I bought a Marlin 1894 back in the early 1980s. Was made in 1977. Have hunted with it. Have taken several animals with it, from deer, coyotes and bobcats. Love my Marlin
I bought a 2019 Remington/Marlin 1894C as my first gun and absolutly love it. Ruger was the best thing that could have happend to the Marlin brand. I have a new 336 Trapper and it is as smooth from the start as my 1894 after more than 10000 rounds.
As a retired Engineer I am not fond of lawyers my new Marlin 1894 is a great rifle
Hornady's lever revolution sticks in all my 1894's (44 mag and 45 colt). Stick with jacketed bullets or solids! Great review cowboy!
I just saw someone explain their 'fix' to this problem. Remove the magazine tube and dremel/round the inner diameter. The rim of the cartridges are just hanging up on the lip of the magazine tube and since the lever revolution rounds are slightly longer they tend to align themselves in a way when loading that causes them to snag that shelf.
That's a beautiful horse. If your not going to let the horse shoot the gun at least let him have some more air time.
Is the rear sight plastic?
@gunsamerica the opening of the magazine tube has to be rounded. I just watched another youtuber explain the same problem with certain ammo not feeding, almost feels like it's hitting a wall. The rim of the cartridge after the first round hangs up on the 90deg lip of the magazine tube. Easy fix is removing the magazine tube and rounding the inner diameter with a 1/2" dremel shaping bit or stone.
I was hoping for a live turkey.
is this a rhetorical question? lol i got a pretty good idea what it would do. instant turkey sausage
❤
It's a hooded front sight. Marlin has used the stock bullsye for decades, Ruger just changed the center color.
The hood is removable
That’s a fine looking mountain horse.
Hood!
price is right over 1200 bucks????? I'll keep my henry thank you.....
I bought one for way under that price.
… I should've been a cowboy
I should've learned to rope and ride
Wearin' my six-shooter, ridin' my pony on a cattle drive
Stealin' the young girls' hearts
Just like Gene and Roy
Singin' those campfire songs
Woah, I should've been a cowboy
Will it shoot the heavy stuff like buffalo bore and underwood?
Anything 300 grain and under no problem.
It sounds really gritty while you run it
Why are you wearing spurs?
I have a marlin 44 magnum and with 240 grn ammo it kicks like a mule
You must be really sensitive to recoil. I mean seriously sensitive. Kicks less than a 30-30 Marlin 336.
Why does every internet "operator" think that the only purpose for shooting is to do defense drills.
