The dubsteb record that Korn put out till this day is one of the most unique in the scene. No one had the courage to do what they did back in the day. I'm not that huge of a Korn fan, but that was a very very very ballsy move, have to respect them for it. Their last 2 albums were very very good!
Korn’s pretty much always been part of my life.. I started listening to them at 8 years old.. got into playing guitar at 16 because of Korn.. also bought an Ibanez because of Korn and still at 35 years old listening to Korn.
WIthout David on drums theres no shot. That man has so much groove and funk in his fills. Yeah they replaced him with guys who are good at drums and can hit the skins hard, but they dont hold a candle to David. Just listen to any new KoRn song without david and compare it to "Its On" on follow the leader. The man is so underrated.
@@JanoyCresva I actually kind of agree. Luzier is a fine drummer, but there is something about his playing that lacks the "feel" of David's playing to me and it's evident when I hear the tracks with David on it compared to the ones that don't. I don't really know how to explain it.
KoRn have never really been a...heavy band though lol. Pantera, Killswitch Engage, Megadeth, now those bands can be heavy but to me KoRn has never really ever been a "metal" band.
Fields relapsed an walked away that’s why he left an David got to big headed an conflict started but aside that it would be cool for old line up but don’t see it happening
Agree 100% it was such a darker album, heavy in most aspects. I'm lucky I got to see them play a few songs from it a few years ago for the anniversary. Being an ATV Off-road Fury kid, it was sick seeing Here To Stay live.
I saw KoRn live in 2022 and the band Helmet opened up for them, KoRn put on an amazing show like usual and I have seen some BIG bands live like Black Sabbath, Pantera, Metallica, Slayer, Deftones, and Marilyn Manson, but IDK if I have ever seen a crowd so pumped up to see a band live ever. Sadly, Untouchables is an underrated KoRn album but it shouldn't be! They got screwed over on that album and it leaked to Napster about 3 months before it even hit store shelves! To say KoRn got F**ked over on that album would be an understatement!!!
😂what are you on about ? You talk like you know something. Untouchables is regarded as their most successful album. People bandy the word understand too much. It’s just your opinion.
I legitimately don't understand how people like that album, it's the most mediocre thing ever. All the songs are dull and empty except like 2-3 of them.
RAY vs DAVID (again) It seems like some ppl struggle to understand that two drummers can be both excellent but very different. KoRn with Ray are a different band. Still great, but different. David was (sometimes) minimalistic and had (sometimes) bizarre / unconventional ideas and - ultimately - it was all about the groove. I'd say strange / funky. Ray is super-technical and powerful, and he likes to fill all spaces, if you noticed. He is a proper technical-metal drummer, whereas David was somewhat a fish out of the water, and together with the other members they created a very unique sound. Honestly, I like both versions of Korn... but there is something, especially in records like Follow the Leader and Issues, that Ray can't or doesn't want to imitate. He changes the style into something more squared, metal, structured and (often) complex. If you guys don't hear it, I don't have the vocabulary to explain it in other words. I love Ray, BTW. He is a great drummer and he loves playing and when I see that his joy feels contagious. Peace
Definitely one of my favorites from beginning to end listen to the instrumental version its here on YT fkng amazing this weekend im watching the encounter dvd especially cause they play Move on from koRn3. Great fkng song
Not the first time Head has advertised the next album as the heaviest in years haha. He wasn't wrong when he said it before The Serentity of Suffering came out in 2016, and The Nothing kicked ass too in 2019. So he's most likely telling the truth. Can't wait.
Yes, I'm waiting for new KoRn album. I thought that The Serenity Of Suffering and Nothing was pretty heavy for KoRn. I've been a Metalhead for 16 years. KoRn has made many great albums imo.
I'll be 29 in June. It's so crazy seeing my favorite bands, movies, etc, celebrating their 25-30 years! Truly unreal, but I'm so glad to see them still around. I love the branching that Johnathan and the band have always done. If it weren't for them being so open-minded and adventurous, we would've never gotten the Kim Dracula or Linking Park features. And those are killer!! I was huge into dubstep in my teens, so I loved their Totality album. Skrillex was THE dubstep artist back in the day, so seeing the guys at the top of their perspective genres, clashing into a hard af metal dubstep album was hype. Can't wait for new Korn!
Well Head said "heaviest IN YEARS" and not "heaviest EVER". TSOS and The Nothing had some of their heaviest moments and songs ever so I have trust in what he says. Of course it's a cliché by a heavy band to say it, but Head knows his stuff.

Hiatus still officially. Unofficially i think he is gone for good. Maybe some contractual obligations prevent from firing him yet. Korn has been in the studio with Ra Diaz.
@@northtimo666it’s a good question. One would assume it’s taking a while because of touring and possibly the return of Fieldy. I even obtained an autograph poster at one of the Korn merch tables at the show and everyone signed it but Ra. It could be that Fieldy is working on new Korn material but just isn’t touring. Who knows for sure. Time will tell. Still happy to see these guys making music. My favorite band of all time.

He has had a long run of heavy touring and he might want to retire at this point. The last Korn album i liked was TALITM.Since then i haven't really enjoyed their music and they always say the next album is heavy every time they make a new album but i can't really tell the difference.
"That dubstep record" was 2011's The Path of Totality and it only featured dubstep artists and was still Korn. That's one of their best records and would still be full of great songs whether it incorporated those dubstep elements or not. "Get Up" is the most Korn-sounding Korn song ever.
I love your perspective cause I grew up listening to and loving korn but untouchables is where I started to fall off from the in all do respect I guess it started to loose that raw hardcore intense emotional feel but that’s just my opinion I still listen to every new album with high hopes can’t wait to hear this one and thanks for the update
I would be really happy if they leaned a little more into hip hop/ rap on this next album like they did on Follow the Leader. It’s been a while. That being said, I ended up really liking Requiem. WAY more than I thought I was going to.
bro, i swear i have had this deja vu before because they say this every time they're interviewed about a new/upcoming album loll (except for that dubstep one)
Saw them a few days ago at Good Things Destroy in Melbourne, Australia. Absolutely incredible performance. Seeing Jonathan playing bagpipes to kick off Shoots & Ladders was a dream come true. Hope they come back next year 🙏
Korn is one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time but they always say their next album will be heavier than previous album. I hope this one actually is.
KoRn has always been a band that's always expanding and experimenting new sounds and pushing the envelope everytime, but I gotta say as successful and most money they put into Untouchables... Coming from a HUGE KoRn fan it wasn't as heavy as most people portray it to be. Ya there single like Here to Stay was but look at there soft ones like Hollow Life, Alone I Break, and even No One's There... There somewhat dark, but not heavy. A lot of people felt like KoRn lost their heavyness. I'm ngl Take A Look In The Mirror was definitely back to there roots and imo there heaviest I heard ever from the band cause Jon went ham in basically all the songs screaming his head off, but KoRn I give credit where credit is due always evolving and still sound AMAZING after all these years!
Every band from the past 20 yrs aways say "This is our heaviest album ever, this album will blow people's minds, this is the best album we've written, this album has more thrash and heavy riffs going back to our metal roots" ....and when the album comes out it ain't all that.
They change the whole game, seniority tells a lot and they have been trough ups and downs like many .. if you dont like it .. there are tons of bands where haters can go and heal their jealousy. Ko®️N !
Didn't head say this about Korn several months ago? I wonder how they can tour and still make a new album? I hope it's a combination of untouchables and Take a Look in the mirror. I'm ready for it 🤘
Been a fan since FTL yes they need to take their time making this record just imagine releasing the album same day as Gta6 haa ill be soo happy exploring vice city while listening to the new album

Same here, but it was 1997 and I was around 12 I believe!

Korn and Limp Bizkit in the late 90s is/was some of the best music, imo
I saw both those bands on the same bill in 99!! Sick!!!
Korn has been saying that for the past several releases now. Come on! Bring it!
TSOS and The Nothing were heavy though!
Dude. Untouchables is my favorite album of all time. It was my introduction to Korn.
Exciting news yet still Follow the leader best album made!
I would be really happy if they leaned a little more into hip hop/ rap on this next album like they did on Follow the Leader. It’s been a while. That being said, I ended up really liking Requiem. WAY more than I thought I was going to.
I hope they go back to the style of their original albums and I hope the songs have explicit titles and lots of swearing like the good old days
In Head we trust
🤣🤣🤘🏼🤘🏼
Yes yes yes! I'm here for it.
Yes! My time machine worked!
Bands always say that but....hope they pull it off...love korn.
I think they will. The Nothing and TSOS were heavy.
This gets me excited 🙌🏼
Never realized that you had a mullet! Fuck yeah 🤘
bro, i swear i have had this deja vu before because they say this every time they're interviewed about a new/upcoming album loll (except for that dubstep one)
Saw them a few days ago at Good Things Destroy in Melbourne, Australia. Absolutely incredible performance.
Seeing Jonathan playing bagpipes to kick off Shoots & Ladders was a dream come true.
Hope they come back next year 🙏
Can't wait to listen to it.
They always say their next album "is going to be the heaviest" but it's never true. I think they forgot what the word heavy actually means.
He said "Heaviest in years" not "heaviest ever" though. TSOS and The Nothing were really heavy for Korn.
@@northtimo666 but they allways say this and have been for years lol
@ Yeah they do say it’s their heaviest album, but what Head meant it is their heaviest in years. So it might be heavy in terms of TSOS.
Korn is one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time but they always say their next album will be heavier than previous album. I hope this one actually is.
Я БЕЗУМНО ЖДУ ЭТОТ АЛЬБОМ!!!!! Я УЖЕ ЗНАЮ, ЧТО ОН ПОКОРИТ ВЕСЬ МИР!!! I LOVE KoЯn
I remember when I first heard them in Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. Awesome scene too! Saw them Family Values 98 and Summer Sanitarium 2000!
Their first album is their heaviest.
@@sugarsoreTo many people and yes yours, my personal favorite is Life is Peachy.
I wish David & fieldy was involved.
Davids drumming hasn't been good in his projects since Korn, he has zero talent now
Unfortunately David can’t drum like he used to.
Can't believe it 30yrs!
I just hope that it sounds good
Korn says this same shit with every album. Always gonna be heavier, but never quite as heavy as the debut album.
TSOS and The Nothing were really heavy for Korn.
The original Adema needs a come back now
Adema rocked!
I wish they would release their 1993 demo tape too.
Just bought a Korn shirt because it's the only band shirt at my local Walmart lol I don't really listen to them but they're cool man
Every band from the past 20 yrs aways say "This is our heaviest album ever, this album will blow people's minds, this is the best album we've written, this album has more thrash and heavy riffs going back to our metal roots" ....and when the album comes out it ain't all that.
BRING BACK FIELDY
That's up to Fieldy if he's ready to return. I hope he's in a good place and would love to hear that he is in the studio recording with them.
Korn setting it off since 94
Love Korn but they say this literally every time they're working on a new album 😅
Same with Slipknot as well and their last album was garbage. lol
He said heaviest in years not heaviest "ever".
I'm ready for it 🤘
Without David it will never be great again.
Exactly
But David can’t play like he did either. Time to move past that era. It was amazing, but it would not be the same if he came back.
They say this every time on every new album and it always fails to live up to the hype
Been a fan since FTL yes they need to take their time making this record just imagine releasing the album same day as Gta6 haa ill be soo happy exploring vice city while listening to the new album
JERSEY. NEW JERSEY. SAY IT BRIAN. SAY OUR STATE NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA! You just mentioned the BEST college radio station on the damn planet, WSOU! Live it, learn it, blast it! Also, in Jersey LOL!
My goal still want to see korn so bad
They say this every time they come out with a new album lmao
At least it's always true
@@superburrito5635don’t get it twisted, I love Korn. Actually wearing a Korn shirt right now. Just funny
But Head is usually correct and pretty truthful.
Hopefully we're going back to the "Take a Look in The mirror" and "The Serenity of suffering" sound, maybe mix the 2 sounds together?
TSOS type of album would rule!
Can’t wait!!
An amazing year coming up next year new KoRn and Deftones albums 🤘
