The beauty of the VW coolant system is that it self bleeds using the coolant bottle. Just fill the coolant bottle up, take it for a drive until it's warm and you'll notice the coolant ball drop it's level and you'll need to fill it up again. Fill it and drive again.

ND! Almost in Canada, like me. Pro tip; do your block heater, oil pan heater, cabin heater, coolant circulation heater, command start and whatever else in the summer! Sweet gear shifter! ;) Love the GTI content

Omg, no way!!! That's crazy !! I just moved from South dakota, and I was only 32 miles from North dakota. I'm so burnt. I've been following Christian for 3 years, and I started watching him while I lived in South dakota, lmao. It looks like I'm making a trip back this summer 😆 oh and btw it's so cold up there, and the winters I swear lasted 6 months lol
At least it feels like it.. drops down into the negatives for weeks at a time. The coldest I experienced while living out there was -34 with the wind chill at -42, so it gets pretty extreme. Oh, also, it's windy all the time, and that cold air goes right through your soul. 😆 But I will say that at night the sky is so beautiful and you can see stars you've never seen before. That's what I miss most, haha.
Not sure about military, but I grew up in Minot and I’ve never had my vehicle inspected. Just gotta pay registration every year. I don’t even go to the dmv anymore, I just pay online and they mail me my new registration card and stickers

Aren't the bottles full strength and your supposed to mix 50/50 distilled water? I bought some g13 from the VW dealer and they said they were full strength...
When in the summer are you going to be in ND? The Red River VW club has a car show every year on the last Saturday of July. You guys should check it out if you're here in time. Also, Check out Mouse River VW Club and Red River VW Club on facebook, both are great VW clubs in ND and there's a lot of overlap between them

you can actually fill the resevior bottle to the rim and let the car idle with the bottle cap open, let the engine run until the fan kicks
