How many hours have you played it so far? I’m probably 10HRs into it. Playing on a 5700X3D/7800XT using the Intel upscaling I’m hovering around 60FPS without frame generation 4K upscaling and I think the scale factor is set to 66% or something like that so just above 1440P. Game looks good and it’s fun to play. I did download a few mods to rebalance the game to my liking and resolve the issues with enemies. Thing is though… I’m 42 so I played the original game. It was a rough mess and was never fixed by the developers. I still loved it. Nearly 2 decades later people were stilling playing it and the mods really transformed it into something amazing. Likely this is going to follow a similar path. The developers are dealing with a war that’s not going well so I really don’t hold any of this against them. More important shit is happening around them.
Whats funny is it doesnt matter if iv got it on low or high its like its stuck at 30fps even tho its not. Was getting 80fps on low until i turned off mouth smoothing and acceleration then it tanked to 30 for whatever reason... (epic settings literally takes it to 3fps and kills the game)
3600 processor cannot handle this game .... U get too much stutter what ever update comes.. U need atleast AMD Ryzen 9 5950X or above processor to run with good FPS
You don't they switched engine and completely fcked their entire game performance since it was not made for ue5 to begin with none of standard optimization techniques were performed, you cannot even turn of nanite and lumen, give them 6 years after release and they will fix it as any other 2024 devs
Light flickering in game or whole picture even blacks? The latter shows that VRR is getting out of range, i.e. fps drops below the minimum VRR range and turns LFC on/off. Disable Freesync/Gsync to fix this.
@ I keep the game locked to 80 bc it’s the generally lowest stable. Sometimes there’s dips in the 70s. But this will be happening even standing still, with steady even frames when it happens.
I had that too and it seems to be fixed now with this update put in the notes they did fixes with shadows and lightings aswell. They even said to fix light flickering. Mines all gone now
@@IcedFREELANCER so after some testing yes the g-sync/frame gen issue. I hate the smeariness of upscaling so was using DLAA with frame gen. Choice seems to be between using the vrr OR using frame gen for the quality I want. Picture vs smoothness I guess. After some tweaks it seems the nicest compromise for me for me is vrr off with tsr ultra set to about 90% render.
I think this game will be hot garbage till at least patch 2.5 or 3 at this point lmao. This game was only basically half-asses when it came out. They have all the missions, side missions, but yet the game still feels very empty and boring and repetitive, pointless. :/ Damn UE5 games. Welp, at least Silent Hill 2 remake wasn't as bad as this, but still UE5 GARBAGE performance and ghosting crapola that relies on DLSS like everything else these days. I've been long tired of these shenanigans makes the devs lazy relying on stupid upscaling + TAA = blurry mess anymore if you want to run at 60fps... :c
Another good game released in a terrible state, and that, maybe, we will be able to enjoy after a year of its release.

I get a terrible flickering. Like the lighting in the whole world kinda strobe effect sometimes type deal
