In this video I trek from Zubiri to Pamplona, 20K 6 hours. It started off great, but as the day went on and the heat came, the last hour coming into Pamplona my body had had it. Everything ached. Sore toe, shin splints, heat rash, blisters on palms from using trekking poles down the hill. I decided to take an extra day and rest. The heat and physical challenge is more than I imagined. I’m taking one day at a time.
I had my history book and wanted to go see the sights, but just didn’t have it in me and took care of my body instead. So many people hobble into Pamplona, foot care is a big thing. Along with Running of the Bulls, Hemingway, the Gothic citadel, walls, cathedral etc. an amazing city. I was able to capture some footage of walking around the area I was staying and also show the lifestyle of an Albergue.

Alaskan Pilgrim yes it wouldn’t be too hard to find places, it is just learning typical dishes I could have. Just couldn’t prob do dinners at some places. Someone said there you can do the pilgrim dinners by getting 2 first courses instead of the main and fruit for dessert too. Thank you!

Stinky, snooring, well ... it was her choice and anyway, she can always go to a hotel. All is basic... did she try our verduras, our menestras, our pochas or lentejas? Just answer after the commercials but I guess the answer is no.
It sounds like you said you were walking through a town called Viala, but I think it must have been Villava, a suburb of Pamplona.
I believe it was Viana.
@@alaskanpilgrim2099 Viana is on the Camino Francés, but it is about 80 km west of Pamplona.
Viana is different to Villava... and they are like 80 km apart.
Are you able to alter the captions once you have put them on top of your video?
Bert, while editing you can always go in and change anything. Once you upload it, that version is set and can’t be changed.
So awesome. Do you feel safe? I'm 42 an female and have been too scared to walk it on my own. Are you feeling okay about walking on your own?
I always start out with a few people in the dark and then choose to walk alone or maybe chat for awhile with another pilgrim. I feel very safe.

Did you have/use a lightweight selfie stick?
I lost my stick but had a gorilla grip and attached the phone to that.
