If you are none malay then you are a 2nd class citizen, even if you are moslem & not malay then you are still a 2nd class citizen unless you have to be malay & moslem the you are 1st class citizen. Those who ignore this then good luck & find yourself 👍😂

    Thank u PMX for taking our country to the right side of history. We have wasted enough time already and have plenty to catch up with and while we wasted our time we also wasted and lost a lot of money and credibility and national prestige. Let's not waste anymore time because we have a lot of catching up to do and must avoid the situation where Malaysia can spiral downhill to economic ruin and destruction of our whole social fabric.

      The interest rate is high in the US, leading to capital outflow of Malaysia, and depreciation of Malaysia currency, resulting in constant inflation. All this because of relying on dollar as international trade currency. Malaysia knows this!

    Malaysia is a sovereign nation that should decide on bold actions that will benefit itself. Nations are increasingly shunning the US dollar and more and more of them are attracted to join Brics. Malaysia should do likewise and unite with other nations, especially those in Brics, in a multipolar world.

BRICS also discussed who should be into BRICS+ since some many countries applied. No All-In, Turkey as Nato has difficult, when Argentine / Saudi given up memberships make difficult to be members in future. Vietnam-Russia bases against Philippines-USA bases. Myanmar civil war. The way forward is to allign with as many trade blocs and pacts as possible and not just stick to a one sided narrative. He has a very childish view about how the global economy works and how it impacts small countries such as Malaysia.

      It is a good move not to use usd everytime we trade with other nation. Every time we trade with other nation, we need to pay fees to merica for no reason. What has merica got to do with our trade wit south africa for example? nothing. But merica force us to trade using their usd and pay them currency exchange fee, twice somemore. That alone will increase the cost unnecessarily.

    Malaysia should continue its global non-alignment stance and advocate for its interests within the ASEAN region. Why should Malaysia align itself with a specific movement? Indonesia and Singapore have opted out of BRICS, which is exclusively named after its five founding states. Malaysia's entry would not alter the BRICS name and would place it under the influence of major powers. Malaysia can only prosper when it is stable in domestic politics and has a balance of foreign policies. Joining BRICS would be the wrong move with unnecessary cost!

  • @ptaeiy
    @ptaeiy หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    It was very risky. Now, it's a total disaster since BRICS+ has frozen admitting new members for an unspecified time. It only enhanced my previous belief that the move to apply to join BRICS+ was done hastily without much groundwork and preparations. Normally, public announcements such as joining BRICS+ that is fraught with risk and carry huge cost-benefit consequences, would have been made when the deal has already been done, so as to avoid being caught in no-mans land such as Malaysia finding itself now.
    Why a disaster? In the high stake economic and geopolitical global game, Malaysia has showed its hand to the world on where it stand as to the West and Global South. We are inviting economic repercussions from the west without getting any benefit siding with BRICS+ block. Foolhardy. Do better PMX.

    Thus, the 76.5 metric tons of gold added in 2023 represented a significant 49.8% rise in Singapore's gold reserves.

    • @ronaldphoong
      @ronaldphoong หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably the accumulation of gold is due to more options in a market for trade. The dollar won't just go away immediately and trading with gold is providing more options. What is reality, is many countries view today that a balanced economy requires many options for trade. The USD is monopoly by nature and well, everyone who has experienced monopoly situations will look at alternatives for trade. I believe while BRICS sets the precedence to have alternatives for trade. In the future there will be more options like BRICS and come with better cooperations. Everyone talks about USD hegemony. In the past, monopoly deals were a practice by most governments. Where there are monopoly minds, there will be others to work towards open concepts for more opportunities. 🤔

  • @hailyrizzo5428

    Interesting. But with so many countries glamouring to join BRICS it raises the question as to who is in charge. How will decisions be made? One member country one vote? You mean Malaysia with 30 million population and GDP 400 billion has equal say in the organization as China population 1.4 billion and GDP 18 trillion? That's the problem when an international organization is too big with too many members. Look at the UN. It gets bogged down into ineffectiveness with multiple interests pulling it in different directions.

      Malaysia wants to join BRICS bcos the PM does his homework and knows the economic benefits. Malaysia is an emerging economy and will match Singapore economic prosperity. Singapore relies on US for economic prosperity. That's why S'pore has a US$60 billion Federal Reserve Liquidity currency swap with US (If u don't know what is this, that's your homework 😂). Now that dedolarization is accelerating, S'pore is facing slow economic growth and stagnant. M'sia is rising at a faster rate, has lower labor cost and with China's help in port development along the Malacca Strait, S'pore port will face serious challenges. In addition, the cost of living in Spore has increased tremendously making economic growth to slow dwn. Do you know that about 35 - 40% of the global trade in Asia pass thru' Malacca Strait? When M'sia establish an entre port at Malacca, it will take business away from S'pore. It worries Spore!! So, joining BRICS will accelerate M'sia's economic prosperity bcos China is the world's largest manufacturing export passing thru the Malacca Strait!!
