Love this song. Grew up in Tucson AZ where you ONLY heard country, then moved to the east coast and got introduced to rock, rap and R&B. This is an awesome blend, genre's are a thing, but good music is good music.
When he says me and Jack Daniels have a history he is referring to Jack Daniels master distiller named Nearest Green who was a black slave. Nearest created the formula for Jacks whiskey that has not changed since then. The green and Daniels families are still friends to this day.
