There is one thing you can do to help mojo. And you will have to find it in your heart and open it up again for another hurt. You can go to your local animal shelter and find an old cat. Along the same luns not looking like but personality available someone who needs a happy home a loving life for what little time they have left. He misses the company of Elvis he needs the company of an older senior cat. And it's one of the hardest things to do but it will help him and you too maybe. The feelings and the loss will probably never go away you just need to open up. Take your time and go look and see who may fit.
I think I can only agree to this. Find an older cat in your local animal shelter to keep Mojo and you company. It's going to be hard but it'll be worth it.
Poor MoJo, he misses his friend. Luckily, he has you to look after him.

When I lost Tiger, my cat of 14 years, I was so heartbroken, that I could not think of getting another cat for two years because I wanted to hold onto Tiger's memory. But I missed having a cat in my life so last May, I found this adorable dilute calico at the local shelter,
as I was longing for a kitty. Her name is Delilah and she'll be two years old in May. She is very affectionate and into everything. I still miss Tiger very much but Delilah is softening the
bruised spot in my heart. Not easy to move on, so Roger, let Elvis be with you for as long as it takes.💕

Thanks Roger, nice Sunday chat. Sorry to hear about Mojo. We always have 2 cats and the one left behind griefs as any person would. We had to introduce a new cat to our old girl 2 years ago and it's always hard for everybody involved. You'll have to pamper Mojo a bit. Take care!

Coelogyne come in miniature. Coel schilleriana being one of the smallest (about the size of an Onc. Twinkle).
How do you feel about getting Mojo some company? Not a kitten that would need training but a youngish cat from a rescue centre that is already litter tray trained? It would give Mojo something to watch and think about rather than just missing Elvis and you would still have some company when Mojo is no longer around 🤷♀️
Thank you, Roger, for this very informative video. I did have a Coelogyne once. It was doing fine after its first repot, but some very tiny snails eat all its new roots almost overnight. By the time I got rid of them, the plant started to fail and just went downhill. A pity, as the flowers were very fragant. I will take my time to try again, as they are very large!
I am sorry to hear that Mojo is so sad. In my experience, it would help to get him some company. It takes some time for cats to accept a new cat, but then it keeps them happily entertained. I follow Jackson Galaxy's advice to introduce new cats. He has got very good videos on the topic.

I just received 2 coelogyne seedlings. So I am interested. I live in the tropics and I am excited I received my first coelogynes. Thanks for the information. It helps when these are unfamiliar orchids for me.
Try and keep them cool - some will stop growing if they get too hot.

Oh for the gold finches you cut down all their hiding spots. You might not see many for a while
The Goldfinches spend most of their time in the tall trees - they are still there.
For cords on the ground you need gaffers tape..... Basically duct tape to tape the wires down sorry you and your kitty are so sad. When one of my cats passed the other one was so needy and cried for about a month or so
It's only been a few weeks - maybe he will settle down soon.
I believe lawrenciana is one of the parents of Memoria W. Micholitz. And the other one is mooreana so you have both of its parents 😉

@@GrowingOrchidswithRoger yep, you gave it to me as it didn't do well for you. Unfortunately there was something seriously wrong with it and it died despite me trying my best. Probably virus 😕
I have two and for one it's already too warm and for the other one not warm enough 😁 (Fimbriata, cool and Pandurata, warm/hot) Fimbriata is a miniature
I had Coel. fimbriata once - yes, a small grower - Autumn blooming if I remember right?

A few years ago both you and I bought a Coelogyne ochracea/nitida var lemoniana. Yours went downhill and you got rid of it. Is this the one you gave to Sean perhaps?
No, Shaun got the cristata - in a large open plastic basket at the time.
