Game was over at 4th n 14 but the refs tossed you guys a turkey leg....Flus is an idiot but the Bears shouldn't even have been in that final position. You act as if the Bears won the game. It would have been a 55+ yard FG just to tie the game and your kicker is hot garbage. Bears played good in the 2nd half versus the Lions 3rd and 4th string defensive backs, cool. Cant wait til the Lions play in Chicago with a proper week of rest, the game will be a completely different showing.

The rules ensure that game outcomes will be determined by nonsense like using timeouts and challenges and spiking footballs and penalizing the expression of normal emotions. There's no logic for letting the clock run after running plays and completions but stopping it after incompletions and going out of bounds. All game long, the clock could be stopped at every whistle and then started after the football is placed for the next snap. In the final minute it could start on the snap. We want to see more football, not less. More football and fewer penalties. QBs used to call the plays. Coaches maybe matter too much now.

that was on caleb/ you throw a quick out and get out of bounds, you are the general you get your team set. you dont throw a bomb into double coverage with no time left. coach might of called the play but you still have check downs. btw lion fan here thanks for the win.

the bears drive was dead as soon as caleb was still the qb, go back and actually watch the drive it was all caleb's fault, literally any NFL qb wins that game, caleb just isn't NFL caliber

As a Lions fan I have seen this before... except it was the Lions doing it. That was a complete melt down by the Bears. How many f'd up ways can the Bears find to lose? Hail Mary? Check. Blocked Field goal? Yep. Failure in OT? Got it! Disasterous clock management? Bingo. As Homer Simpson would say... DOH!

The QB draw was a good play call if you're looking to tie the game.

1) We have a budding top five qb 2) we are a pass rusher away from a top 5 defense 3) This is very fixable with a competent HC 4) Because our current HC is so incompetent we will get better draft picks to fill in the holes 5) This really is not as awful as it is being made out to be 6) let’s bring in a band aid for the rest of the season, Lovie your up for the latter half and some sanity here. Get the young dynamic guy after the season and keep Lovie as a consultant

Obviously it’s a coaching catastrophe, but I don’t know if a “clutch gene” QB tries to change the last play there. Having a timeout in your pocket and only getting one play off in 33 seconds seems like an utter lack of awareness on the QB’s behalf.

I still say that in that situation he was doing what Ebergoofy was telling him to do and he was. In thevwords of the head coach, Caleb handled that situation perfectly. This is the head coach saying this, not me. You be the judge!!

Okay, I'm a Lions fan. Let's be clear on this. I am not taking any excitement over this win because right now I am a bears fan going "What the fuck was that?!?!" Just... watch the video. Caleb clearly believes they are going to call a time out. One of his linemen says "I don't think we are". So now Caleb is in hurry up but the rest of the O Line and the wides are just... casually getting to the line, chatting, clearly thinking "Okay, time out". Then Caleb goes into "okay, we are going to call a time out and go for the field goal." What you CAN'T see, but has been reported by the likes of Pride of Detroit, is that during all this Eberflus is arguing with the refs that they should throw a flag on the last play. So he isn't watching and then Caleb realizes "Oh crap, I need to run a play". Eberflus is making up all these lies about why this happened but it is clear he completely lost focus. Yes, Caleb had issues that resulted in two burned time outs... but come on, man.

Lions fan, yeah, we had injuries, but man, I’ve got respect for Caleb Williams. He’s got heart. Plus, the Bears def were solid enough in the second half. Lions punter Jack Fox was one of the game savers. And truly, I think it was a gutsy call that just wasn’t executed properly. Lions secondary were struggling, and I think the Bears were trying to take advantage of that. Anyway, three tough division games behind you, Bears. Get some rest, come back swinging.

Lions fan here. I sincerely feel awful for you guys. That was us for 70 years...& we haven't won anything yet. Just hard to watch & hear the BS excuses by another inept coach. When you guys get really good, with will be relatively soon, you success will be sweeter because of games like this.

The changes cited here didn't happen because of "this coaching staff", they happened because of Thomas Brown. Give him his props. Three weeks ago, under Waldron, this offense couldn't muster a single touchdown against the lowly Patriots. Since Brown became OC, they've averaged 23 points per game and been in position to win against ALL three of their division rivals. That's a drastic difference that deserves credit.

An 8 year old that started playing Madden a week ago worst case calls a timeout with 9-10 seconds left. I get Eberflus was hoping to get the play off quickly and having the whole field available which is perfectly fine if your team is prepared. When it's clear nobody on the field has a clue and the clock is approaching 10 seconds, it's borderline criminal.
