just now saw this video, honestly loved this i agree with you on so much, but you know what i really hate about the finale? the fact that ducktales is over. i just want more, like i feel they could do so much more... like its all about adventure and treasure hunting they could just make more adventures! its just so fun to watch.

My theory: Zane power source is allspark fragment remember when in Transformers Animated the allspark exploded on million fragments? That means one of the fragments could be found by Doctor Jullien and used to power him up or the fragment just fly into Zane and yeah Ninjago and Transformers Animated is one of the best or even the best shows I watched as a kid

My theory is that Asphera's logic was that because Wu is old then if she sent him back in time, even if the ninja are able to get to the never realm, he'd already be dead but then Zane pushed him out the way and got sent back in time instead! I JUST ON THE SPOT THOUGHT OF THIS!🫨

The thing I don't get about your point is that, you open this video stating a very true fact - ninjago's target audience is young boys. I agree that the representation of women in this show could have definitely been improved (especially in some of the earlier seasons) but at the end of the day the target audience is boys, and so there are gonna be more male lead characters.

Disney laid off all of their TV animation team. Animators are marching with their union as all of American animation is being gutted in every studio and they refuse to negotiate any contract. We may not see any new cartoons from Disney for a very long time. They never knew what they had. They gave up their legacy. Anything good was made in spite of Disney executives and not because of them and could only exist as long as none of the higher ups took notice of them.

I always thought it was funny throughout the entire show that all the other ninjas have fallen inlove at first sight ATLEAST once, except Cole. Every. Single. Character. Falls in love with someone of the opposite sex. Except Cole. I mean with the way the show treats him, he's very easily to label as gay. He shows no attraction to women, nor is he really close to any, compared to his (sometimes intimate) relationships with the other men he grows up around. Cole is gay, right ?? Even writers thought he was gay, so like..

58:28 "In any sort of thing resembling reality" I feel like the fact that they're all Lego people lets me suspend my disbelief to an insane degree and I will just buy any crazy story development. Not saying this means it's unworthy of any closer analysis or critical take or anything, just that as someone who's not in the target demo but giving this show a shot anyway, my expectations are kind of rock bottom and I have only been pleasantly surprised by some of the crazier narrative risks and leaps they take.

I love the ninja suits from this season. They've sort of become a staple in the later seasons, serving as their base outfits, and I think that this is one of Nya's best outfits.

The ending of ducktales 2017 is a crying shame. They clearly didn't get the time they needed to flesh out their story, and they did a lot of their characters dirty in the process, leaving many loose ends dangling as they rushed to tie up their story and avoid that dreaded cliffhanger. Ducktales was probably one of the best TV shows Disney has produced in the last 10 years and the fact that they canceled it early, resulting in this *awful* ending, is just deppressing. At least we have fanfiction i guess

I was a female Ninjago kid! However I never rlly like nya as a child. I only ever watched the first few seasons while they were on tv before I “grew out of it” and started watching Disney shows. I never gravitated towards Nya, I was a major Zane lover. I was a typical girly girl and couldn’t connect with or relate to her but I could with Zane? I watched a lot of “boy shows” so I rarely got good female charters so I would latch onto the more feminine male characters and take those as my female fav characters 😂 HOWEVER once samurai x showed up she really rose through the ranks
