I love this song. His voice is sublime. Amazing how he shifts in and out of this beautiful falsetto. It almost sounds like two different singers. His falsetto is so clean and beautiful but his voice is so rugged

For those unaware, the bassist, John Power, is a fantastic songwriter in his own right and formed Cast when The La's split up. "All Change" is an absolutely superb album. I don't know who wouldn't know that, seeing as you're here watching a La's video, but whoever you are, you're welcome ☺️

    • @kevanbrown7620

I loved Cast's album All Change it had so many great tracks on it, Alright, Finetime, Sandstorm and the timeless Walkaway which is a beautiful song. I was in my mid 20s in the middle of the '90s when so called Britpop kicked in with the likes of Oasis, Blur, Stereophonics, Ocean Colour Scene, Suede, Pulp, Kula Shaker, The Verve, The Charlatans, James and Cast who seemed to get lost because of Oasis and other big band's, but i remember buying the cd All Change when it came out and it was 1 of my favourite's. I'm going to have to get the cd again, I'm going to put it in my music library on my phone but i love to have the actual cd. I have hundreds from my favourite era 1960s and early '70s like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Bob Dylan, Donovan, Simon and Garfunkel, The Byrds, Them, The Animals, The Yardbirds, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Love, Velvet Underground, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, Traffic, The Doors, The Zombies, The Band, The Small Faces, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, David Bowie, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Elvis Costello, Blondie, The Strangler's, The Jam, The Police, The Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen, Eurythmics, New Order, The Cure, The Stone Roses, Happy Monday's, The Charlatans, James, Talking Heads, Primal Scream, R.E.M. and lots of other bands, but thanks for reminding about All Change, should be in everyone's collection. Cheers 👍

I saw several early 90s La’s gigs and love their songs and sound much better than Oasis (who I also saw early on) and the Smiths who I saw in the late 80’s. The La’s had their own groovy, sparse, “naked” skiffle-ish sound that few bands ever attempt because it’s not easy. The La’s had power without Noel Gallagher’s Gibson Les Paul and Marshall amps at 11. Noel in fact ranks the La’s in his top ten albums of all time. I like Oasis but LOVE THE LA’S!!!
