He had the best game of his career, statistically speaking, he kept calm and directed the offenselike a general directs his troops. Even to the point of calling the final scoring play himself! victory isn't defined by the number of points separating the teams, but simply by who has more points. the exact same logic used to label A&M as the victors last year.
I think everyone can agree we in the SEC fan base have an axe to grind with Johnny football. He can potentially upset all of our seasons this year. Just thankful Saban and the boys pulled it out without an upsetting our hopes for this year.

The last time A&M had the ball and were behind by less than 14 was with 7:30 to go in the 2nd quarter. It was a lot less of an escape than it looked. Johnny never had the ball with a chance to tie or go ahead the ENTIRE second half.

Pardon me. A&M and Alabama have played a total of 6 times. Bama has won 4 times, Texas A&M twice. That doesn't sound tied to me. So if your gonna turn around and say , "Oh I am talking about in the SEC....doesn't wash with me. The Tide has still beat Texas A&M more times! Deal with it!
If we are talking about the SEC you can't say Alabama is better than an A&M to the only played twice and its 1-1 and don't you forget we are the only team to beat Alabama in the past 21 months
