I'm a side sleeper and have used the Erie Canal method ever since I learned it with Bob and Brad, a few years ago. Game Changer! BTW, sleeping with the left side down is animatonically best, especially for those with acid reflux. I also do some tummy sleeping. The worst part is trying to get my neck in a more neutral position. Thank you Bob, Brad, and Mike.
Always right side sleeper, I always use a regular pillow between my knees, reduces strain on low back. I prefer the pillow goes from knee to just above my ankles, I feel more relief. Love your info, thank you!
Love the show, hope Bob is doing well. I am a side sleeper and your tips do work. Pillows between the legs help. I have one made for that reason. A small cylinder pillow behind my back helps my back stay straight. Plus I use a Sobakawa Buckwheat Pillow which contains buckwheat hulls for my head. Though heavy, it is cool when flipped around Plus it forms to the head, neck and shoulder. Keep up the good work
Thanks, I used to be a tummy & side sleeper but reflux changed that & stenosis, hip osteoporosis changed it. Now I am a back sleeper but still get cramps on either positions. I follow all those pillow supports. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Ugggh definitely dealing with shoulder blade and neck pain been to Dr given muscle relaxers and pt neither helped I sleep on my back mostly due to breathing issues I'm at my wits end constantly in pain having to keep heating pad on my back don't know what else to do 😔
I have a question for Mike… he said that he uses a knee pillow and I would love to know what kind he uses? You guys are definitely my favorite physical therapists on the internet. ❤
on 2:36 In Indonesia we use gulling, is like a pillow but longger so when u sleep with it u can hug and hold ur leg, is really hard to find this outside Indonesia and Malaysia.
I go to the baby department and collect the small pillows. They are just the right size and flat, more comfortable between knees, arms, and if I sleep on my stomach, just the right arch for my out of place L5 vertebrae.
My problem is after my 3rd stroke aged 44 in 2022 I spent 4mths in hospital sleeping on my back because of tube in nose feeding. I’m usually a side sleeper but now it hurts my stroke shoulder to sleep on my side so I’m forced to sleep on my back and I have a foam wedge for my legs but I can’t sleep flat on one pillow because it still hurts my hips, back and shoulders. Btw I’ve been watching since my first stroke in 2013 😂😂😂
I use a CCP and sleep mostly on my back and don't have any back problems but I've heard it's better to sleep on your side for the blood flow to the brain.
Wish I hadn’t slept in the worst sleeping position (on my belly with one knee up towards my shoulder). Right arm used under flat pillow to prop head. Additionally, I would sit in my office chair with one leg tucked under my butt because my legs are short. Caused levoscoliosis. I have foramenal stenosis of the pelvic openings where the nerves/blood vessels reach the legs. Constant low back pain due to sciatica, flattened discs and some bulges. I just don’t want to move anymore. Everything hurts.
I sleep on my back with a pillow beneath my knees and that helps my back. But I wake up with pain in my left hip flexor. Anybody else experience the same thing? Thanks
We spent 2500 on a mattress its ok but i dont sleep good.....im in pain the whole time im sleeping tossing and turning, so the wife says......then we got a new recliner......i slept in it when we first got it......best rest i have had in 20 years and woke up in no pain..... wish i could figure out to make the mattress feel that good

For an old guy like me and Brad🙏🏻
They are so fun and helpful. 🙂
I love what you guys do, and I am very proud to support a channel that continues to support the origin and includes Bob. Well done.

You two are the best! You are appreciated ❤
Interesting to use the larger pillow between knee and ankle. I'm going to try that one. Thanks, guys!❤
That one I do and love it!
Love the show, hope Bob is doing well.

Exactly what I needed thanks!
What to do if u have both bulging disc and spinal stenosis?
Nice episode, but can you do a "summer version"? It isn't easy to sleep with a lot of pillows, especially in the summer

What is the best wrist brace for sleep?

Moral of the story.........sleep standing up?

What if you have to sleep up on your back for reflux in an adjusted bed. How do you sleep like that. Can you still put pillows under your knees.
Might be an idea to work on reducing the reflux, or even getting rid of it? Just a thought.
The one thing not addressed here is the CPAP wearer. Even with a special CPAP pillow, it can be hard to sleep any way but your back.
Comfortable pillows are very hard to find

Where is brad?
He has speech and orientation problems (ataxia)
@Scrungge thanks.l so thats why,, i hope he gets better
No kidding, hubby thinks a pillow belongs under my butt, a wolf 🐺 in sheep's clothing! You're welcome!
It's not an Eary Canal, it's a Shouldery Canal.
What have astronauts reported about sleeping in zero gravity? Not that most of us can benefit from that.
So all the pillows being used was to prepare us for aging. 😂😂❤
The Eerie Canal, yikes!
Nope I sleep on my left side for my organ positioning.
I curl into a fetal position with everything curled in due to trauma.
Why did you hire that guy? What is he really the only choice? Are you just trying to be woke?
