I want to add here that .... Getting a Tableau Desktop Associate certification has become a bit more harder than Tableau desktop 9 version times. Especially with Tableau Specialist certification in picture (which gives acclaim for essentials and basics of Tableau). Desktop Associate is also a pre-requisite for Tableau Profesional exam.

I agree, Udemy is a pretty solid place. Not as high quality as LinkedIn but I don't see any LinkedIn courses on that subject...

What are some good resources for understanding which skills are in high demand and that are in short supply in the market to help us understand the market better? Without visibility into those components, we're sort of flying blind in terms of trying to understand where to focus our time and energy.

I would say Medium is a pretty good resource. Here's an article I published a while back: medium.com/@johndavidariansen/emerging-trends-in-the-analytics-job-market-56e1cf1e623a

The categories are broad, but good place to start is to go start is the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook and type keywords like "data analyst." Here is one for Management Analyst and the 10 year job outlook is "11% much higher than average." Since the BLS hires a lot of economists to compile this research this is telling your that demand increases outpace supply in this labor market. www.bls.gov/ooh/business-and-financial/management-analysts.htm

But , Tableau specialist is the easiest certification. just an hour and only 70% score to pass. Its Tableau Associate Certification that is hard.

You're right. Most of the audience for my channel is looking for their first job so taking the harder exam is probably not the wise decision here. If you've been working with Tableau for a while then you should sit in for the harder versions of the exam.
