalized more and more people strated changing opinions on her
overall great review
another banger of a video from our favorite youtuber
hope to see more like this in the future
This was the season that brought me back to Ninjago, it quickly became my favorite and still is, I never understood the hate for it...
A satisfying reason for the teams made of reason would be that Asphera wanted Zane to be alone for 60 years in the past the way she was imprisoned and left to rot
I never got the hate the "Anime" Episodes got. Yes they were filler, but it was so cool to see Ninjago adapted into a different medium of Animation.
You should’ve talked more about the masterpiece that is snaketastrophe, definitely a top 10 ninjago episode!
Extremely over-hated season. The first few episodes may be a bit slow, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel alot of the hate comes from people with nostalgia bias who simply hate the new designs and animation
Most of it is definitely not nostalgia bias if you are talking about s11-15
My least favorite thing about this season is how mean-spirited the banter got. I don't like seeing these characters insult each other regularly, especially not this far in.
As someone who loves the oni trilogy i love season 11 because it let me regain some of my happiness after the oni trilogy
Wu didn’t really think that Zane was still alive so he was trying to kill himself the same way he got one of his pupils killed.
at least ik im not the only one who was bothered about sleeveless cole in the never-realm
maybe Wu would have known where the Travel tree is locadet in this world, and the ninja found it with luck.
38:35 They did🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ The time works different in the Neverrealm
@@cosmic_ghostbruhI think Crystalized being a Lloyd season instead of a Kai season is far from the biggest issue with the season
I’d say crystalized should’ve been about the whole team instead of a single character
My main problem with this season is the ending but the rest really isn't bad
Bro season 10 is way worse than Secrets of the forbidden spinjitzu. Sercrets of the spinjitzu is jus underrated tbh. i really like it
What a joke, season 10 far better than that crap. Sure it was short and had a few other issues, but these problems are not even close to the problems season 11 has.
I hate season 10 is my 2 least favorite season
IDK man, I thought S10 was pretty good. Not the best, but still a decent season worth rewatching every once in a while. But I do think it’s slightly worse than S11.
I’m sorry but season 10 is infinitely superior to season 11
To hear someone saying s11 is good AND ranking the fire chapter over the ice chapter makes me very happy
I mean, I had a throwback to the first season where they also used to play games and got lazy, these few episodes at the beginning of the 11. season just really reminded me of the kind of dorky-nes they had at the start of the series and how childish they were
I think a beloved, lore-heavy show getting a goofier tone gave everyone Teen Titans Go flashbacks
29:25 a beautiful voice for a beautiful snake
Love the hair!
Honestly my favorite thing to come out of these seasons was definitely the citizens of ninjago city being able to continue life while the world is ending around them.
21:22
It is a shame how they Butchered clutch powers, In my mind that’s a Skinwalker who killed clutch powers and is living in Ninjago trying to fit in
I have a fix for why aspheera would send zane 60 years into the past.
5:24 Ngl this feels like a trial ☠️ 👩⚖️
23:18 Why are you looking at me like i know the answer?😂
A bit late but yeah Cole having short sleeves in the ice chapter still bothers me 5 years later
32:12 Freezer Burn
4:26 Personally I dont agree with you here but I also liked the fire chapter more than the ice chapter
32:09 it’s freezer burn
THANK YOUUUUUU!!! 🙏
I agree with EVERYTHING you just said! Thank you so much for making a video defending Season 11! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
nope still hate it... but I loved the video! whenever you upload am just happy
After 4 years I’m still not that big of a fan of season 11 it is ranked in the 15th place in my personal ranking only betting day of the departed, hands of time and Crystallized but there we’re still thinking I found funny like the first two episodes are hilarious and always give me a good laugh I love the fights especially the one in the Muslim and I liked Vex and the blizzard samurais I also like the two guys from the ice chapter that I can’t remember the names of
love ninjago season 11 its my fav season i love asphera my fav villain, animatione, fillers, plot, story, characters and their development, the song and references
elemental fire burns in space :) (s3)
Aspheera is the snake QUEEEEREEN
Lloyd did say "time must work differently in this realm" though when he understood Ice Emperor is Zane.
Do you seriously think that the FSM just thought, "Oh hey, why not make this scroll that transports people to the one place they can't return from?"
And the fact that no one has tried to use the staff to get BACK from the never realm or it just doesn't work like that is dumb.
Why not try using it to send me back?"
Sure you COULD say Zane didn't know how it worked and all, but if he's gonna hold on to the staff for awhile either way, it would probably make more sense to at least TRY using the staff to take him somewhere else before doing something that he KNOWS could erase his memory if it went wrong.
It is funny that the first episode was called wasted true potential wich is the whole season
crystalized topped it 😭
I never liked Clutch Powers being in Ninjago at all (he's mentioned early on by Cole, in the episode where he finds his true potential) just because in the movie The Adventures of Clutch Powers one of the characters loses his legs and they just put them back on and it just felt out of place to have a character who can do that exist in a universe where they seem very attatched to their limbs. I settled on pretending he either comes from a realm in which he can take his legs off like that or the name is just a reference and he's not the same character. Aside from that, he felt fully in character the whole time.
also for the Zane being the Ice Emperor thing, I just thought the Never Realm did a Narnia and time just works differently between realms
but I dont understand how you like/love this season but dont like/hate skybound?
nah it didnt ruin it, the creators did, besides thats like the only worst season of the wildbrain era
Season 8 and 15 used that music too
Kai: I didn't like Kai in Season 11 and I still don't, but the problem with him started before that.
#Takepixaltothemall
Season 11 is my 4 favorite season soo it didnt ruin ninjago season 4 ruin the show
As I said in the live chat, I don't hate season 11, it just disappointed me to a large extent. I appreciate the new lore and worldbuilding it introduced and you can tell they wanted to try something new, but things like the more childish tone, the retcons in the characters' writing and how they behave... I just don't.
#GivePixPJs
i thought it was just the fact i had grown up but after around s9 i stopped enjoying the show
Honestly the 11 minute era wasn’t that bad but since a lot of viewers didn’t like the change of well pace it was way to cringe and silly for most of the viewers but honestly it did pan to kids well
Ok.
This season wasn't even that bad chill out
I hate “The Paper Children” 🙂
Say what you say but in my opinion this tge funniest season ever
1ma
I dont really like Season 11
Yeah but a lot of people absolutely hate it, it’s not the best season, but it doesn’t deserve that much hate
I just remembered that Season 11 introduces Fugidove 😮
I changed my mind, I love Season 11!
I JUST ON THE SPOT THOUGHT OF THIS!🫨
I’d rather watch Hands of Time
