im here 9 YEARS later and Im still trying to learn some of the chords I couldn't learn the first 50 times I tried. LOL God bless you Jamal and Arlene. I like how your wife responds to your chords. The more "gospel" or jazzy your chords are, the more rifts and runs she puts in her approach.

That was an unexpected surprise. Most people usually give their love ones way too much credit when it comes to doing certain things but your wife really put it down. Her range is crazy and she hit all them notes so smooth. Yall obviously met at church because she has to be the worship service leader. She truly has a gift. God Bless!

Jamal man, I love the ministry. You made a believer out of me when I bought 10 of your DVDs a few years ago. I knew absolutely nothing on the piano but with a lot of prayer and guidance from the DVDs I am now involved in church music events and as a result of your ministry I teach youth how to approach music ministry at their church. Keep doing what you are doing because it is blessing so many on my side of the world in New Zealand. Blessings to you and BIG love to your wife and her BIG voice!

OMG! This was probably the best 40 minutes I ever spent. I got a lesson along with some ministering. You guys are a great team. BEAUTIFUL! You better speak it Arlene! This was a lesson not only for playing keys, but a lesson for musicians on how to actually flow in the service. I don't know everything, and I'm not that old either, but I try to tell the younger generation of musicians to keep it simple. Everyone does too much then everyone gets lost.

i really respect your talent/style - when you talked about transposing ..hahaha.. made me laugh coz at age 11 one day when playing in church.. i learned that lesson.. never looked back. i can't play now as life hasn't offered me a chance to praise god through a piano again in like..years.. but i've quit my job recently, to chase music ./piano development again. with my last paycheck, i'm going to buy one, a keyboard..no where to keep it hahaa..as i'll probably be living on the streets..but screw it. ..let God figure that out..not my problem. i'll park up next to any free wifi spot and watch some of your early videos to hone my skills without compromising my own flavour.. keep up the good work

I am so glad that you are preaching that because a lot of cats don't get that praise and worship songs need air for the singers. they seem to forget that they are back up for the singers not in front of the singers I have even found out that even on guitar two note harmonies are useful
