Consider how European ethnics voted during 1920-1960 they were arguably a reliable center left political block. The Kennedy’s, LBJ, Truman all owe their political viability to these folks. And we call them assimilated.. were they? Or did the whole country changed so the country could assimilate itself TO THEM?
