So incredibly happy to announce that they are sharing my TAB/notation for this arrangement (for free!!) on the official Joni Mitchell website!! Such an honor for me! Link to the tab in the description of this video! Also, if you want to watch my whole performance of this song, there's a link in the description here as well! Much love/E
Emil! Thank you for this video lesson. I'm having a great time learning it. You've created such a great interpretation of this beautiful song. In 1970 or 71, I was at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica. It was either Mary McCaslin or Wendy Waldman (I believe) who said something like, "I'd like to invite a friend of mine to come up on stage to sing one of her songs. She is the author of the Judy Collins hit, 'Both Sides Now'". Although I don't remember what song she played, I do remember that she played a dulcimer. One thing I am sure of is how I fell in love with this beautiful young lady (I was 17) who dazzled the audience with her voice.
You are not only a great guitarist, but an excellent teacher. You have a knack for employing something that is a foreign concept to alot of guitarists. And that is SUBTLETY ! Very inspiring !
Thanks for all you done for us , i love your music and play every day and thanks you every day forever and love this fantastic arrangiment Bay From ITALY
Thank you Emil, I had to learn it immediately. I still stuck with the beautiful artificial harmonics in the intro, but its so much fun to try and its getting better every day! Love it. Lets see if we meet in 2024, someday it must work out!
Good Lord. What a fantastic lesson. I will certainly not get all of these techniques under my fingers but I will surely enjoy trying. Thank you for posting this Emil 😃👏
That is a beautiful arrangement and perfect explanation, especially I really appreciated that you explained why you have chosen that shape instead of that etc.
How terrific would it be for Joni Mitchell to lay down her vocal track over your arrangement? That would be a perfect capstone to her incredible body of work.
wow super nice i love the way you played guitar your a genius man and a good man the way you talk and your look. thanks Emil for sharing your talent super cool👍👍👍
I have always loved this song and will try to get this under my fingers. Thanks so much for the time you've put this lesson and of course learning the song.
Ciao Emil thank you for this lesson, your arrangement it is probably the best ever made,, I am not the greatest at harmonics, but I will try it, anyway as you sad on another comment it is possible to skip it. Ciao da Milano (Marco)
Emil, brilliant arrangement, sounds amazing and will keep me busy trying to get that intro happening.Always tried to avoid artificial harmonics until now
Amazing arrangement, I will try it, but I know these cascading harmonics are going to be a nightmare! The tuning is similar to the Tall Fiddler by Tommy Emmanuel. Jatte bra jobb, Emil!
Thank you! You can definitely skip the intro with the cascading harmonics and play Gmaj7 to Cmaj7 back an forth as a nice intro! The part after the harmonics is a bit easier and I’m sure you’ll pick that up!! Have fun and thanks for the comment!🎶
@@proguitarofficial Whaat it's a Maton! That's sick, I'm gunna try to find one - I'm a guitar teacher and I subbed to your plan so I could get tips btw :) keep up the great work
Hi Emil ! I see that you cover 3 songs beautifully here on TH-cam. Do you cover only 3, or do you have quite a few that you could share? If so, do you prefer only a few genres, or do you love many genres like myself?
I have several arrangements and covers on my channel @emilernebroguitar on Instagram and TH-cam. I like many styles of music and I arrange all kinds of styles too ;) Check out our website ProGuitar.com for more lessons 🎶
How about the guitar set up. At least the strings make, model and gauge. The strings you are using really fit that song. It might be just me, but I get a nylon sting vide. But I am pretty sure those are steel strings.

Awesome! Really appreciate your work and your positive energy Emil. Hope to catch you in Montréal someday!
The harmonic intro instantly gave me a vision of Mauve predawn sky with tiny, spread out grey cumulus clouds. Beautiful.

Bro! Please respond, I'm in love with that guitar - where can I find one? What's the model called?
😄🙏 It’s a Maton EBG808 artist from 2007. It has been played a LOT☺️
