I absolutely loved these two episodes! I think they were both just all around perfect. They were each filled with so many amazing scenes and moments, I think they were able to do a great job at bring the whole episode together. I thought that the writing was fantastic, the voice acting was perfect as always, and the animation was beautiful and as always was able to perfectly capture whatever it was trying to portray. All around, throughout both these episodes, I felt the dialogue/writing, music, voice acting and action all came together really perfectly in order to make these even more compelling interesting and engaging episodes. I really hope that the show is able to continue, keep up with or in some capacity even improve upon this level of great care and high quality that was put into each aspect of these episodes for the rest of this season. I really loved getting to see more of Captain Rex and the Clone Rebellion. I really like that we are getting to see more of the kinds of things they do and how they operate. I’m really excited and interested to see more of this plot line and where it will ultimately lead. It was also super cool to see that their main base was the Monastery on Teth, which was a location/planet that Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex and the 501st visited during the Clone Wars movie. I also loved getting to hear Crosshair talk more about what he and some of the other Clones went through while at Mount Tantiss. I think it’s very interesting and I like that we’re getting to learn more about it. And I really like the way that through his voice we could hear just how traumatized and fearful Crosshair had become of this topic. I also really enjoyed getting to see Captain Howzer again, not only was it great to see him in action again, but I loved his dynamic with Crosshair throughout these episodes. I just really liked the writing/storytelling for his character arc/development throughout these two episodes. With how he started out by having a bias against Crosshair for what he ultimately caused to happen to his men, but then for Howzer to see how Crosshair has changed since that point and is able to come to trust him, then by the end it is Howzer to be the one to save Crosshair from being killed by the Clone Assassin. And I absolutely loved finally getting to see Commander Wolffe appear in this show, it was just amazing to get to see him in another Star Wars show again after so many years. I thought he was utilized perfectly throughout this episode and he felt just like he did during Clone Wars. Not only was it cool to see him using his military tactics/experience to try and hunt down Rex and the Bad Batch, but I also really liked seeing how he had to try and make a split decision between trying to remain a loyal soldier of the Empire (like he was trained to be) or do what he knows to actually be right and be loyal to his brothers. I can’t wait to hopefully to see this sort of internal conflict continue within Commander Wolffe as he returns throughout this season. Also I know it was just a brief little moment, but I really liked getting to see Rex and Wolffe’s reactions to seeing one another again, especially Wolffe’s with how he had thought Rex had died. I also absolutely loved Rex’s speech to Wolffe and his men at the end of Episode 7. I just think that it was very well written, pretty heartfelt and somewhat inspirational. It was very true to the story/theme of this show, it’s various characters and what they’ve had to deal with throughout the course of the series. Also with what Rex said to Hunter at the end of Episode 7, I wonder if (and kind of hope) this means the Bad Batch could possibly be teaming up with the Clone Rebellion more often now in order to try and find out what the Empire actually wants with Omega. I am still really loving everything about this show and I can’t wait to see the rest of the season and where all the characters and this story and will go next. I absolutely cannot wait for next week’s episode, I am really anticipating and looking forward to seeing it. I’m all around just so excited to get to see Bad Batch’s Third and Final Season continue.
the existence of these operatives makes so much sense, bc remember tarkin making the bad batch fight those droids. The only one he gaf about was crosshair, so he set out to copy crosshairs skillset
I have no doubt because Crosshair went bad once already. Doing that again would undermine everything he's done this season. Also, Hemlock wanted to stop both Crosshair and Omega from escaping until he found out about Omega's blood.
I'm becoming more and more certain that the Operative who has serious plot armour is a clone of crosshair. He sounds like him, he moves like him, they are very equal when fighting. I think they want everyone to believe it's a clone of Tech but I'm thinking it's actually Crosshair.
He literally can’t be a clone of Crosshair. Beyond the genetic degradation with the code being a whole order of magnitude further removed from Jango’s original code, it also takes clones 10 years to grow to adulthood.
Anyone noticed heat signature of Imperial assasin when Crosshear was scaning for heat trace on him? upper body had some heat but legs were blue . I think he is some kind of cyborg or half cyborg like Maul was , it could explain why he survived much in this episode .
Nah I rewatch moment at 7:57 at the 0,25 speed, he’s legs have red color. Also, if a person stands too far from the heat trace, he will be less visible (this is exactly visible at this moment in series- his arms and legs are blue, and his torso is red, but as soon as he comes a little closer, they turn red for a bit)
I swears if its tech im about to lose my shit! The damn writers need to stop brining back "dead" characters having them return completly ruins their death scene and the impact it had on us and the squad. Let the operative be his own character and not someone we know from before. These things need to stop it has been overused way to much.
It would make more sense if it was Cody. Even with the voice changer on the helmet it just sounds like a normal clone. And a loose connection could be tying in the fact that he was using a vibroblade. Rex also has a flashback shouting for Cody in Rebels and we obviously know he's not around during that time. I'm really thinking as the Bad Batch invade Tantis, Rex is going to fight the clone assassin kicking his helmet off revealing it to be Cody. And they have a moment just as Anakin and Obi wan had on Mustafar.
At first i was fairly convinced the new "operative" might be a resurrected Tech, but now, i'm not so sure. I'm really thinking it's either a resurrected Tech, or perhaps, a clone of Crosshair ? The scene where the operative tried to drown Crosshair, perhaps we saw their reflection of each-other in the water, basically like a mirror image ?
I thought the exact same thing. Especially with the line “you had the chance to be one of us” which lead me to think that they might possibly have created an anti crosshair clone.
They are making way too much of a mystery around that Shadow Clone. He is going to be someone we know. And yep it seems the Clone Rebellion will be happening this season focused on Tantiss. The only way for the Empire to stop searching for Omega is if that whole operation is destroyed and Hemlok is killed. That way Sidious would need to start again in a more secure location. Also loved Omega imitating Crosshair.😂
11:02 "I am a soldier of the empire" is the exact dialogue Crosshair said to Rampart in season 2 episode 3 when he asked Crosshair why he came back after being left for dead on Kamino.
What if Crosshair has a tracker on him like the shadows and they find the island because of it? Maybe he’s not going to betray the team but because of the tracking he’ll always point to their location?
i thought of that too but if he’s considering a “failure” my hemlock (and isn’t secretly like a triple undercover agent) then they probably never wasted the resources to put a tracked in him, especially considering no one ever thought he would escape
Did you notice that little getaway ship, they get out of the Monastery on, is the leech pod off Echo's ship the Remora-One, they used it so they could board an Imperial Advanced Science Division ship in S2 Ep 14- Tipping point. Also that ship and the Crimson Corsair's ship , The Meson Martinet, are basically the same design. Finn books passage on the Meson Martinet and is about to board when the first order shows up at the end of TFA and according to the comics one of the crew is Kix (CT 6116, 501st Medic, he started investigating the chips after Tup Shot Master Tiplar), who they found in Cryo. It feels like it rhymes...ya know... the ship used by The Clone Underground, and the Ship that the Last Clone crews on, are the same base model.
Throughout the episode I was waiting for crosshair and shadow to disappear together and shadow to come out but was actually crosshair in disguise so he can go undercover.
I'm not sure if clones can reproduce in cannon but in legends they could, the Kaminoans wanted to make them sterile but found that it made them more apathetic, and less aggressive and negatively affected their unit cohesion.
You guys remember even less of last season than I do. 😂 Howzer is suspicious of Crosshair because of what happened on Ryloth in the Kid-Hera-episode. Howzer joined Rex last season. He hasn't been an imperial prisoner.
I have a theory... The shadow called Crosshair brother. They are all very similar to Crosshair, all from the same program, all snipers, very good snipers. What if the shadows are new clones with much more accelerated growth (that's why they don't have any number or records) and the host is actually Crosshair. Or at least trained by him, DNA enhanced like him... I think that Crosshair is responsible for all the shadows.
Wolffe has to earn his right to join on Rex's crew, he'll go his journey of self discovery. I'm so ready to see him kick ass and take names with his buddy Rex.
Seen some people guessing the reason this shadow clone is still alive is cause he is actually Tech.....I REALLY don't want that to be true, but I think they might be right...
I really hope they aren’t gonna swerve on Crosshairs allegiance to Omega in some final ep showdown battle in his own head thing where he and Hunter and others may kill each other and/or Omega. Enjoying the protective nature Crosshair seems to be developing for her.
I just want to correct Calvin real quick. Gregor is a Commando, not an ARC Trooper. ARCs (Advanced Reconnaissance Commando) and Republic/Imperial Commandos are different. Very similar in some ways, but different.
An Arc Trooper is different than a Commando.....A Commando has a different Equipment and skillset from the Regular Clone Troopers, often sent into situations outnumbered and alone. Arc Troopers are Troopers who have proven themselves capable of independent Command ability, through tactics and strategy on the fly. Arc Troopers are signified by the skirt they wear about their waists, like Echo wears that skirt because before he was blown up on Skako Minor he was an Arc Trooper.
I've just had a potential massive brainblast mixed with a longshot I think this unnamed operative could be Tech. This is the first operative we've seen use technology to benefit him, his little gadget on his upper arm. That ship he came in on had a very similar color scheme to the ship the Bad Batch use, and he specifically told Crosshair "You could've been one of us." I don't think many other operatives would've cared if he'd joined them or not, plus he was determined to track them all down by himself, and he would've recognized the rest of the BB and Rex. That's all a stretch, but you never know!
17:35 Not sure about Canon, but in Legends, there was one Clone Commando who married and had a kid with a Jedi Knight. I don't remember the names, but IIRC, the kid was later taken in and raised by one of the Mandalorians that used to train the Clone Commandos in Legends.
I’ve got a bad feeling that the shadow clone is Cody since we haven’t seen him yet this season he did go missing, we haven’t seen this shadows face and there’s got to be a reason this guy keeps surviving that’s 2 almost guaranteed death moments that any other unnamed character would be dead from.
i pretty sure the clones in the clone rebellion rex brought in don't have there inhibiter chips anymore but you can see Wolffe is fighting the chip effects to follow orders but he didn't follow his orders this time cause of rex they been through a lot together in the clone wars glad to see his loyalty to his brothers hasn't disappeared from the inhibiter chips programing
16:50 It's never been discussed on any canon medium, but I've discussed this with Star Wars fans many times over the years. It's like Calvin says, it would be like Ghengis Khan, only way worse. I mean, we know that Kaminoan morality is fairly questionable, but I would think that scientifically speaking, they would see that it would wreak havoc on the human (and Twilek and anything else that can reproduce with humans) genome to set loose millions of men with the exact same genetics into the galaxy to impregnate woman. It is a fact that war results in many unplanned pregnancies. When soldiers have even a little bit of downtime, and they happen to be near a settlement or town or brothel or even a farmer that has some pretty daughters, guess what they do with that downtime? I'm convinced the Clones are likely sterile, except maybe Boba, Omega, and Emerie.
If the shadow trooper is Tech, do you think his line saying that Crosshair could’ve been one of them and that he chose the wrong side, is Tech’s resentment that Crosshair chose the Empire over the Bad Batch?

I didn't realize it when watching the episode myself, but the way clone agent speaks actually sounds similar to crosshair. With that in mind the theory of them being cloned from crosshair or augmented from his dna seems more feasible. Maybe that extraction of genetic material is what caused his hand tremor.
The children were between 8 and 10 years old, but barely a year had passed since the First Battle of Geonosis, so it's impossible for them to be their biological children. His father was a different person.
I want the Shadow clone to be Tech. I don't know if it is, but he seems to like his electronics (he had his wristpad, used multiple times, for multiple reasons) and there's some major importance to this shadow specifically given the closeup of him emerging from the water at the end. We also know Hemlock found Tech's body when he threw his goggles to Hunter at the end of Season 2, saying "This was all that we could salvage."
I’m a little nervous the waterfall survivor is tech. Experience with stories leads me to assume he will unfortunately be one of them and be turned good, instead of allowing the story to just have fucking stakes

Hemlock is probably going to do exactly that at some point. First preference will be to snatch Omega without exposing the location of Tantis, which is what they tried to do here.

Sadly I feel the unknown Imperial operative is going to be revealed to be Cody and Rex will have to be the one to take him out. 😭 OR The operative will be a clone of Crosshair, he is a pretty decent sniper. 🤔
I think the shadow trooper is a clone we know. If he wasn’t significant he could’ve just died and they’d send another one after them. I think it’s Cody personally. Rampart saying he went AWOL was just a cover. What weve seen is that there are still regiments of clones serving in the empire, not all have been phased out. Any clone who’s been skeptical of the empire or disobeyed orders or done anything against the empire (Crosshair, Howser) were sent to be conditioned. Cody didn’t listen to the orders from the governor in season 2, so it’s likely he was sent for reconditioning
I have two theories on that shadow trooper I either think its a clone of crosshair (why his arm is so messed up) or tech survived and the empire captured him
They can still reproduce if they wanted, that was just more so a general military policy the GAR had that Rex said to Cut during that 2-part arc. But they didn't actually have the clones be neutered in any way. And above all, it's never been stated in the lore whatsoever, to my knowledge, that they've been sterilized or anything. So, who knows? There could in fact be SOME half-clone children out there in the galaxy!

I really thought Crosshair wasn't gonna make it 😭
I'm becoming more and more certain that the Operative who has serious plot armour is a clone of crosshair. He sounds like him, he moves like him, they are very equal when fighting. I think they want everyone to believe it's a clone of Tech but I'm thinking it's actually Crosshair.
Or Cody, he was using a vibroblade.
whatever he is, he is climbing the list of my current favourites in this show. He feels so competent and resilient, a very cool bad guy.
He literally can’t be a clone of Crosshair. Beyond the genetic degradation with the code being a whole order of magnitude further removed from Jango’s original code, it also takes clones 10 years to grow to adulthood.
@@nikulus2840 The operative was shown taking that vibroblade from a clone in the base.
@@PerovNigmayep
This season has been hands down the best so far!
anyone else notice the subtle detail on Rex's left arm armor is less discolored than his right because of the pauldron he used to use? great detail
Jesse's helmet (and face) displayed the Galactic Roundel, the symbol of the Republic that was redesigned as the Imperial Crest.
The Bad Batch is so freakin good. I love it so much.
did anyone see the glitched floating helmet behind commander wolffe when the door of his ship opens? lol
Also when Wolfe walks up to the door on first arrival he pulls out his pistol to his side and he has no pistol in his hand
Look closer it's just the perspective!
Anyone noticed heat signature of Imperial assasin when Crosshear was scaning for heat trace on him? upper body had some heat but legs were blue . I think he is some kind of cyborg or half cyborg like Maul was , it could explain why he survived much in this episode .
Nah
I rewatch moment at 7:57 at the 0,25 speed, he’s legs have red color. Also, if a person stands too far from the heat trace, he will be less visible (this is exactly visible at this moment in series- his arms and legs are blue, and his torso is red, but as soon as he comes a little closer, they turn red for a bit)
I’m convinced that assassin is Tech. Like the whole you could have been one of us thing could have a double meaning
The bad batch is truly goated.
11:02 "I am a soldier of the empire" is the exact dialogue Crosshair said to Rampart in season 2 episode 3 when he asked Crosshair why he came back after being left for dead on Kamino.
The Agent survived gunshots, an explosion, and a fall from a huge as heck waterfall! Seriously, is he Qyburn's work?! Have I missed something? lol 🤔😅💀
That clone assassin is soooo Tech.
But a Crosshair clone would be cool too
Or it could be Cody.
"I saw a video of a dog driving a car! Might of been fake though?"
IDK why that was so funny 😂
I get the feeling the operative is Commander Cody. Especially in the last episode, he asked why he was activated.
Wolffe: "The empire wouldn't do that to us"
Rex: "Have you SEEN the dead clones in our base 15 minutes ago bro?"
If that were the case, then the Empire would’ve already activated it to try and get Omega. So that theory doesn’t make sense
"You don't need to be accurate with bombs." -- Eric 2024
When the Commando said "But Sir, they're traitors!" I was hoping Wolffe was going to say, "Maybe we're the traitors..."
Nahhhh Wolfe has always been an Imperial stooge....
The intensity in this episode is freakin' off the charts!
Yes Eric we trust and believe in Crosshair. Wolf is good too dont forget he is in Rebels even though he did mess up a little.
Clone X Identity Possibilities
Cody
Tech
A clone of Crosshair
Great two episodes
I said it after the last episode last season and the first one this one on your channel. Tech is alive and will most likely one of these assassins
Throughout the episode I was waiting for crosshair and shadow to disappear together and shadow to come out but was actually crosshair in disguise so he can go undercover.
Pretty sure there was a clone commando who had a kid with a jedi padawan
Considering almost all of the Jedi Padawans during the War were 14 or so that's pretty messed up.....
As cool as a Winter Soldier Tech would be, I prefer the clone Crosshair theory.
He was an Imperial Prisoner....Rex and Echo freed him when they boarded the Imperial prisoner transport in Season 2......
I see you, Calvin, mouthing Aaron's intro.
I really hope they aren’t gonna swerve on Crosshairs allegiance to Omega in some final ep showdown battle in his own head thing where he and Hunter and others may kill each other and/or Omega. Enjoying the protective nature Crosshair seems to be developing for her.
A theory I have heard that I believe might be true is that the Shadow Assassin is Tech.
Why do I have this feeling that the masked shadow clone is a Crosshairs? Even with the voice changer he sounds like him.
I think it would be cool if it was the original and this heroic one is the clone
I've just had a potential massive brainblast mixed with a longshot
I think this unnamed operative could be Tech.
I thought that at first, but now im more convinced he’s the clone of crosshair, like an anti crosshair.
Loving how Crosshair turned into Dad mode with Omega ❤
Idk about you, but that operative's breathing at the end, in the water, sounded kind of like Tech and his more higher pitched sound.
The Shadow Clone is definitely a clone of Crosshair
The movie was called the hunted
That guy is not dead...i think that is Tech...
2:50 There was a rancor in the monastery in one of the deleted scenes of The Clone Wars movie.
17:37 Eric wanted to talk so bad for like 30 sec😭😭
If the shadow trooper is Tech, do you think his line saying that Crosshair could’ve been one of them and that he chose the wrong side, is Tech’s resentment that Crosshair chose the Empire over the Bad Batch?
No doubt, but I think there is a connection to the shadow maybe it's even a clone of crosshair
I think that last guy is Tech
What if Crosshair has a tracker on him like the shadows and they find the island because of it? Maybe he’s not going to betray the team but because of the tracking, he’ll always point to their location?
Strange to have the protagonists shooting to kill and the antagonists on stun, rather than the other way around The shadow clone talks like crosshair..... It's gotta be a clone of him. Ay, but we gotta respect the operative clones. At the end of the day their still soldiers following orders. The real hate remains focused on Papa Palps They are making way too much of a mystery around that Shadow Clone. He is going to be someone we know. And yep it seems the Clone Rebellion will be happening this season focused on Tantiss. The only way for the Empire to stop searching for Omega is if that whole operation is destroyed and Hemlok is killed. That way Sidious would need to start again in a more secure location.
Also loved Omega imitating Crosshair.😂The Bad Batch is so freakin good. I love it so much. Finally episode 7 I like the theory that the Clone X is Tech but if is Tech then... why Hemlock didn't use it to thread Omega or the Batch to comeback or something like that?? Tech comeback?? shadow is not could be tech On the clones having kids in legends it was possible I’m not sure about Cannon though It would be REALLY cool if Ezra happened to at least visit Rex in Ahsoka Season 2. The bad batch is truly goated. Clone Beach Volleyball Top Gun Style coming up next episode 7! At first, I was fairly convinced the new "operative" might be a resurrected Tech, but now, I'm not so sure. I'm really thinking it's either a resurrected Tech or perhaps, a clone of Crosshair? In the scene where the operative tried to drown Crosshair, perhaps we saw their reflection of each other in the water, basically like a mirror image? The shadow clone talks like crosshair..... It's gotta be a clone of him. They are making way too much of a mystery around that Shadow Clone. He is going to be someone we know. Also loved Omega imitating Crosshair.😂The Bad Batch is so freakin good. I love it so much. Finally episode 7 I could be wrong, I’ve been thinking the shadow could be Cody or Tech. Mainly leaned more on Cody because he was skilled with a vibro knife and hand-to-hand; that, and well, we never got to see what happened with Cody. All we got was that he went “AWOL”, but he’s not with Rex and the clone coalition either. Tech, well, that’s self-explanatory knowing how everyone here has been watching at this point. Why are you guys posting reactions on this account and not the main one🤔It's obvious this new shadow trooper is actually Tech...just watch the credits, it's the same voice actor! I think the shadow trooper might be Cody because of the vibro knife skill and close-quarters combat to Reply everbody love star wars podcast check on him to asking him to join in he is new winner on the to thank you to him on the comment this week okay roll the chip talk later.
If I had a nickel everytime a rebel/insurgent named Nemec was killed in Star Wars, i'd have 2 nickels which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice.
"That guys' still not dead!!??"......Gotta be Tech???
I didn't realize it when watching the episode myself, but the way clone agent speaks actually sounds similar to crosshair. With that in mind the theory of them being cloned from crosshair or augmented from his dna seems more feasible. Maybe that extraction of genetic material is what caused his hand tremor.
17:40 Those were literally Cut's kids, half humaan half twilek you could see it in their skin
The children were between 8 and 10 years old, but barely a year had passed since the First Battle of Geonosis, so it's impossible for them to be their biological children. His father was a different person.
They are half human and half Twilek, but it’s been confirmed that the human half didn’t come from Cut
The broken panel on his arm not working has to be a sign it’s tech
I like the theory that the Clone X is Tech but if is Tech then... why Hemlock didn't use it to thread Omega or the Batch to comeback or something like that??
Maybe it's Tech’s abilities transferred into the Clones. Hemlock could have used Tech’s mind the same way the Techno Union used Echo.
@@elizabethtrudgill3567 when crosshair sees him through the thermal the legs looked like it was metal or something. for example tech hurt his right leg so maybe they found the body and replaced the leg with a metal one instead? going based off rockstar breakdown channel with eric voss
Hemlock is probably going to do exactly that at some point. First preference will be to snatch Omega without exposing the location of Tantis, which is what they tried to do here.
I like to think Boba Married a Twi'lek dancer from the local cantina and had a bunch of kids that look like Jaden. Maybe it could be the best Episode of Mando Season 4.
Wolf was in rebels so.
Sadly I feel the unknown Imperial operative is going to be revealed to be Cody and Rex will have to be the one to take him out. 😭
OR
The operative will be a clone of Crosshair, he is a pretty decent sniper. 🤔
Shadow Assassin 3 would destroy TR-8R (FN-2199), but TR-8R is the most memorable
Finally episode 7
I hope the assassin is Tech, but I have a feeling its a fakeout and its Cody.
I have two theories on that shadow trooper I either think its a clone of crosshair (why his arm is so messed up) or tech survived and the empire captured him
I think its tech that is that assasin or like version of him whit more robot then flesh
What if Tech is the shadow clone?
They can still reproduce if they wanted, that was just more so a general military policy the GAR had that Rex said to Cut during that 2-part arc. But they didn't actually have the clones be neutered in any way. And above all, it's never been stated in the lore whatsoever, to my knowledge, that they've been sterilized or anything. So, who knows? There could in fact be SOME half-clone children out there in the galaxy!
Where is Cody????? I'm calling it, that Clone X Trooper is either or Tech or Cody. hopefully i am completely wrong 🤞
