This film was truly captivating! The cop actor delivered an outstanding performance, bringing depth and authenticity to the role. The tragic ending for the little girl tugged at my heartstrings and reminded me of the fragility of life. It's a poignant reminder to cherish the things that truly matter. Great work by the cast and crew!
Good storyline and is well told, considering the difficulty of funding, this story has the potential to be fleshed out. How did the world get to this point? Where did this group of people end up? Did the other woman ever find her daughter? But still, a good movie and the actors did a good job. Thank you!

This storyline could be in reference to apocalyptic times which occur when Gods hand is taken off of this world -after His people are removed, ppl left behind will be desperately trying to survive if they do not subject to the mark.
Despite the low budget, the dystopian theme...and necessary violence, there is an unusual 'sweetness' to the underlying story. It is character-based rather than sensational...& more about budding relationships while fighting to survive. The sad but open ending says it all. Thanks for a very fine movie.💥🔥🙏🏾🔥💥
If someone of them had basic military training, they would all be alive. You are now behind enemy lines. You do not sleep in buildings, you hide in random forest area. You need to see, not to be seen. You do not take the big road. A body in good condition is your lifeline, so take care of your basic needs. You use darkness as your friend. You better be invisible, but if fight seek you, try to take out all the bad guys (and stay low while you do that). More guns, resources and soldiers are better. But if you are not an army, keep a low profile. Always secure your base camp and fortify. When you are on the move, try to get some overview. And don't be an easy target. And winter time is at another level. But stone age people managed it, so not impossible.
Things that would be critical to survive: maps, good shoes, fire starter, a knife, something to boil water in, a good hiding place. I’d almost prefer if the current system broke down. The rich are too comfortable while the rest of the world is barely holding on.
The rich can hide their bunkers, but for how long ??, as they don't have the street smarts like most of us have and that's not killing someone to survive.
I feel like that often also but the rest is to appreciate what we have , do our best while doing good in each situation. Thanks for sharing thanks for caring.

yeah just one more of those eclipses where f'all happened really and still the keep on with the B.S about the end of days just like they have been saying for the last 1,500 years and as usual they got it wrong. This is better than most of the low budget SHTF movies I see on youtube. Maintained suspenseful atmosphere pretty well. It's no Mad Max, but worth watching, IMO.

The ending is very sad 😢. But overall it was a very good and thought provoking and deep movie! That fatherand daughterandgrandfather in the church had me in tears with how beautiful and compassionate they all were. 🙏✝️👍
As a 3+ decades long prepper, I take issue with the premise that everyone is trying to kill one another. There will always be safety in numbers, don't forget that! Still a good movie.
I'm not being picky. But just started this and have high hopes for it. One thing I noticed right away though is that you wouldn't get your water from the shallowest part of a lake where small waves are breaking over the dirt and sand. The water is likely much clearer if not cleaner 5 ft or so out.. That is something that someone should have picked up on making this film. But I promise I'm not going to be picky
Actually they should have dug a shallow hole about 4-5 away from the shoreline and let it fill from the bottom. Of course the depends on how fast you're trying to cover ground.

Darn good movie. Great script, story started with great acting and not have to skip through boring parts to get to the point. The little girl stole my heart, so innocent and caring.
Agreed, one of the very first thing I noticed, no stealth at all. With every step came a clunk, clunk, clunk, for me it was just so cringe worthy, like seriously dude, why not just strike up the band while you're at it. I mean just seconds ago, dudes with guns are looking for you and you just refuse to sit/stay still. Those actions alone will get you raped, robbed and murdered in no time flat in a world like they're trying to portray. I had to stop watching, it was just so phony.

Just started it , and with an open mind.. God i hope this short film is good. Simply for an escape from today... even if it is for only an hour or so. In short Iv'e had a terrible day, hopefully this will take me away from my thoughts....
yeah, it was okay but it did not have a beginning, a middle and an end. So they ride off into the sunset to start a new civilization? I suspect it would be more of the same. Needs something. Like they find a thriving community somewhere where life is good and little girl goes to school,
What a great movie and I enjoyed each minute. Yes I agree, all actors were excellent; especially the cop actor. I havent seen an exciting and survival film in a long time. A compliment to the cast and crew. Greetings from a former American living in Germany.

Absolutely Brilliant! For once, a post apocalyptic movie that was actually realistic. The carachters were truly authentic, the acting was superb and beautifully directed. This has to be one of the very best films of this type that I have seen - an Excellent performance by everyone involved. Well Done!
Kept me interested, anxious even. Happy to overlook many of the flaws, like mowed verges on the highways and streets. Also saw a car drive by in one of the scenes.
So easy to criticize, but really quite realistic as such movies go. Anyone notice the uniformity of the bad condition of clothing and hygiene? Now that is almost always overlooked in most such movies. Actors with mostly NEW clothing, AND mostly clean shaven. As such, it was nice to see apocalyptic folks that LOOK like people that have little or no access to washing machines and other personal care supplies. Just eat, sleep, fight, and run, and that's pretty much how it would be in real life. People WOULD be wearing badly damaged clothing, and things would devolve into 'they' (predatory types) and the decent ones just trying to get by without becoming monsters. As for tactical accuracy, the everyday movements were not too bad. The average people are not trained special forces or army rangers! People are clumsy, and TIRED under real survival conditions, especially LONG and open-ended ones. After awhile it comes down to luck, perseverance, and simple determination, but even then, the laws of averages and the severity of conditions would indeed tend to make the death toll continue to climb as it showed. Let's just hope that like in this movie, more predatory types die than the good folks! I hate seeing the good guys die, but it made me more determined than ever to strive for the way-of-life, and turn away from that old 'Darwinian' crap about "Devil-take-the-hinder-most". That eulogy by the graves was top notch! "And I learned how to care again". Now THAT is what we all need to start doing in everyday now time, BEFORE it comes to 'grid down', ya know it? Go ahead and 'prep', but seriously QUESTION just what you are doing with your life and self NOW, before it gets to grid down. Do you really care about anything but material ism? Are you really worth saving? Are you truly enough of a Humanist to take the high road if things fall apart? I think that was what this movie really tried, and did a great job of telling us. Two thumbs UP!!
All the nuclear plants and bio labs will ensure that after an apocalyptic event a person will not be able to grab water out of the lake...realistic..lol

This is surprisingly good for a low budget movie, in fact its a lot better than most of the woke crap that Hollywood and Disney are pushing out at the moment.
Post Apocalypse movies I always seems to find interesting and intriguing. This one in particular I felt the blood shed was not overly dramatic as with other experiences in the past. It was a two thumbs up experience for me definately [ ].
The thing I don't get about these apocalyptic movies, is they always do the things they should not do, whoever makes these movies does not have any idea what to do in a situation like this! First of all you stay as far away from any towns as possible, you live in the forest prefering a dry interior maybe semi desert area, so there lots of dry fire wood all the time, and also near a lake to fish and have a rifle to hunt, learn to make and use a bow and arrows to hunt and live quietly, far from civiization, that means before a disastor happens and you have the grid and all you need, take on line courses how to make your own primitive weapons ie. spears and bows and arrows. this should be done so you already know bush craft as a part of your every day life. Also if you have to travel, travel at night when you can stay hidden and dress in dark cloths to hide yourself, only go to a town if you can late at night, when everyone is asleep, most criminals are at the place they plan to be by 10 pm. thats one thing I was told by a police officer many years ago. so by 11,12 midnight you can travel and look for food farely safely, Then it might be okay to go into a town to look for supplies to augment your food and clothing as well get some soap you might want to stay clean as possible, it is healthier. and to obtain shoes boots and clean cloths to scrounge in abandoned houses for supplies is an option if you don't find anything in the stores. it is good to go with groups of people you trust friends family etc. also if possible get a wagon from a sports shop used to carry more supplies, you can find them in shops like Cabalas, they are big and can be pulled easily anywhere and are mobile and to carry children who cannot walk as far as adults. build travoises to carry supplies if you can't find a wagon. these are things you can look for as you go along. or make you own equipement from items found along the way. It is always a plan to be prepped before a diseastor happens most people are too busy living to understand how to survive, this was made very clear during the plandemic, Most people just went along with the flow, and did what daddy gov. told them to do even though that same entity lies/lied to them about everything but the kitichen sink, for some unfathomable reason FULL 50% of you went voluntarilly to get those jibs without thinking twice and doing some investigating and reading all the signs, the red flags were flying high for aal to see. And those pushing these experimental unapproved jbs didn't seem to notice or care that the politicians didn't get them it was plain to see they faked their jbs. but did you all look closely as what they didn't do when they sat for their's, the nurse stepped in front of them to hide what didn't happen, or retractable or siringes with no needles were used on the CVD pushers, when looking closely this as very noticiable. this is typical of the general public they tend to just go aong with the crowd and are toaly unprepared for diseastors those in charged kept changing their stories and changing the narrative, but most of the public just danced to the drum beat and went along, all the while condemning those of us who stood back and said "Wait a minute somethng stinks in China, Wuhan to be specific, it is the same thing, the general public just goes along with the same people who always scam you and lie and steal from you and still you obeyed them like slaves. i say this to illustrate a point, most people in our towns and cities would die in a real apocalypse, as is portrayed in this movie, they do not understand how to survive and only live for today. They do not store up supplies or think ahead, they go along with daddy gov. who tells them to only keep a least 3 days supply of foods during a diseastor, sorry no more like a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 1 yr. supply of food and other essentials plus an alternative supply of water and heat other off the grid, items like a wood burning stove. But most people are too dependent on the grid, and literally don't know how to live even without internet. or pharma medicines, not learnng about herbals and foods they can eat to heal themselves, and natural healing methods. and basic first aid. they would stay in a city and take a chance of being robbed or become the criminals and take from those less able they would become the ones who would terrorize others, something they would never under normal circumstances comprehend being. this is our society today. So if I made a movie like this it would have a different format, they needed to obtain hunting and fishing supplies, to live as far from towns as possible like go far into the wilderness where you have 0 chance of running into anyone, or live nocternally. thats the only other option. this is myy opinion basd on what I observe of this society, I like my fellow humans and hate no one, and love those close to me but for the most part we have lost our warrior spirit and the skills to survive outside so called civilization.
If everyone did everything right, it would be a boring movie. It's entertainment, NOT a documentary or a how-to feature. Hollywood makes movies of people making mistakes and the consequences that follow. If YOU made a movie of what you would do, based on your very long comment, it would be a total flop.
First of all, you have little clue as to the mass scale problems of 300,000,000 + starving and desperate people suddenly forced to survive in any way they can. The notion that things would be alright if they learn how to make bows and such is utter non sense. Just how long do you think the wilderness is going to support all the swarms of refuges, huh? And as for nocturnal, we need light to see the country side and scan as we go for resources, wild edible plants, and any useful salvage and the countless signs of what is going on that would mostly pass unseen in darkness. Also, just how would YOU search abandoned buildings at night?? Can YOU see in the dark? You need to rethink your notions of what real grid down apocalyptic living would look like after a year or so of the remains of 300,000,000+ people have been out there roaming the land looking for anything of value. Think it over real carefully.....
Nothing more dangerous than continuously moving into new unknown areas. Without stopping to fully learn the area he’ll never even know when he is safe.
The truth is no one will know how they will react in these situations. Even trained soldiers could be picked of by ambush. It's not a typical war zone. You wouldn't know who is friend or foe when everyone is desperate.
The father made such foolish choises by leaving his daughter with strangers.He shoud have stayed with her both times and let the other men go to get the food and later the gasoline,however it was a great,great,great movie.
If my opinion means anything this movie is worth watching it has walking dead vibes only instead of dead being the monsters it's some of the living that are the monsters I recommend you watch it.
I live deep down a ravine overlooking the Ipoh-Menglembu highway. My roof is actually a small tent erected by myself. It always gets cold in the morning but I have a thick blanket to warm myself.
I've just started and am comment surfing. We shall see. I do agree that some movies are simply too long. My personal preference would be two, or more, shorter films that are good to one full-length that's mostly fluff.
Where & which are the “quad cities”? I’ve heard the term before but not where you are. Looks like a nice place btw, except for the post-apocalyptic predators. Hope those left with the movie crew.

Surviving an Apocalypse would be infinitely worse then anything depicted on film except maybe "the road"

Sono previste carestie, malattie incurabili, allagamenti, terremoti e tanti altri disastri. E' tutto a causa del nostro peccato. Dobbiamo pentirci e che Dio abbia misericordia di noi.

The ending is very sad 😢. But overall it was a very good and thought provoking and deep movie! That fatherand daughterandgrandfather in the church had me in tears with how beautiful and compassionate they all were. 🙏✝️👍

I'm not being picky. But just started this and have high hopes for it. One thing I noticed right away though is that you wouldn't get your water from the shallowest part of a lake where small waves are breaking over the dirt and sand. The water is likely much clearer if not cleaner 5 ft or so out.. That is something that someone should have picked up on making this film. But I promise I'm not going to be picky
Actually they should have dug a shallow hole about 4-5 away from the shoreline and let it fill from the bottom. Of course the depends on how fast you're trying to cover ground.

Darn good movie. Great script, story started with great acting and not have to skip through boring parts to get to the point. The little girl stole my heart, so innocent and caring.

Agreed, one of the very first thing I noticed, no stealth at all. With every step came a clunk, clunk, clunk, for me it was just so cringe worthy, like seriously dude, why not just strike up the band while you're at it. I mean just seconds ago, dudes with guns are looking for you and you just refuse to sit/stay still. Those actions alone will get you raped, robbed and murdered in no time flat in a world like they're trying to portray. I had to stop watching, it was just so phony.

yeah, it was okay but it did not have a beginning, a middle and an end. So they ride off into the sunset to start a new civilization? I suspect it would be more of the same. Needs something. Like they find a thriving community somewhere where life is good and little girl goes to school,

Kept me interested, anxious even. Happy to overlook many of the flaws, like mowed verges on the highways and streets. Also saw a car drive by in one of the scenes.

So easy to criticize, but really quite realistic as such movies go. Anyone notice the uniformity of the bad condition of clothing and hygiene? Now that is almost always overlooked in most such movies. Actors with mostly NEW clothing, AND mostly clean shaven. As such, it was nice to see apocalyptic folks that LOOK like people that have little or no access to washing machines and other personal care supplies. Just eat, sleep, fight, and run, and that's pretty much how it would be in real life. People WOULD be wearing badly damaged clothing, and things would devolve into 'they' (predatory types) and the decent ones just trying to get by without becoming monsters.
As for tactical accuracy, the everyday movements were not too bad. The average people are not trained special forces or army rangers! People are clumsy, and TIRED under real survival conditions, especially LONG and open-ended ones. After awhile it comes down to luck, perseverance, and simple determination, but even then, the laws of averages and the severity of conditions would indeed tend to make the death toll continue to climb as it showed. Let's just hope that like in this movie, more predatory types die than the good folks! I hate seeing the good guys die, but it made me more determined than ever to strive for the way-of-life, and turn away from that old 'Darwinian' crap about "Devil-take-the-hinder-most". That eulogy by the graves was top notch! "And I learned how to care again". Now THAT is what we all need to start doing in everyday now time, BEFORE it comes to 'grid down', ya know it? Go ahead and 'prep', but seriously QUESTION just what you are doing with your life and self NOW, before it gets to grid down. Do you really care about anything but material ism? Are you really worth saving? Are you truly enough of a Humanist to take the high road if things fall apart? I think that was what this movie really tried, and did a great job of telling us.

Post Apocalypse movies I always seems to find interesting and intriguing. This one in particular I felt the blood shed was not overly dramatic as with other experiences in the past. It was a two thumbs up experience for me definately [ ].

The thing I don't get about these apocalyptic movies, is they always do the things they should not do, whoever makes these movies does not have any idea what to do in a situation like this!
First of all you stay as far away from any towns as possible, you live in the forest prefering a dry interior maybe semi desert area, so there lots of dry fire wood all the time, and also near a lake to fish and have a rifle to hunt,
learn to make and use a bow and arrows to hunt and live quietly, far from civiization, that means before a disastor happens and you have the grid and all you need, take on line courses how to make your own primitive weapons ie. spears and bows and arrows. this should be done so you already know bush craft as a part of your every day life.
Also if you have to travel, travel at night when you can stay hidden and dress in dark cloths to hide yourself, only go to a town if you can late at night, when everyone is asleep,
most criminals are at the place they plan to be by 10 pm. thats one thing I was told by a police officer many years ago. so by 11,12 midnight you can travel and look for food farely safely,
Then it might be okay to go into a town to look for supplies to augment your food and clothing as well get some soap you might want to stay clean as possible, it is healthier.
and to obtain shoes boots and clean cloths to scrounge in abandoned houses for supplies is an option if you don't find anything in the stores.
it is good to go with groups of people you trust friends family etc. also if possible get a wagon from a sports shop used to carry more supplies, you can find them in shops like Cabalas,
they are big and can be pulled easily anywhere and are mobile and to carry children who cannot walk as far as adults. build travoises to carry supplies if you can't find a wagon. these are things you can look for as you go along. or make you own equipement from items found along the way.
It is always a plan to be prepped before a diseastor happens most people are too busy living to understand how to survive, this was made very clear during the plandemic,
Most people just went along with the flow, and did what daddy gov. told them to do even though that same entity lies/lied to them about everything but the kitichen sink,
for some unfathomable reason FULL 50% of you went voluntarilly to get those jibs without thinking twice and doing some investigating and reading all the signs, the red flags were flying high for aal to see.
And those pushing these experimental unapproved jbs didn't seem to notice or care that the politicians didn't get them it was plain to see they faked their jbs.
but did you all look closely as what they didn't do when they sat for their's, the nurse stepped in front of them to hide what didn't happen,
or retractable or siringes with no needles were used on the CVD pushers, when looking closely this as very noticiable.
this is typical of the general public they tend to just go aong with the crowd and are toaly unprepared for diseastors
those in charged kept changing their stories and changing the narrative, but most of the public just danced to the drum beat and went along, all the while condemning those of us who stood back and said "Wait a minute somethng stinks in China, Wuhan to be specific,
it is the same thing, the general public just goes along with the same people who always scam you and lie and steal from you and still you obeyed them like slaves.
i say this to illustrate a point, most people in our towns and cities would die in a real apocalypse, as is portrayed in this movie,
they do not understand how to survive and only live for today.
They do not store up supplies or think ahead, they go along with daddy gov. who tells them to only keep a least 3 days supply of foods during a diseastor, sorry no more like a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 1 yr. supply of food and other essentials plus an alternative supply of water and heat other off the grid, items like a wood burning stove.
But most people are too dependent on the grid, and literally don't know how to live even without internet. or pharma medicines, not learnng about herbals and foods they can eat to heal themselves, and natural healing methods. and basic first aid.
they would stay in a city and take a chance of being robbed or become the criminals and take from those less able they would become the ones who would terrorize others, something they would never under normal circumstances comprehend being. this is our society today.
So if I made a movie like this it would have a different format, they needed to obtain hunting and fishing supplies, to live as far from towns as possible like go far into the wilderness where you have 0 chance of running into anyone, or live nocternally. thats the only other option. this is myy opinion basd on what I observe of this society,
I like my fellow humans and hate no one, and love those close to me but for the most part we have lost our warrior spirit and the skills to survive outside so called civilization.
If everyone did everything right, it would be a boring movie. It's entertainment, NOT a documentary or a how-to feature. Hollywood makes movies of people making mistakes and the consequences that follow. If YOU made a movie of what you would do, based on your very long comment, it would be a total flop.

First of all, you have little clue as to the mass scale problems of 300,000,000 + starving and desperate people suddenly forced to survive in any way they can. The notion that things would be alright if they learn how to make bows and such is utter non sense. Just how long do you think the wilderness is going to support all the swarms of refuges, huh? And as for nocturnal, we need light to see the country side and scan as we go for resources, wild edible plants, and any useful salvage and the countless signs of what is going on that would mostly pass unseen in darkness. Also, just how would YOU search abandoned buildings at night?? Can YOU see in the dark? You need to rethink your notions of what real grid down apocalyptic living would look like after a year or so of the remains of 300,000,000+ people have been out there roaming the land looking for anything of value. Think it over real carefully.....

The father made such foolish choises by leaving his daughter with strangers.He shoud have stayed with her both times and let the other men go to get the food and later the gasoline,however it was a great,great,great movie.

If my opinion means anything this movie is worth watching it has walking dead vibes only instead of dead being the monsters it's some of the living that are the monsters I recommend you watch it.
