It's much more pleasant to listen to the guy than to the girl, but not because of the content, that's equally good and interesting. Electric Callboy is one of the most fun metal bands out there right now. I love my classic 80`s metal but EC really brings a smile on my face every fucking time. And even with their darker songs, like parasite or mindreader, they are just so good and versatile. As a german I´m biased but for me they are right at the top of metal mixed with other genres. Btw, this colaberation was my reason to dig deeper in the Babymetal rabbit hole and while there a lot of songs of them that aren`t my thing, there aer a lot of that I love, like headbanger, monochrome and some others.

I think WWE choose that song because of the German Band Electric Callboy for the Bash in Berlin (Germany). The style of the song is classic electric callboy.

Electric Callboy actually got me into Babymetal with this song. Had known Babymetal's name for years but never listened to them. When they released this collab back in May, I had just seen Electric Callboy at Sonic Temple (They are also a great band live). Ever since, I have predominately been listening to Babymetal. Since you haven't seen much of their recent stuff, then you need to see Monochrome, but I'll suggest doing a double reaction. The first one being the Live @ PIA Arena 2023 and then the Piano ver. on The First Take. Electric Callboy is indeed a German band, and as Grington has already mentioned, this is definitely more in their style as far as the instruments go. They mix Techno/EDM with metal and they just have fun doing it. They take the music serious, but do not take themselves serious. They also just released a behind the scenes video for Ratatata. For each time they broke through the wall, that was the one and only take they could do. To get started on them I would suggest We Got the Moves or Hypa Hypa.

Also, it is a common misconception that the name BABYMETAL refers to their ages at the beginning. According to Koba, the founder of BABYMETAL, he came up with the name when he conceived of the idea for blending the genres of metal and J-pop, before he even knew who was going to be in the group or what their ages would be. It actually has a double meaning. First, it refers to that blend of genres that came to be called "kawaii metal," as it was a newborn (or baby) genre of music. The second meaning is a play on words, as the word "bebi" (which is pronounced almost like "baby") means "heavy" in Japanese, so the name is a literal word play on the phrase "heavy metal."

Fun fact: the second "Are you ready?" growl, the depper growl, is Momometal from BABYMETAL (the newest member, who replaced Yui). She also combines with Kevin from Electric Callboy on the growled "Everybody(s)" at the end.

I've been in a wall of death at a BABYMETAL show (not on purpose, I thought I was in a safe spot, lol), and they are insane!

12:30 The name BABYMETAL has nothing to do with their ages, the name refers to their style of music. Their mixing of Metal with Pop, Hip-Hop, Ska, Techno, etc, accompanied with dance choreography, it's a completely new genre of music created by them, a newborn style of Metal, hence the name BABY metal.
