What other coach found success with another team but just couldn’t win the big one? Oh right, Andy Reid. Then Reid went to Kansas City, paired up with Mahomes, and started winning Super Bowls. Why is no one else thinking about that formula? I get it, McCarthy isn’t Reid, but Caleb isn’t Mahomes either. Sometimes God puts us where we need to be, not necessarily where we want to be.

I like how you ignore that McCarthy has more success than Reid pre-Cheifs. That GB chip is just erased from your mind entirely lol.

@@thatinternetdude1392 I didn’t ignore it. My point is that McCarthy wouldn't be a bad hire.

McCarthy is a safe pick...Ben Johnson is the right pick ! Mikes' end of game clock management is horrible ! Will Mike bring structure and help CW, make the bears respectable ? Yes, I believe so; can McCarthy take Bears to the promised land ? No, I don't believe he can. Johnson is a shot at greatness so take the shot !

Coaches under contract with another team can’t interview in person until January 20 so I’m good with the number of candidates the Bears can interviewed virtually until that date. Rooney Rule is a joke, as evidenced by the Pats “interview process”. If the NFL can’t put teeth to it, then maybe it’s time to eliminate it. The NFL purposely made the rules to slow down the hiring process but I agree with you that it puts teams in somewhat of a bind when it comes to evaluating draft picks and potential free agents. Shrine bowl is Jan. 30th and Senior bowl is Feb. 1 so conducting interviews the week before may limit available nfl team personnel to evaluate these draft prospects in person.

    Pete Carroll is the answer.

    Just hire McCarthy.
The "Rooney Rule" is antiquated and needless.

I want the Lions to lose just so this circus comes to an end.
