teared up when you started talking about how you'd never treat your body with restriction from foods. as someone who struggled with disordered eating, it means a lot that you prioritize happiness when it comes to your relationship with fitness and food.

You’ve come a long way, thank you for sharing. I’m finally getting back into fitness and I struggle with eating enough. I’m now exercising between 3-4 times a week but I’m eating the same as I was when I was sedentary. Food is definitely the hard aspect of fitness for me.

I am 5’2 25 years old and had 2 kids. Could never gain weight. I was 89 pounds. If your vaping/smoking. Quitting helped me on my journey. Over 2 months I have gained. Now I’m 102 pounds. I picked my eating. And learning to eat more. I just started working out and hopefully it will help. My goal weight is 115 or at least 120

I absolutely love this video! Not enough people talk about how hard it is to gain weight because it tends to get discredited! I’ve been told oh your lucky this and that but being a very skinny woman and I eat it’s frustrating. I wish more people would talk about this because a lot of naturally thin people struggle with this.

as a filo I feel the same, whatever I eat goes away from fast metabolism, I started doing banded lower workouts and I grew some muscle. I now go to the gym have been on and off for 3 or so years. I eat whatever I want. I need to have consistently as my best friend. I gain muscle and fat where I want but never get at the "goal" because I'm not consistent ❤

Thank you so much for sharing! I feel like many fitness enthusiasts have started to become more transparent with the lessons they learned throughout their journey and I'm honestly here for it. I remember 2019-early 2020 was the year that I wanted to lose weight and the only source I had was google so I started on 1000 calories (just for reference I am 4'9), but I don't recommend this to anyone because because my hormones were out of whack, always tired, and felt dizzy all the time. Fast forward September 2020 hired a personal trainer and she helped me slowly bring up calories to 1700, but I definitely was all over the place with it. There would be days where I would fall back on eating low calories, but now I'm very proud to say that I'm eating between 1850-2100 calories. My lifting journey was equally all over the place as my nutrition, but I'm doing much better in terms of foam and recovery. I love your philosophy on fitness in that it should be sustainable, and I'm glad you're putting out good content. ❤

I love this so much! I'm currently trying to cut after my bulk but i found that for the first few weeks of my cut I would become obsessive with food and go back to my unhealthy patterns. I was also constantly hungry (even though I'm still eating around 1900-2000kcal and cutting slowly). I would love to see your cut journey!

Finally someone I can relate to body wise on here. I used to be sooooo skinny naturally. But then I was put on medication and gained 40 lbs. tried to lose the weight and nearly developed an eating disorder. Then I just let it all go. Stopped the gym ate what I wanted. Now I’m at a healthy weight and better relationship to food and my body and I’m just starting to go back to the gym again. Trying to find my way around all the equipment right now lol

lol this was awesome, again not a lot of people are as transparent and real about their journey and the little secrets to get there gooo Mukda :) you had me laughing a few times as well. Your personality never disappoints. I'm with you when it comes to training , changing my routine and experimenting, always on the hunt for more glute gains. So when you don't do cheatdays you just eat every second day or so a junk food meal or heavier meal? I do a full cheat days once a week however my body is not always responding great to it as after 10 years of training my body is used to eating pretty healthy. Never tried going another route.

I can gain weight but not in the right places. I mostly carry my weight in my upper body so when I do gain weight I feel like it not proportionate. I am currently 120lb and the biggest I’ve recorded was 155. I was able to loose the weight because Im naturally skinny or like a mesomorph. I want to keep my slenderness but add more weight to my butt and thighs while toning my arms and abs.

You have a resting bmr which how many calories you’d burn everyday if you didnt do anything at all (mine is around 1400 calories) so if I slept all day that how many calories I would burn… every day activities burn calories then on top of that if you workout really hard that’s going to burn calories… all calories are is a unit of energy… when you don’t get enough your body will burn fat or muscles in your body that your trying to grow as a energy source instead… so if you start working out to grow… it going to take more calories in order to have the energy to both use and grow those muscles… so when you eat, the calories will first go to the bmr which is what you need Just to live… then the rest extra will go to the activity your doing… you will only grow in your stomach if your eating in excess of what you need for your goals or if your not eating clean meals (ex:empty calories/only fast food/only desert) an excess of fat in your diet can lead to it sitting as visceral fat in your waist line… but if a LOT of healthy foods while also weight training you will see the body fill in the right places ✨

I have a huge difficulty eating, I just don't like it anymore. When I get hungry, I get impatient, because I have to eat at home, I wear ortodontic braces and it destroyed my pleasure of eating in other environments and at friends' houses. I started training in January and in the first month I was very hungry and obeyed my body without problems, as I always eat good and healthy food. But now, finishing 3 months of strength training, I don't feel hungry anymore, I forget to eat, when I become aware that I need to ingest something, I get moody and lazy. In other words, little expressive results so far.

I don’t think ppl realize how hard it’s is for us Asians to evolve our naturally rectangular skinny bodies..
