This was my childhood and Korone sang it , what a time to be alive .
Mine too, and when I heard her singing Ranma's opening she covered pretty much all the anime that brought me into the genre. The only one missing is the Slayer's opening.

There was something really magical about the original dragonball. No other anime has managed to capture the feeling that dragon ball gave me
Same dude, it really nailed the adventure aspect that thousands upon thousands of not only anime but pieces of fiction in general try to execute but most of the time falls flat and artificial.
Z is great but for very different reasons, and is a lot more action based than adventure than OG is.
Its the mid to late 80s feel of that anime. For some reason its just so nostalgic
Wow, I genuine enjoy that. Most of the time when I listen to hololive Idol sings. I just enjoy it normally. But hearing Korone sings childhood's song made me dance a little bit.

Back when dragon ball was just an adventure gag anime. Goku is just a monkey demon and not an alien.
Dragonball z logic : we have pigman, talking turtle, dogman, cat that can transform. Very normal.

Akiras other works include a lot of high tech stuff, so, he wanted to inject some sci fi into his most popular work, and what better way than to continue on from the journey to the west with a journey into space. And linking the main character directly to space through his brothers arrival is very organic.
