AZ is a thinker and is very much intentional with his words and actions. He doesn't respond for the sake of responding and is thoughtful in his responses. He's not gossipy so he's not going to share any salicious stories just because. He's a respectable man.
Dude is super calculated.
I miss this era of brothas. This used to be the way.

Az my favorite man. He don’t do all the rap bullshit just strictly business and keep it cool
Little kids take note..this is how men back in the day USED TO BE. You can hear it in his voice, pure integrity. They don't make them like this no more. He is a blueprint human being.

Yeah right 😂😂😂

WOW like why? The culture can do with out this interview. Facts
AZ is such an introspective, classy and calculated dude. He controlled the flow and direction of the interview and was very methodical with his answers and responses. NORE did everything possible to get him to gossip, tattle-tell or throw people under the bus and AZ deflected each time. I absolutely loved this interview and love that AZ got the recognition and praise that he rightly deserves.
Facts, he is true to the core
Peace 📿 🌍
Nore knew from jump he couldn’t control AZ!! this was a classic 💯 now all we need is FOXY BROWN she deserves her flowers too
Yeah we need Lady Brown there
Yes. I'm waiting n ready for her.

THE MOST REQUESTED DRINK CHAMPS INTERVIEW IN HISTORY HAS OFFICIALLY HAPPENED !! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🍾
I love Az, but why?
Bro chill. Nobody requested him😂
@@Xilent1that nigga just talking. Nobody requested him💯
@@Turfbaby831 y'all don't get it lol
I believe it was the most anticipated cause you can find clips of a very young NORE when he dissed Nas and vice versa Nas dissed NORE…… so when Drinks Champs had Nas on but never had AZ ……. So the culture felt AZ still wasn’t feeling NORE (pause)…..
Nothing has made me more happy musically than seeing AZ get his flowers. I cannot speak highly enough of the way he carries himself, how Kool he is and lyrically how outstanding he is.AZ’s flow is flawless 🔥 🙌🏻 Now all I want to see is that AZ n Nas album. That would elevate AZ even further into the sky, which is what he truly deserves 🙏🏻
Exactly. Exactly. 😀
Agreed totally!
Beautifully said and all FACTS!✌🏾✊🏽
Az is extremely underrated
AZ is my number 1, and you said this perfectly.
AZ was extremely cautious through the whole interview. Bro is about principles and not trying to get into the gossip Nore was looking for.
Man relax it was good conversation lol
Much better than the Math Hoffa interview
Smart man. Az said before that he doesnt trust podcasts

AZ wasn't getting caught up in the drunk and tree smoke shenanigans... He done seen how these Drink Champ interviews get sloppy and messy.... Salute and Respect
If NAS and AZ could just do one collaboration album with preemo on the beats I'll die a happy man.
It’s time had past, that album wouldn’t be what it would’ve been so don’t mess up a legacy

AZ is a smart smart calculated man. He didn't drink or smoke and they tried throughout the whole interview. AZ knows Nore and he ain't falling for it. Salute
NORE with That pre rolled blunt was wild😅
@WolfSnot Nore is grimmy and they all know from queens and Brooklyn and now we all know if u read Prodigy's book. He maybe different now but those dudes don't forget and AZ made that clear in the interview towards the end.

So happy for my brother. Known him since before we was teenagers. We used to be on the 4th floor in my grandmothers building in cyphers and blowing something. Keep doing your thing my brother 😊
“Pieces of a Man” is an album that needs more credit. There’s not much separating it from “It Was Written.” There’s a few albums I go to when I’m sick and need musical medicine. “Aquemeni” is one of them, and “Pieces of a Man” is the other. I learned more about life from that album than I did from my actual father.
The joint with Nas is a slapper
For certain
@snoopy4749 How Ya Livin definitely one of my most played songs right now
Damn, that's a shame. Go have a sit down with your dad fam

AZ is a top tier emcee. A true hiphop legend that has never been given the attention he deserves. 💯
Big shot out to A.Z. I feel the vibe. His people he grew up with is my people. From N.Y. to N.C. Back and forth. East N.Y. has always been a family for us coming out of E.C. We jumped off the porch straight into the streets from N.C. to East N.Y.

Nas skeptical of making a joint album with a.z...ok..stop it..😂😂😂
The last part of the interview had me dying 😂😂😂 ,.. you can tell AZ was done with the questions ,..hungry Asf ,.. a lil tipsy and Nore keep asking him questions. The annoyance on his face was priceless. AZ was ready to get tf up out!

Finally got him on Drink Champs!!! "Sugar Hill" was the most played song in my car, CD player, now on my playlist!! I even bump the sample "Sugar Free" by Juicy just to go back to AZ's version!! I gotta say this man hasn't aged a bit!! ❤❤❤
Yep 304
same here... but I do listen to juicy's album version and to the "deo super dance mix" from which the beat was sampled...
brazilian eumir deodato is a genius.
plus I have like 8 to 10 different trys on that specific beat...
e.g.
brian mcknight's "hold me trackmaster's remix"
cmw's "it's a compton thing"
grand daddy i.u.'s "sugar free"
erykah badu's "back in the day"
love sugar hill since summer '95 though... that'll be my joint forever.
Even that Keep Runnin' joint hit different once it was a rap.
When your peers respect you, you don't have to say nothing
they speak for you that's power.
You could tell he doesn't like doing interviews. I understand him a lil better. He's just about music and his money as he should. Great interview. Hopefully going to the show on the 30th
AZ is my favourite rapper, not only because of his music, but because he is very observant and calculated. You always think clearer and act efficient when at a distance.
Difference in mindset watching the storm, rather than being inside it
AZ always been one of my favorites when it came to lyrics. He deserves his flowers and more.
AZ's persona comes across the same way, whether it's on records or interviews. Humble guy, who stays out the way. He gets his on the low, moves quietly and rips mics.

Word up. 95 AZ was an lyrical assisain with the smooth wordplay and unique flow. Doe or Die definitely lived up the hype as an classic album especially during that time period where other heavy hitting albums as IIllmatic, Ready to Die, The Infamous, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Enter the 36 Chambers, Doggystyle, Me Against the World, Tical, Return of the 36 Chambers, East 1999 Etentral, Lifestylez ov da Poor and Dangerous, Dare iz a Darkside, The Diary and Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik was still in heavy rotation.
