He had such a brilliant delivery and timing, just how he used his hands, body and facial expression. The best comedy actor of Friends imo. I've battled addiction myself for 20 years ( mostly opiates) and it always saddens me to see people die because of it. Addiction is such a bitch. I had a tough time in my teens. We had to move from one place to another every 6 months because dad had gambling addiction, went bankrupt and we lost our house. Then he got a serious heart attack and couldn't work which broke him and he started drinking heavily. All these changings of schools didn't help either and I got bullied at one of the high school. Mom was in shock after everything and she and dad were suicidal. She spent the days on the couch strung out like a zombie on heavy psych medication, always lying in the same position. She would even end up sleeping there and being in the same position all the time ended up having effect on her ribs and lung so she had to go to the hospital for that. The home was just filled with so much sadness. At this time Friends was at its height and such a shining light for me. For a moment it made me forget. I loved Chandler and repeated his jokes endlessly to mom just to get a smile from her. When I succeded it meant EVERYTHING to me. I felt I could make her happy again. Addiction is a nightmare to deal with. It developes into this big greedy monster who is always hungry and feeds on your self worth, soul and body often leaving you as a shell of a man you used to be.
Happy that you are still here even if it must be an everyday battle. Yeah always sad when someone loses a battle 💔 it makes it even more impressive and brilliant that he could play that role perfectly knowing now what he went through at that time.
Friends would’ve never been the masterful sitcom it became without Chandler’s humor and gentleness. Matthew Perry always timed it perfectly for his lines and his delivery was spot on every time. “You left the toilet seat up you bastard” is my favorite Chandler line! Thanks for everything Matthew, you will always be our friend. Rest in peace. ❤

This breaks my heart watching this video. Matthew looked so well and happy here and was before his addiction to pills started. Although I think he had already really started enjoying alcohol. I still can't get my head around the fact he's not here anymore and that the famous 'Six' will never be together again. He brought so much joy to so many people. I hope to God he realised that. I wasn't born in that time. I watched Friends since January to early October 2023, this month. I watched one episode per day. Friends has changed a part of my life. Everytime when i feel stress about school or something, watching Friends makes me feel better. Now, when I found out that Matthew Perry died yesterday, i was devastated 😭 I couldn't sleep enough today. I coudn't even focus in exam today thinking about that. I feel like I've lost someone who is close with me. Sorry for my bad English, i just want to say what I feel about his death. It is very hard to move on than i thought 😭😭💔

Yesterday morning, as soon as I opened up the internet on my computer, I read the tragic news in the feed. I was surprised I didn't cry. Now, looking at this, tears are running down my cheeks and I'm sobbing. The cast are so sweet to each other! Also, Matthew is really cute in this.

I only ever knew them from Friends so always assumed they were like that, but now I see the cast is really chilled and quiet and almost shy, it brings me so much more respect for how different they portray themselves in the show. My generation has extremely enjoyed some of the best US TV series in the 90s, more so "Friends." I generally don't find many shows that truly provide comedy that makes you laugh not because it is trying so hard to make you laugh, but just simply funny while providing lessons to certain social and life issues. And, indeed, Matthew Perry, who plays Chandler Bing, truly made "Friends" so alive through his wit and sarcastic humor. As a fan of the show, it is sad to know that one of its beloved characters passed away too soon, especially at a time when he seemed to be successfully winning his battle with his own demons. They say that the most successful comedians are also those who have many sad experiences in life. Eerily, his last instagram post is also the same place he died. May he rest in peace and may his legacy of making us laugh reminds us that life is too short and as he wants to be remembered, the best way to live life well is "Love well, Live well and Want to help others". So I first read about Mathew Perry's death the morning after he passed, as I was having my coffee and went to my usual news page, I was floored, I could not believe it, my mouth literally dropped. I watched Friends when it originally aired and many more times through the years. I was again binging few months ago, I don't think I can continue completing it again/anymore. It will never be the same or feel the same. I was rooting for Matthew to become well and happy, so this is really sad. 😣
So I first read about Mathew Perry's death the morning after he passed, as I was having my coffee and went to my usual news page, I was floored, I could not believe it, my mouth literally dropped. His death is so sad, for he was on such a good path of getting clean and seemed to accomplish it, even writing a book, aside from being such a loved actor, Chandler Bing was the ultimate, could he Beee anymore amazing... Lol

He was just too cute and adorable 🥹 and to think that he was the youngest out of all the cast he probably got picked on many times (besides jennifer lol) as u can see in this video 😅 the way he said "WHAT!?" was just too adorable like a younger sibling that got annoyed by their older siblings 😖
