Thank you for the kind words. I wasn't expecting that much positive feedback under every single video of this performance (and i've seen them all at this point).
Gotta give it to my girlfriend and friends for sticking with me through hours of lifting crowdsurfers during the other bands that day to get a nice spot. A few hours before this a 14yr old got to play Faith on guitar for Limp Bizkit. Which we also got to witness. It boosted our morale to stay as close to the front as possible to get a better chance of getting picked out.
Also gotta mention that Oli was the chillest dude ever. When the monitor technicians were gearing me up, Oli appeared behind me, and spoke some nice words like "you're gonna kill it" and "have fun" and stuff like that, just generally calming things. He didn't for 1 moment act as if hes too good to meet a fan.
And yes i can confirm i play in a band called Obscure Reality. I'm also part of a project called Plainscape for anyone interested.
Words cannot describe how happy i am for you. Was watching this with a smile on my face the whole time

I read that oli was given this opportunity to fill in for a vocalist (can’t remember the band) from the crowd and that’s how it started
They need to stop doing it. We pay to see Ollie sing, and half the time he can't be bothered to do that. We got some random 12 year old girl on stage for this song at Resu. Lazy.

This was in Dessel, Belgium, and I watched this live. It was fucking amazing, the crowd loved him. Was right at the barrier for it, absolutely insane. Oli asked like 7 times if the kid really knew the words and could scream, he was cautious af lmfao

This guy is a friend of some friends of mine, I don't know him very well personally, but he has his own metal band as well called Obscure Reality

the guy they pulled up is actually the vocalist for a small band called "obscure reality" and while they only have 5 songs they are very much worth checking out!

best thing about the performance: saying 'Graspooop! Stel me niet teleur!' right before launching into an epic performance! (means: Don't disappoint me Graspop! - cheeky bastard 😀)
the fan in finland at provinssi festival on the 28th of june was also insane. his growls were so good and he was such a natural with engaging the crowd. you could tell oli was impressed.

Also happened in Switzerland at Greenfield Festival! A guy named Peter sang and growled the whole Antivist and Olly wasnt even singing! I was in the front row and had the best night of my life!
I was there the Guy was just next to me and I had been training antivist for 2 weeks I was sad that I didn’t get picked but im not sure I could have topped that

It shows how hard that is to carry a whole full show. Full off screams when you see this guy scream for one song and he is out of breath. Even though well done.
Saw BMTH on Rock for People couple weeks ago...there was a guy with sign saying that he wabts to sing the Antivist, so Oli took him on stage....and it was soooooo awful and we were all cringing...Oli joked about how at least the guy tried, but it was soooo bad
