0:15 this is incorrect. JB7.2 this is the jailbreak for firmware 5.1. You can see that by comparing the changelogs. JB7.2. also has the same issues with the SGB2 as official Firmware 5.1. has. OFW 5.2. has the SGB2 screen tearing issue fixed (not listed in the patch notes). Meanwhile, btw. they released OFW 5.3. which fixed issues with the audio DAC. The JB Firmware, sadly, never had an update based on 5.2. or later. unfortunately. I hope this changes somewhen in the far far future.
@@_BELMONT_ For sure I need to test its compatibility at this point versus the SD2SNES/FXPAK Pro. So how many games difference it makes or if any games I play even matter at this point. I think there have to be a few but I honestly haven't ever just tried the jailbroken firmware.
@@edmundroth6337 This list is old so I don't know if anything has changed but should give you an idea about compatibility with the jailbreak vs SD2SNES/FXPAK Pro. The Super NT will play any physical cartridge without issue regardless of special chip as the special chips for those original games are on the cartridge themselves. www.reddit.com/r/AnalogueInc/comments/mnir2z/comment/gu11a2c/
Doesn't the system run at 60 hz, not at 120, which only a few games on the newest systems run at? Just got my NT and am trying to set for optimal game play. Newer 4k TV can run HDMI at either 60 or 120 hz depending on input.
It supports 50/60 hz for global compatibility. Or if you purchase the Analogue DAC it can be connected to a CRT and run at original/native. Though the DAC doesn't come with the output cables and they have to be purchased separately.

thank god this dropped! i have an fxpak pro but for those who dont have/want that, this is great news!
I agree. I have the SD2SNES named version but cool to think you can get a lot of the way there without dropping an additional $230.
@@paused.gaming fantastic news for new SuperNT owners!

Does Jailbreak Firmware matter to you? Or do you prefer to purchase an Everdrive or SD2SNES/FXPAK PRO?
