Krugerrand Investment Gold Coin - The Trailblazer

Gold coin which singlehandedly created a whole new worldwide market comes from South Africa. Krugerrand has somewhat controversial history, but last two decades it grows in prominence and popularity.
The first Krugerrand was brought to the market in July of 1967. By 1980, it comprised 90 percent of the worldwide gold coin market.
Today, Krugerrand has a reputable competition, but is still among most sought for investment vehicles in the world when gold is concerned.

The Sovereign isn’t an investment coin, it was in circulation and is currency (£1).
Britannia came after the Kruggerand as they were minted in 1987.
Do a google search before writing comments...

The right answer is: because he's speaking abount 1 oz. investment coins, and Sovereign contains about 0.20 oz. of pure gold.
