She only contacted me when she wanted to go away for a weekend, fancy dinner or day out... She spoke to her ex behind my back and would make me feel like I was insecure... I've been in a relationship for 3 yrs. The 1st year was wonderful. He was honest with me & always has been. He had just ended a long relationship, I had also just ended a long term relationship, so neither of us were in a hurry to commit completely After a year he was not well & discovered he had a possibly life limiting illness. Things have changed since this problem arose. I have tried so hard to be supportive & told him I will be there for him, but he keeps going distant & believes there is no future for us. He keeps telling me he doesn't want to hurt me. He doesn't contact me for weeks & so I try to reach out to him. He then makes excuses like "I'm so busy at work" or I haven't been well. So I'm supportive again & wanting him to feel better. We've been seeing each other less & less often, but when he does come around to see me it is as before, he is kind, attentive, he takes me to special places & to see sunsets. It's feels so good & he tells me he is able to relax with me. Then after he will stay in touch for a week or so, then suddenly disappears & I feel like a booty call. Then I have to initiate, but sometimes he feels distant, even when chatting, I get one word responses. He tells me there's no future for him & he now is not into having a real relationship, but doesn't want to hurt me. I don't know how to persuade him that I will always be there for him & that we can still have a great relationship, in whatever time he has to live. I keep reminding him time is precious & we are wasting so much time, not being together & sharing a happy life It is do frustrating sometimes, but feel I will be deserting him, if I tell him it's not working for me & I have to move on with my life. He is the love of my life

When I attempt to discuss my concerns of course it’s my insecurity! I said to him it’s weird (and I’ve been through the same betrayal before, so red flag). He claims that he takes the phone into the bathroom so it’s not stolen lol. But I’m literally sitting right there! I’m an empath on top of this. So needless to say since I decided to ask him about some of these issues that bother me, particularly the phone, we are now over one month no contact.
