    Great video. I am a senior that plays PXG Gen 2XF, but also have a set of Srixon ZX4’s which are strong lofted machines. I prefer the feel of PXG, so need to try the 5’s to see if I can pick up some better launch and sit stats on my irons. Love your retail & golf set up, that is awesome. Keep up the good work.

    You have a great template for your channel with you as the tester. Very relatable for 99% of all golfers. Your swing and your scores put you in a high handicap bracket but the distance you hit the ball puts you in an elite category. Quite a contrast I’d say.

    Australian here, I bought the PXG Gen4 T and 0211 ST irons blind without any testing direct from USA. I'm an average 8hcp golfer who's played Mizuno, Srixon, Ping, Callaway and Titleist irons. The PXGs are the softest I've ever hit believe it or not.

    I love my Pxg gen 3 irons. And they perform extremely well for me in every sense including the right window, flight etc. Don’t see a need to upgrade soon as gains would be marginal if any. May wait till gen 6 or even 7 are out and then think about getting the previous generation. Had the driver and fairway and hybrid but have switched from those to brands and clubs that I much prefer and are also working extremely well. So no need to consider those for me either. I also have a different brand of wedges and putter all that are great and optimal for good results and performance. Think the pxg irons stand out from the rest of the range in terms of sound, feel etc. though some like mizuno come close too.

    • @stephenv5521
      @stephenv5521 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alysgolfstudio567 I had the Gen 2 driver a couple of years back, it looked similar to Ping but polar opposite in terms of feel, felt fantastic a muted thud like I have never felt before. What pxg driver did you have that 'felt' like a Ping?

    • @alysgolfstudio567
      @alysgolfstudio567 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stephenv5521 it was the pxg proto x. Had ping before though my best driver for me at least before those was the Taylor made m2. Now gaming the stealth and haven’t looked back. But you are right the pxg had a better muted sound than the ping. I now drive well and consistently with tight dispersion and minimal drop off with the stealth by comparison. Really wanted to like the pxg - including their fairways but regrettably did not work out that way (now gaming the callaway epic and more pleased with that too). No complaints or hesitation with their irons (gen 3).

  • @noonster55

    I like these kind of reviews, because I don't always hit it pure. I want to know what the misses look like. I play old school blades now, and I'm kinda getting old. I know what happens when I miss hit my 7 iron just a little. I loose 10 yards. My 7 iron has 35 degrees of loft. Old school. Golf is hard, even for a 1-3 handicap. I'll be 70 soon, I want to finally be able to shoot my age. Before it's too late. I love your studio...

      definitely soft, I love their irons!

  • @MLeung-vl7we
    @MLeung-vl7we ปีที่แล้ว

    Great approach. The masses are not pros. With the irons test, maybe the 20 shots should have been done randomly. After 10 warm-up shots, the next 10 should be a bit more consistent. And the big question, are those few yards gained worth 2x the price for a 90s golfter? Would the XPs be a better fit?

    • @embersliving
      @embersliving  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it depends on the player and wether or not you struggle with distance. Although the XP are slightly more forgiving, they are more de laughed, so if you already hit your irons far, I think the P are a better fit
